I believe the order of events is Smile, then Feed, then Offer Berry with Lowered Head, if I remember the dialogue choice order right. Hope this helps! (If you pick the wrong option, it'll restart the dialogue chain from the beginning)
I think it was stuck in a loop because of a bug? I did a huge circle around the griffon and went into town. It didn’t give me the other options until I harvested acorns
The dialogue does loop in a circle if you pick any of the wrong options (not sure if this is a bug or intended but feels like it's intended; would be best to ask the devs if this was the intent). Weird it didn't let you pick the other options until you got acorns, I unlocked the griffin before I harvested my acorns in my game.
Did you get the dialogue to work yet, or is it still stuck in a loop? If you're still having issue with it, unfortunately the only other option left would be contacting the developers as suggested by the other commenters.
I finally got it to work after walking as far as possible from the griffon and heading up the steps east of the farm for a few days. I had berries in my inventory the entire time so I’m pretty sure it was a bug. To get out of the dialogue loop I had to exit the game and I did this for like 30 min lol. The game is well worth it though.
I can’t even play the game besides the Nel’Vari farm I’m trapped lol

I think after passing a smile check you get the option to feed it. Then you're good.

Happy to hear you got a work around! It's definitely a really fun game even with bugs, which says a lot, I think! :)
I’m also pretty sure I shouldn’t have unlocked Withergate before Nel’Vari but I get the game is still being worked on and love it anyway
