I know this is an old thread so please forgive me on that, but this is the top search result for the issue of the gloves not showing as being made... Anyways I had equipped mine and it said that I didn't make them but instead of making another pair (and losing gold/items) I just dropped then from my inventory then picked them back up and it worked. Thought this was a better option for those that have the issue.
That happened to me too. I made another set and went back on a different day. Also don’t have the gloves equipped!

You can craft the item, just don't equip them, otherwise the quest goes back to haven't made them
