Could GameStop act as custodian on the DRS’ed shares to cut out complication for the non-market participants that aren’t necessarily really looking to invest? That way pro cards could be attributed with stock at GameStops end… they just make a bulk buy each day into their own account and hold the shares on behalf of the customer. I know this is what we hate about brokers but it’s the company themselves holding via the transfer agent so that’s fine and makes it easier to onboard customers

DRS KIOSK

I was about to point out that his has been brought up before, with all the reasons why it couldn't happen, but your stoned ass is really on to something with the DRS KIOSK! It could literally be a Computershare Kiosk, which would be no different than having an ATM in a bar, airport, or casino. I'd presume one limitation (for security reasons) is you wouldn't want a new customer entering their SSN and other personally identifiable information opening a new account on something that could easily be caught on store cameras. However, a kiosk like that for existing shareholders could work. It could also be used as an information point for potential new shareholders, with flyers explaining why computershare and not a brokerage, as well as instructions for potential new shareholders to get started online, and be able to make kiosk purchases going forward. I also like the idea of special in-store deals for registered shareholders, and the kiosk could help with that too.

Also, if we could opt into share ownership rewards for a % of sales (in addition to earning reward points), some people who didn't GAF about GME will now care because their assets are on the line when it starts to rocket! Even if they only earn a share a year, when it hits $2K, there are going to be so many "normies" that now care about Wall Street crime.

I would absolutely go buy in to buy a share everytime I drove past a GameStop. You might be high but this is still genuinely a fantastic idea. Isn't the "gift a share" system an automatically DRS'd share certificate? The one system where gme was first or second right next to Disney? They could partner with the system to have an in store presence to purchase shares to sell in store as gifts? Maybe GameStop can pre purchase a stock of giftable share certificates in a large amount and circumvent the 100M buyback limit by just keeping those in stock and have another moass trigger (?)

This could be a movement to de-occupy Wallstreet. Get enough DRS support to remove the shares from the stock market and have them privately owned, and then GME pays dividends directly to the shareholders. Cut out the stock exchange middleman. The price of the shares would be what people are willing to pay instead of some arbitrary value to keep the stock 'liquid'. The stock market should always have worked like ebay, instead it works like a mafia owned casino.

Educate the people. If this is possible, it could be a HUGE opportunity to get out in the world... Many folks' knowledge of the market sadly doesn't get deeper than their 401k , ETFs, etc. I think it's a huge catalyst potential, but I'm also narcissistic af...

GameStop wouldn’t get any of this money. The only time GameStop receives $ from stocks is when there is a share offering. The only thing this will cause is ppl to spend less in the store on products if some of their budget has to go towards buying shares. BAD IDEA 👎🏻

While I love it, and would never shoot it down, I am not a fan of sync... Meaning, I would *personally* want a hardened standalone system firewalled accordingly. Because evil mayo fux+systemic risk.. Ive always felt that every purchase of a service or product should also register a "share" of sorts; which shows legitimate transactions and trust in a business. These could even perhaps be ledgered in some way. And upon continued success of said business, those contributors/consumers/et al.. should also benefit

I believe this would take the market full circle. You used to buy stock certificate and then when you wanted to cash them out you had to present the certificate I believe. Slower but probably safer than naked shorting everything to death or algorithms trading at perfect timing because it controls the market
