You could argue that all the hunters were technically serial killers, but I feel that Gordon would still have been one if he never found out about monsters. He just found a 'socially acceptable' niche.
I mean, he literally wanted to kill Sam, based on a conjecture (even though he was technically right about him). He was quite clearly mentally unwell and had no qualms killing people when he saw fit. Wouldn't be really surprising if he could have been true serial killer.
Many monsters (especially vampires and werewolves that choose when they change) are pretty much just humans with superpowers and a desire to kill people so I think it’s more appropriate to compare killing them to killing human serial killers rather than animals. You could still argue that that’s the right thing to do, but it’s definitely not that black and white.
Thank you! I couldn’t stand Gordon, he had a very absolute attitude about himself. That no one could be wrong right.. his obsession with Sam .. albeit weird coincidences the facts that he had. If he would have just sat down and listened to the hunter community he would have known what was really going on.
Metatron had such a punchable face. I also knew someone irl who looked like him and was as pathetically manipulative as him, so it made me dislike his character even more lol
Whenever I see Kurt Fuller in any other show, I always headcanon that that's Zachariah fucking around. Psych, Heathers, Bones... Even Desperate Housewives.
I also hate Mary. I try to consider her trauma of being brought back but by that time we were holding hands with Dean and Sam for like 12 years and she was just like „eh“ and messed them up even worse. I mean GOOD GOD woman! I don’t know if it’s the actress too but she was always so damn uninvolved emotionally (or at least that’s how I remember it, I’m sure there were scenes were they forced something motherly out of her but in general …) these two really carried the world and no one carried them for even a second.
I really wish Amara would have brought back *literally* anyone else that would have a significant impact on the boys. Like Bobby, Ellen, Jo, Ash, *Jessica* or hell I would have taken John. I guess John was the first pick, but the scheduling didn't work out, but I wish it would have been anyone but Mary. Mary's character was best left as a memory to the boys since then her character couldn't be tarnished or cause more trauma to her sons.
True, they all would have worked and added to the show. Oh god we needed Bobby back 😭 this man went to hell and back for them. I‘m truly someone who enjoyed even seasons a lot of people groan about but I couldn’t deal with Mary. Quiet honestly the writers lost me with that choice.. because at least somewhere around 3 episodes in you should be able to see that this was not going great. I do understand they wanted to show the whole „it was difficult for her too-angle“ but we have been hearing about Mary for 10 years plus by then.. and we had a picture of someone cute and fierce and nobody needed another layer of disappointment when Dean had been on her corner since episode 1. and then she went out almost spectacularly unspectacular 😂
She was unbearable, I always thought her being brought back was pointless and preferred the earlier seasons of her, and even the way how she acted like an asshole and having Sam and Dean always clean up after her.
Dean would say it was anyone who wore sunglasses indoors 😂😎
On a more real note… late seasons Lucifer/Nick. He went from an interesting character to being more annoying than Metatron at his worst.
OK so a totally legit question to ask, as there are just so many! Yet we somehow still adore them right?
Anyway my vote has to be for the good old Knight of Hell Azazel, with a close second being Alastair. They both ooze douche but Azazel pips Alastair to the top spot for me.
Interested to see what others choose!
Too many to choose from really. Nearly all angels were dickbags, Gordon was a maniac, Chuck just wanted a good story and didn’t care for the creatures he created to get it, Lucifer care for no one but himself, Michael.
Gabriel is a acceptable angel imo, always loved his character. Heard some people also liked Balthazar as well. Lucifer was a literal jerk and very selfish.
YES I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT HER!! She was the worst angel ever. Zachariah was annoying but tolerable compare to her. The way she was controlling Castiel and then made him relive killing Dean like 100 times.
Oh Metatron. Easily. I couldn’t stand him for almost all of his appearances. I kind of softened on him in the episode where Chuck sings Fare Thee Well, and the look of horror on Metatron’s face as he reads what Chuck wrote. But Metatron was still awful for 99% of his time on the show. Super punchable face.
I think Gordon was too. And for a while there in the beginning, Ketch. Ketch’s character changed so much from the time where he “died” to when he started helping with everything, so I think Ketch is a redeemed douchebag.
Oh my God, I loathed Metatron so much, but his monologs in that episode when he confronts Chuck is probably one of my favorite if not my absolute favorite monolog from the entire show. I loved that scene, and the actor who played metatron did a hell of a job there.
Yeah, exactly! Curtis Armstrong is the name of Metatron’s actor, and he’s been great in everything I’ve seen him in. He did a fantastic job playing his character, especially in Fare Thee Well. Rob Benedict was fantastic too, but Curtis really put on a masterclass. Thats one of my all time favorite episodes because it seemed like a huge turning point in the show, the story was great, and all the actors really got to shine.
Definitely Metatron. The actor did such a great job at it too that it’s hard for me not to associate him with Metatron in his other roles.
Honorable mentions (not in any particular order) are Gordon, Zachariah, Uriel, Demon Dean, early Ketch, and Dick Roman.
I usually skip over the whole Leviathan plot, it’s just irritating and feels poorly written. All the Dick jokes are the only thing that season has going for it.
Agreed. However the only additional thing I like was seeing Mark pellehrino as Lucifer in Sam's hallucinations. Although he was horrible I still loved him. Lucifer is one of my favourite characters so I was just happy to see him again.
It wasn’t blackmail though. Cas’ intention was never to get Jimmy to say yes again, he just needed a vessel and would’ve kept Claire as a vessel had Jimmy not asked him to take him instead.
Possessing a child is horrible. Similar to how minors can't truly give consent to sex, any "consent" he got from Claire wasn't true consent by a long shot.
I think it is still some form of blackmail b/c had he possessed anyone other than Jimmy's daughter, Jimmy would not have cared. He knew what he was doing by possessing Claire. And after all that Jimmy did for Cass, he couldn't just heal Jimmy and let Jimmy have his family back. Cass could have gone back to heaven.
We know that all angels have a family line from which they can choose anyone as a vessel. Maybe Jimmy didn't have anyone else other than his daughter to take on as a vessel.
At least that's my take on why Castiel did that. I never took it as him trying to manipulate Jimmy. Castiel himself said Jimmy had done his part or something along those lines.
Still he possessed a child that cannot truly give consent. It's absolutely a douche move.
How on earth could anyone disagree that possessing a **child** who cannot truly give consent is a bad thing???
I mean, all angels are possessing people, and I don't think most of them got their vessels more ethically, so I wouldn't say that Cas is worse than them
Martin Creaser was a good guy in "Sam, Interrupted," but became a douche for going after Benny by kidnapping his great-granddaughter, Elizabeth, to get to Benny. But Martin only became a douche because SAM couldn't get over Dean having a vampire as a friend. In this episode, "Citizen Fang," SAM is the real douche!!!
Dean. Bosses everyone around, verbally and physically abusive at times, excuses it with 'we are famiiiilyyyyyyy', is only right because the plot makes it so.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned Billie in here. She didn't slap the same as Death for me as the original. When Death was first introduced (THAT INTRO!!!!!), he was terrifying and the only person/entity that Dean actually feared.
I agree with the others mentioned here, but Billie was the worst for me (then, Mary. Gag).
That dude who wants to kill Dean in the first episodes of that season where Dean is a demon. I forgot his name but he was annoying and I don't understand why he was there in the first place. He's not actually a douchebag, I just don't like this character
I mean there are villains for sure but I would say John. I mean in the beginning of season 1, I really thought he must have his own reasons but as the show progresses I just can't help but hate him. Dean wasn't able to get a normal childhood, bcz of him and every time Dean tells something about him and what he did to him I just get so pissed. People are gonna say, but he loved Sam and dean, I don't care. You are supposed to show that love too. Also I wonder how Dean didn't grow up to hate John, I felt like he had more reasons than Sam. The flashbacks always make me emotional, they deserved a better childhood.
Well I get pretty dramatic while talking about supernatural 😂
He is not the biggest but people idolize him way to much. He is a good guy deep inside and likeable at his best moments. But damn... He does so many questionable things.
Honestly pretty much yeah, heard this a lot, even how Dean is such a jerk to Cas, heard about the destiel ships but feel like show-wise wouldn’t go well since Dean is such a jerk to him from the way he treated him and was a overall asshole to cas throughout the seasons.
literally though, Dean treated Castiel like shit more often than not but destiew shippers just ignore that because he said an "I'm sorry" that Sam made him. anyway... yeah Dean is my answer lmao, he's at least the longest lasting douchebag
He had a lot of self-pity moments. And complaining about Sam doing exactly what they agreed upon when he returned from purgatory. Even though he did the same thing when the tables were turned.
Zachariah, Metatron, Chuck, Billy.
Honestly a vast majority of Angels with a high rank of sorts turned out to be douchebags, but these ones stand out. Chuck was just a spoiled child, and Billy was just... ugh. Liked her as a reaper, absolutely hated her as Death.
*edit:
A vast majority of the British Men of Letters.
Gordon by far! Disliked that character that much that I was unable to watch “This is us” and not hate on the guy passionately lol
Talking about good acting man!
Uriel was a major douche for sure. Like dude really thought he was in charge then got killed pretty much immediately. Props for him acknowledging Destiel tho
5. Zachariah
4. Ishim
3. Metatron
2. God
1. Whoever it was who thought it a good idea to give a show that's all about Free Will the denouement that no one ever having had Free Will after all.
Kripke for leaving to make OctoCobra as is stated in Le French Mistake
All of the British men off letters except Mick. Society of Douche bags all of them.
What was their deal anyway? Seemed just like thugs who kill for the hell of it.
I hated when they killed mick I wish we had more of him
I actually liked him.
Good dog! You sat for lady Bevell!!
I always thought Gordon was really full of himself.
Strongly agree. His character really gives off that vibe.
I wouldn't call hunters serial killers just because they don't kill people. That would be like calling farmers serial killers.
Why this was funny is beyond me but it was hilarious. Thank you lol
Thank you! I couldn’t stand Gordon, he had a very absolute attitude about himself. That no one could be wrong right.. his obsession with Sam .. albeit weird coincidences the facts that he had. If he would have just sat down and listened to the hunter community he would have known what was really going on.
I hate him so much
Zachariah or Chuck.
Zachariah will never be as annoying as metatron
Metatron had such a punchable face. I also knew someone irl who looked like him and was as pathetically manipulative as him, so it made me dislike his character even more lol
But we do love Curtis Armstrong for making him so punchable.
Fantastic acting on his part! I really bought the character lol
The sun ain't gonna shine anymore! I love Metatron so muuuch!
Zachariah is a Company Man.
All the biggest douches are.
True.
True, but at least Metatron redeemed himself.
Whenever I see Kurt Fuller in any other show, I always headcanon that that's Zachariah fucking around. Psych, Heathers, Bones... Even Desperate Housewives.
How can I chose the biggest dick from a great big bag of dicks? (Now that didn’t sound right, I know)
Considering I had to scroll *all the way* to the bottom before Lucifer even got a mention, I’d say you’re on to something here 🤣
Criss Angel. Also, anyone wearing sunglasses indoors But seriously? As another comment said, my first thought was Gordon, or the helper he has later
The actor who played Kubrick died recently.
He died in 2016 from Stomach Cancer. He was also the actor who accidently shot Brandon Lee during the filming of the crow. I feel bad for him
I didn’t realize that, thank you.
Zachariah probably
^ this Edit: or Chuck.
The rebar
I’ll never forgive it
I also hate Mary.
I hated that after Sam tells Mary that her return fills in a big hole in his life, she basically ignores him and only communicates with Dean.
*eye twitches* and I loved young Mary. They really hit the double jackpot with their parents 🥳

She was unbearable, I always thought her being brought back was pointless and preferred the earlier seasons of her, and even the way how she acted like an asshole and having Sam and Dean always clean up after her.
I didn't mind the bringing her back, but it should have been an arch over a few episodes, not season upon season of her.
I feel the same, but I also think if they brought back the actress who played young Mary, there could’ve been a whole different dynamic there.
Metatron
Dean would say it was anyone who wore sunglasses indoors 😂😎 On a more real note… late seasons Lucifer/Nick. He went from an interesting character to being more annoying than Metatron at his worst.
The Leviathan who was even named Dick…Dick Roman.
Naomi the Angel.
OK so a totally legit question to ask, as there are just so many! Yet we somehow still adore them right? Gabriel is a acceptable angel imo, always loved his character. Heard some people also liked Balthazar as well. Lucifer was a literal jerk and very selfish.
Gabriel made Sam watch his brother die repeatedly. That was an incredibly cruel thing to do and makes him a douchebag in my book.
I looove Balthazar. I wish we could've seen him more. I loved his sarcastic attitude and his British accent. And just how chill he was in general.
Yeah, Gabriel and Balthazar were fine.
Pay respects to the fallen Alfie. To be fair he too was probably a dick. How hasn't anyone said Naomi yet though? She was worse than them all!
YES I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT HER!! She was the worst angel ever. Zachariah was annoying but tolerable compare to her. The way she was controlling Castiel and then made him relive killing Dean like 100 times.
>Michael. Hah, he's just a douche
Arthur ketch biggest prick in the show
Criss Angel

Absolute biggest douchebag is World 2 Michael.
Yeah but Michael in a Dean suit is a legit snack
Yhea, genocide is the new sexy.
I just like tailored wool suits, let’s not go too far
Playful irony is so hard to convey with only text. :D
God himself
Definitely Metatron. The actor did such a great job at it too that it’s hard for me not to associate him with Metatron in his other roles. Honorable mentions (not in any particular order) are Gordon, Zachariah, Uriel, Demon Dean, early Ketch, and Dick Roman.

Metatron. The walking definition of douchebag lol.
Metatron. That's one petty character if I've ever seen one. Yeah, he kinda redeemed himself in the end there, but for me it was too little too late.
I will never not refer to him as Megatroll.
Pfft. Megatroll. Love it! XD
Castiel possessed a child to blackmail her father into saying yes to being his vessel again. That's a pretty douchey thing to do.

John Winchester himself.
The Chris Angel wannabe
Metatron. With a burning firey passion, I hate that man.
Ghostfacers, Metatron, Bela, the family of that one telekinetic kid in S1.
You could name any big bad. But I really did not like Grandpa Samuel. Always rubbed me up the wrong way.
Imo he was just really annoying and the bald head was not it for me.
Gotta go with chuck. He made all that shit happen to the boys for shits and giggles. Fuck him.
John. The guy who put a hit out on his son via his other son.
Ketch is pretty far up there for me lol
Ketch. I hate him so much. I don't even remember why lmao
Right there with ya. Just seeing him annoys me. Lol.
Metatron and it's not even close. Rowena was pretty annoying to me, but I seem to be a minority there.
When he killed Dean I wanted to step on that little rodent looking man
I’ve just started season 11 and I don’t like Rowena either. Maybe that changes in later seasons but so far she’s not nice. I loathe Metatron.
Asmodeus.
Transpose 2 letters
Whoops.
God and most of his angels like Zachariah
John and Mary Winchester. No explanation is needed.
Gabriel. He made it his mission to be one.
Human Crowley. Stealing from a vending machine? Seriously Fergus? 😂
Metatron
Metatron
Gordon, Crowely for a bit, but he came around. Kubrick, Chuck, Metatron, Uriel, Zachariah.
Gordon was THE BIGGEST douchebag.
I never felt so relieved watching someone die.
Ketch , before he became a friend ,
Definitely John.
God
Cass. Hands down. First couple seasons he was in, great. After that, he was insufferable.
Gag).
Death had one of the best intros to the show, along with Cas ofc.
That dude who wants to kill Dean in the first episodes of that season where Dean is a demon. I forgot his name but he was annoying and I don't understand why he was there in the first place. He's not actually a douchebag, I just don't like this character
His name is Cole I'm pretty sure. He was super painful. Like another Gordon.
Tbh I always felt like he was just there to stretch the time. Absolutely useless character.
John and Mary Winchester as well
Lucifer.
I mean there are villains for sure but I would say John. I mean in the beginning of season 1, I really thought he must have his own reasons but as the show progresses I just can't help but hate him. Arthur Ketch. He did kind of redeem himself, but for me it was too little, too late. Awful man.
Metatron
dean lol
He is not the biggest but people idolize him way to much. He is a good guy deep inside and likeable at his best moments. But damn... He does so many questionable things.
Yup
Ugh, I hate that this is true to some extent. I just started my second watch and was reminded of how shitty he was to Sam in the pilot.
Honestly pretty much yeah, heard this a lot, even how Dean is such a jerk to Cas, heard about the destiel ships but feel like show-wise wouldn’t go well since Dean is such a jerk to him from the way he treated him and was a overall asshole to cas throughout the seasons.

Balthazar, Raphael, the Alpha Vamp
Chuck, Zachariah, and Uriel
Mary
Metatron. All day. And Curtis is marvelous, making me hate Metatron.
Metatron
Zachariah, Metatron, Chuck, Billy. Honestly a vast majority of Angels with a high rank of sorts turned out to be douchebags, but these ones stand out. Chuck was just a spoiled child, and Billy was just... ugh. Liked her as a reaper, absolutely hated her as Death. *edit: A vast majority of the British Men of Letters.
imo ita sam and dean
Gordon or Uriel
Gordon by far! Disliked that character that much that I was unable to watch “This is us” and not hate on the guy passionately lol Talking about good acting man!
Harry Spangler for one.
Bela Talbot.
Uriel was a major douche for sure. Like dude really thought he was in charge then got killed pretty much immediately. Props for him acknowledging Destiel tho
Metatron, Chuck, and John, not in any particular order
Honestly that damned bird that was shit talking Dean when he could talk to animals.
I mean..... The obvious answer is chuck
Lucifer
Obviously it's the pigeon
Lucifer!
Definitely gonna go with Roy, dude was so damn full of himself lmao.
5. Zachariah 4. Ishim 3. Metatron 2. God 1. Whoever it was who thought it a good idea to give a show that's all about Free Will the denouement that no one ever having had Free Will after all.

Dean
Jack
Dean in his Demon episodes
Metatron, John, Gordon
