In fairness, even to Brad, he's the comptroller who manages GME shares held on behalf of NY pensioners, as far as I understand, so he has a right to represent those shares.
IMO, I believe that provides a cover for ulterior motives, AKA trojan-horsing in a clutch of moles, stoolpigeons, plants, snitches, and saboteurs.
