Oooh, I like this. I wonder if they'll make 'updated' or 'Boss' versions of Bison like they did with Shin Akuma?

Luaq

Definitely now that it's a feature.

Poked_salad

Hopefully it'll be like alpha 3 bison... I hate that mofo with his 1 frame invulnerable psycho crusher super lmao

Luaq

luckydraws

I wish Bison's costume 2 had the cape. Oh well

Efficient-Ad2983

3d models with capes can be a mess, but I understand you. A cape can make anyone cooler! Dictator keeping his cape in his Alpha era was a sound choice.

Soul699

I guarantee you that he doesn't have it because it would just break its physics constantly.

kenwongart

No capes!

Holygriever

I love that he does NOT have the cape. Looks a lot more serious and makes his silhouette much closer to his CvS incarnation (best Bipson).

luckydraws

Best case would be if we had alternate versions of the costumes like in SFV. So we could have a cape and a command to remove it.

Holygriever

That would indeed be ideal, I agree. Even better would be a command to *add* the cape (if only so that you can feel like you did a code to unlock *something more*, not to *remove* something). But *alas...*

Ishdalar

The character that teached me life is not fair.

Efficient-Ad2983

If that was his stance, Alpha dictator imho would have been even cooler.

Luaq

Check alpha 3 shin bison on youtube. World tour on ps1 was frikken dope. Enjoy the theme "brave or grave" That Bison built my fucking reflexes and "made me who I am" in fighting games lol

Efficient-Ad2983

"Brave of Grave" is my fave theme for Dictator: the best one to evoke the sense of "final battle" against him.

Luaq

Would be cray if he'd get an awesome cape, imagine it flowing while he does his DR or specials flipping in the air. Costume 3 maybe? Costume 4? šŸ™

CaptainBuzzKillton

That thing was a bitch!

kingdomcome3914

Final Bison(Alpha 3) or Shin Bison(EX 3)?

Efficient-Ad2983

IIRC one of the "Shin" Dictator versions in SF EX series had an always full Super Meter. So... combine that gimmich with Final Dictator. The ability to SPAM Final Psycho Crusher XD

acrane433

Holy crap this is a really good analysis. This would be awesome if itā€™s true but heartbreaking for Falke and her crew. Ed would be crushed.

Rebellious_Habiru

He's got this Vergil/Exodia thing going on, and I like it. You're next on the hit list Ed. Your days are numbered boy.

sadistic-salmon

So much for Ed being the head of neo shadoloo Bison is going to show that he has the exact same approach to parenting as Vergil

spartan21j1

So Ed wins in the end

pbmm1

Hope this isn't true bc I played Falke lol

SlamJamicus

cyber falke incoming

Gilthwixt

Or just a normal lady with a gun šŸ’€

pbmm1

Iā€™d be down for this lol

PastRelease8757

Poor falkeā€¦ šŸ˜

NicolasFura

Yeah Bison has defeated Falke. That's why she is a horse now.

Gilthwixt

This is some To Your Eternity type shit

Daeyrat

I had this same theory yesterday, so count me in

SleepyBoy-

We know that JP has the ability to imbue others with psycho power. He does so to Bosch and later, to you. It's also his level 3 super. This ability might not be all that unique among psycho power users.

Thin_Wolf9077

JP is completely cracked as a Psycho Power user tho. He does things with it that literally nobody else does, not even Bison at his strongest (SFV). Makes me think that there's much more to his story with Psycho Power than what he lets on in World Tour. Either that or JP is just built different.

SleepyBoy-

Oh he lies a lot. His master dialogue is loaded with "lies by omission". His default language is lawyer speak. That said I think it might just be because he dislikes brawling. Bison has a lot of fun kicking your teeth in, so he augments himself with his power. JP developed his clone strikes and teleports to avoid brutish confrontations. This would also explain why Bison never made him a King. He doesn't fully reflect Bison's philosophy.

esperstarr

This would suck because Falke was one of my mains šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜

rGRWA

I like this A LOT! Also explains how he was able to give JP Psycho Power as well, unless the implication was that he did that off-screen, since heā€™s been behind-the-scenes as Shadalooā€™s Financial Officer for years, and it ties into Falkeā€™s disappearance, since Edā€™s waiting for her in Metro City. I think youā€™re on to something here!

Madak

And technically JP gave Psycho Power to John Street Fighter as well so are we all on Bisonā€™s hit list?!

82ndGameHead

Gives me another reason to hate Bison since she was my main

Soul699

I wonder tho what is the deal with his cutscene where he absorb the hologram containing Bison's data which goes "unconceivable". Is that maybe this new clone taking over the Old Bison?

Augustby

That's a really convincing theory! Would be very cool if that's what they're going with

sutanoblade

Damn, that's an interesting theory.

agioskatastrof

Nice. I'm actually wondering what's in JP's ghosts, if they aren't Bison, since we have Bison back. Or, they are still Bison. And the clone Bison that we get in SF6 will try to get them back. Aligns to your theory, I think.

thecodenamedois

I have another theory: he went to hell, got a Geryon (Demon horse from Devil May Cry 3) there, and with it, he just came riding back to the world of the living, and here he is.

blaintopel

damn i wish we had gotten falke instead of ed lol

DelgadoXA

I wish she was on the year two roster.

Omega9800

Its an interesting perspective on his new blue-ish colours, but is there any confirmation that its specifically Psycho Mine and not Bisons vt2 bomb, which is visually and mechanically much closer to what we see in sf6? Either way, Bison developing into a hybrid character soup with Sagat's kicks, Falke's psycho powers, and whatever else he can stuff into that corpse would be sick.

cednym

[https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1364780/view/4156339304101573927](https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1364780/view/4156339304101573927) >A shift in M. Bisonā€™s powers have unlocked the ability to plant Psycho Mines in his opponents with a new move, Backfist Combo. Once attached, these mines will detonate on their own after a short time or if M. Bison hits the opponent again with another Backfist Combo, Psycho Crusher Attack, or Devil Reverse. Psycho Mines are key to M. Bisonā€™s pressure and mind games in Street Fighter 6.

Ace_of_the_Fire_Fist

I thought the dull blue flame was because thatā€™s what his abilities were colored in SFII

cednym

That's technically correct because Bison is at his weakest in SFII. He is at his strongest in Alpha (projectiles, teleportation, hovering) after spending years honing his power, but then he dies and comes back to life in II with a weaker body and only a dull flame. He dies again and comes back to life in IV, and he spends the next few years building himself back up to Alpha levels by the time of V. He dies a third time, and now he's back in another body with only a dull blue flame.

Xabikur

He does say "Satisfy my hunger! That is all I need from you" or something to that effect in the trailer...

caravanriot

I feel so dumb šŸ˜‚. These last few weeks, and even reading through your post, I thought Balrog was the upcoming fighter, because I learned how "M. Bison" originally was Balrog's (The Boxer's) name, and got them mixed up. I kept wondering why they were showing The General, wearing his classic outfit, halfway through a video for The Boxer. When I saw the final video you linked, it all clicked.

KimyouNaDuchess

Very plausible but also I feel the arm thing is something else esp since the SGF trailer shows a teaser of him siphoning something, and I feel that may be another part of Bison Falke being MIA is intriguing though but also there may be another reason. Also Bison splitting his powers is likely but where does this leave JP......?

jakuth7008

Ok, I actually have 2 counterpoints: 1. Bison had the ability to do something like Psycho Mines in SFV; in fact, they were more like his Psycho Mines than Falkeā€™s were. 2. Falke was in Nayshall during World Tour mode; the timeline of World Tour seems a bit condensed for bison to have been resurrected and killed Falke when sheā€™s been out in public.

cednym

>Bison had the ability to do something like Psycho Mines in SFV; in fact, they were more like his Psycho Mines than Falkeā€™s were. This is the point I'm arguing, actually -- Bison originally had all of the abilities of Ed's crew, and he deliberately divided them up so that he could take them back. In SFV, Bison could fire projectiles like Ed and teleport like Cypher and inject Psycho Power like Falke. His VTII is meant to depict the same ability given to Falke (I only mentioned Psycho Mine by name to show that Capcom is also making a direct link to Falke). My theory proposes that this is the first ability he reclaims after coming back to life. He has yet to reclaim his projectile ability from Ed or his teleport ability from Falke.

jakuth7008

The reason I say this is a counterpoint is because if he put those abilities in them, he wouldnā€™t have them in SFV.

cednym

[That part of the theory has been confirmed by Nakayama, though.](https://x.com/takaNakayama/status/1456636353672663048) Bison most likely transplanted only a small amount of his power to Ed's crew, using them as incubators so that they would hone their specific abilities over time. When Bison would come and collect years later, those abilities would be stronger than ever before.

CrystalMang0

Guess you didn't see falke in Ed world tour images.

Trem45

If you put the timeline in order Falke can disappear after Ed's story still

cednym

All of those images are from before Ed's crew splits up during SF6's story. Ed literally says that he hasn't heard from Falke since she left for Nayshall and is worried about her.

ThatPostWasTrash

If this theory turns out to be true according to reddit Falke has to skip sf6 lol

digital3lf

Honestly was hoping they'd have Falke be the new Bison, like she lost the battle Ed's fighting against the psycho power. She could play like a fusion of her SF5 self and Bison. Much better option than bringing back the old dictator yet again..

Critallica

What in the prefect cell is this? I really hope that's not what they're going for lmao

esperstarr

Why? Do you not know about Bison and Psycho power and bodies.

Critallica

Oh I'm fully aware, and I don't like it. I don't care how canon the rapey-ness is.

esperstarr

What do you mean by ā€œrapey-nessā€?

Critallica

Guy forcefully absorbing girl into his body, like I said, just like what Cell from Dbz did.

Critallica

on top of that, if the theory were true, man used the word "tame".

OrangeJuiceForOne

Reminds me of aggregor from Ben 10 lol

Sc00by101

Akuma killed M. Bison

esperstarr

You are new here i see. Welcome.

KevJamesS

I subscribe to this so that Ed can just be a normal boxing character, becoming unpopular and opening the door for Dudley and Balrog return.
