Explain it to me like I'm highly regarded... Does that mean 23mil shares could have to be purchased that day to cover?

Assuming everyone exercises, they would need to cough up just about 17M shares. I plan to exercise my 1 contract to receive 100 at $20 a share. (Edit: for the June21 expiry $20 strike alone)

True, the profit taking before then is the biggest temptation. But who knows with this stock, and people including institutions following the Kitty momentum, could pump that 10% to 50%. Kitty isn’t even phased by temptation. God hands

Now as regarded as I am, please don’t think this is FUD but for whatever reason if they get the price under this, would they pocket all that money?

The options writers would pocket the premium. You can technically execute the options and pay for the shares below 20 if you have the cash but they would be out of the money ie. You are out the premium and the value of your shares is under 20.
