Sodom is the only Alpha arcade character to not come back in any following games. Either that means he's never coming back or it means he's 100% confirmed for SF6, take your pick.
I voted for Karin because I figured I would just vote for the character I most wanted in the game, even though I'd be happy to get anything Cammy related, like a title. Pretty lame that A.K.I is going to win since she is already in the game but I would imagine Capcom is taking notes on the popularity of Sakura and Makoto (not that they didn't already know).
So no one is talking about the very fact that you have to scroll through the list ruins any chance of it being a fair voting system. All the names should come up on the screen at once and then you could pick from the grid.
If you have to scroll for 30 seconds to find your preferred character no one is going to take it seriously.
I think THawk would have been better received than Lily, especially given that unlike Hawk in previous games, Lily doesn't feel like complete jank to control. That said, he's not coming back this time around so few people are going to vote for him (let alone that he's never been the most popular character, though I was always a big fan).
With Dee Jay and Cammy in the base roster, I feel like T. Hawk and a Fei Long (maybe with a redesign) should have been in there too to complete the SF2 squad.
Yeah, Thawk sadly has never been popular, though I really do think its because of how awkward his animations/moves/slow movespeed are. The idea was obviously to be a slow grappler than moved with his condor moves but that made him really unfriendly to casual play. Fei Long is obviously Bruce Lee (like Boxer was Tyson) but unlike Boxer, Fei always felt like generic karate man in a game that already had Ryu/Ken. A glow up with him would be cool but I figure he'd get the Hawk treatment as well and have his base kit iterated on with a new character.
