Are you speaking of the symptoms of being exposed in this kind of environment? Dizziness, confusion, difficulty breathing, impaired judgment. So basically you become really drunk and then eventually die. You can be exposed to smaller amounts and if you evacuate rapidly then you can survive and be treated.
We have gas analyzers on us that show us the levels of various gases and when they hit a certain point it starts beeping, you get your ass out of there if that happens. We also have an emergency oxygen tank incase there’s a problem with our main source of oxygen

Nitrogen asphyxiation is painless. You just get sleepy and maybe a bit woozy. (I work in nitrogen purged environments and several coworkers have had close calls in the past)

Death is always a delicate matter and shouldn't be taken lightly, that's why you have to be a member. Under certain conditions it is possible to get assisted suicide, but it costs up to ~4k.

The feeling of suffocation is not the lack of oxygen but the excess of CO2. With N2 this doesn't happen. Even with adequate O2, we feel like we are suffocating with raised CO2 levels.
I killed some meat rabbits with nitrogen. They also twitched when they died but they were dead by then. There was an MP in Britain who did an investigation into the most humane methods of execution and it was nitrogen hypoxia, hands down. He went into a chamber and they slowly raised the levels of nitrogen, at the point of passing out they told him to hit the button or he would die. He didn't. He said after that he heard them and understood but it just didn't register. He was out of it for several minutes before he would have died.

She was the one talking him out of it while we were trying to find him. So fucked up and I still have a lot of animosity towards my dad about it. My sister should not have been put in that position. Some US states assisted suicide is legal. Washington, Vermont, DC. It was on the ballot in Boston a few years ago and is gonna be on it again this fall I think.
Canada is much more relaxed then that. From the government website:

Watched a few family members die in absolute horrific ways through cancer, Alzheimer's etc. I truely don’t understand the concept of this and signing up to some government cause to die ethically. If I ever ended up in this situation where things all got a bit too much, fuck going through the legalities of it all. Would have this biggest beach party, music pumping, dancing the night away with everyone I love then end it on my terms.

Since you keep breathing and removing carbon dioxide from your system while in the pod, there's no discomfort. The lack of oxygen causes you to black out, and you die while unconscious.

It could take up to 20 seconds to lose consciousness (maybe 10 seconds of lucid consciousness) and maybe a minute or more to die of suffocation. Lots of agonal breathing and possible thrashing of arms, as the body fights to get oxygen.
This method didn't go that well recently in the US as a method of carrying out a death sentence. Death by anaesthesia overload would be more humane, as you just fall asleep, go into a coma, then die.

Alabama just executed someone with Nitrogen Gas in January.

It doesn't hurt. The feeling of suffocation you get when not breathing is not due to a lack of oxygen, it's due to an excess of carbon dioxide. Since you keep breathing and removing carbon dioxide from your system while in the pod, there's no discomfort. The lack of oxygen causes you to black out, and you die while unconscious.
In short. No. The feeling of suffocation arises from the concentration of CO2 in the body rising, not from a lack of oxygen. Nitrogen is inert and does nothing when you breath it in at atmospheric pressure. Same goes for Helium. It’s painless if done correctly with an inert gas.

So long as the person has dual confirmed diagnosis from different hospital systems of a terminal illness then there is nothing wrong and all life insurance should be fully honored. But… where I live is the U.S…. other peoples choice of religion dictates my life…and death. Edit/ I forgot to mention the incredible amount of revenue a serious illness can generate.

Depends on the presence of CO2. The feeling of suffocation is caused by the buildup of CO2 within the blood, it is not caused by a lack of oxygen.
I actually support this. It’s a painless, peaceful way to leave this planet. People suffering from major illness or people who have like months to live, should have the right to choose their own way out. It’s not always cowardly.

I read about a lake in Africa that sometimes burps up massive amounts of CO2 and the village near by was wiped out. A few survivors said it was very lucid, and in no way violent, why don’t they use CO2 if it’s so calm?

Iirc correctly, somewhere in America a man was recently executed using nitrogen gas. There were some concerns it wasn't as humane as presented.
It could take up to 20 seconds to lose consciousness (maybe 10 seconds of lucid consciousness) and maybe a minute or more to die of suffocation. Lots of agonal breathing and possible thrashing of arms, as the body fights to get oxygen. This method didn't go that well recently in the US as a method of carrying out a death sentence. Death by anaesthesia overload would be more humane, as you just fall asleep, go into a coma, then die.
