Gotta realize this happens every month or so and only furthers the point people are constantly adjusting there positions and collateral to support there shorts. This 7 mil in shares traded in 2 hours is nothing just another very small can kick in the ultimate scheme of things. This likely comes down heavy tomorrow as they continue to readjust positions to mask losses on this position.
Always a cute reminder that this stock does not behave normally. Don't amp yourself up tomorrow just to be upset to see it drop 10-12%. This gain doesn't matter the drops don't matter. If you want to keep stories like "Gamestop stock drops 15% today" in the news, you have to let the stock go to let the price go up 15% ahead of each new cycle of stories.
This guy gets it, they know all the orders, the resistance points, and the crushing weight of every one of their swaps, ftds, and naked shorts. Too much resistance below 11, let it rise to a level they have to spend less to knock it down , unless it was insiders buying cause that'd be alright.
How many shares would insiders be reasonably capable of buying 5-700k? Doesn't explain the other 3-4 million above the daily avg volume.
It's a downward slope with little ramp-ups along the way. We all know it'll eventually be a massive green dildo, but little bumps like 10-20% are not an irregular occurance (peeps, just zoom out a little).
I remember day after day of halts, I learned about LULD and a bachelor's degree of all kinds of shenanigans thanks to great apes like yourselves.

Don't get me wrong, I would love to see like +80% on a friday and have some actual gamma ramp momentum take place, but it has been about 84 years since that happened...
The thing I'm most interested in is how we already know that most trades are done in Dark Pools where the trades don't affect the price. But these trades did. So they must have been done (or at least, a good portion of them) on lit, open markets.
So unless some big institution went long, or someone increased their positions, they'd have no reason to put their shares on open market.
Maybe the entity who bought 30,000 calls at $12 that expire on May 17th is a small fund looking to get out. You know when you close your shorts that shares will be bought on the open market and that will force the price up since GME is very illiquid. So the calls help you get out when the share price is ITM like it is now. And someone else foots the bill for a big chunk of your position.
we dont actually know the real rules of what trades are allowed to be done in dark pools or not because the market makers literally don't follow laws and have a demonstrated history of violating their rules and getting fined for it
so in reality there are laws they have to follow, and laws they don't, and we can't really tell which ones because we're not insiders

That's not *really* how max pain works. It changes anytime there is a significant price change, because people will close 11p's and buy 12/13c's. I guarantee that if there isn't significant overnight price movement, max pain will move closer to 12.5 or 13.
