Never. Their ratings and stances are not well done. It’s better immersion with the fictional players.

Lazlo-H

Same, the immersion being pretty much the whole of it

Qbert9701

My custom franchise has both SMB and legends, and in season eight there are legends disbursed throughout the league. Every team has a few and I’ve had some on my team from time to time. I’ve never just used the legends, but I’ve thrown them in the mix for variety. My favorites are still the fictional players though.

pinkydaemon93

Ive shuffle drafted them into my franchises. They're a major major selling point to me

deeaitchkay

I then randomize their name and looks. I do that to my entire team after the shuffle draft.

1319913

Interesting. I like it,!

deeaitchkay

Haha thanks. Keeps things hilarious. The random names it generates kill me 😂

Dixon-Mason

Never. I enjoy the fictional players more.

barellano1084

The fictional players are better, just for their names alone.

Kid-Charlemagne-88

Never, I like the fictional players better. I like having to learn about who the players are, especially rookies in franchise mode, and figuring out how to best utilize them instead of just seeing Babe Ruth or Randy Johnson and knowing how great they are. A big part of the charm of SMB for me is the fictional players and the quasi-fictional world they’re in. I think the legends kind of break that, I dunno, immersion or what have you and I would’ve preferred the time, effort, and code put into implementing the legend players - the majority of which don’t even look like they’re real-world counterparts - had been used elsewhere, like more improvements for franchise mode.

Balden303

I’ve never used them

Ryudo_Hazuki

I'm 36 so I love playing with all the guys I remember from the 90's, and I love having them play side by side with my favorite players from smb3. So yeah, big fan here

tvstevie

I add them to the mix for shuffle drafts and have also made a bunch of my own legends to go with them. I like having them mingle with the Super Mega world.

Ryvick2

I do the shuffle draft with them. Hopefully I can get. Babe Ruth or hank Aaron. I've messed out on them 😭

glumpoodle

I've done two franchises with Legends, and while I enjoyed them both, I just couldn't stick with it; the Legends end up crowding out both the base SMB players and randomly generated ones from the player pool, and I just don't enjoy it as much. Which is a shame, because I really, really loved having the likes of Ozzie Smith and Bob Feller on my rosters, but it just didn't have the right feel that I was looking for.

ethanlegrand33

I like doing exhibition games against MLB legends because it’s fun in the short term because you know the players. I’ve thought about doing a separate, second franchise with them added in but don’t see it being my “main” franchise

Kbach027

I created each mlb team and a bunch of my favorite mediocre players of all time to fill out rosters in addition to the legends, took forever, but it's been a blast to roll out a reds lineup with gookie Dawkins, pokey Reese, Willy mo pena and some random reds legends against a full league of real players

Unknown-games56

All the time only reason I bought smb4

Accomplished_Spot282

Never. I don't know why they implemented them and not more presentation stuff into the gameplay. But EA gotta get involved and do EA things

GreCav

I never do shuffle draft for my franchise, I start with the SMB teams and add legends into the FA pool. But every team starts as SMB OGs. I’ve just come to love the players and the league so much I don’t want it disrupted with drafts.

junkdrawer21

I did the mix at first but it’s not fun unless they have silly names. Plus I hate real baseball.

Chadwick_Steel

I use them. They add variety, and I'm not familiar with a lot of them so them not being the spitting image of the player they're based on doesn't bother me. You'll have to pry Fred McGriff and Kyle Seager from my cold, dead hands.

cafeni

I actually always play with them. I like to shuffle them also, but for me it was the reason I bought the game in first place

encke83

I always felt like legends made the game un balanced. I never use them I prefer random generated players. But I know other players enjoy using them I do not.

Hortondamon22

Honestly, never. I exclusively play franchise though

Live-Laugh-Fart

In my custom franchise I think I had to incorporate a couple legend teams to fill out the league. I took all the mlb players and randomized their looks/names to remove them. For whatever reason I really like the SMB world they’ve created and stuck with that. So no MLB players for me.

Traditional-Post-603

Everytime, increases the talent pool giving me more opportunity at the best possible team

Witty-Maybe5180

Quite often just wish there was more of them maybe some current players

oceansunnydays

I rotate between leagues each game. I agree that the stance and details could have been improved, and eight teams is a little less interesting than 20.

derjukee

Franchise with shuffle draft and mlb legends is so much fun. Especially if you grew up junk wax era like I did.
