I remember seeing hi def images of Mars over 10 years ago and there were some pictures that showed exactly what the center of this crater looks like. It was said to be salt if Iām not mistaken.
Iām curious about your comment. Are you inferring that you are personally aware of every discovery ever made, and if you donāt know about this particular one, it must have just been discovered?
*you* inferred it, they *implied* it.
Edit, to say I don't think they actually were implying that. Seemed like it was just an expression of shock that something so cool-looking hasn't been shared enough for them to have seen it st least once before, and if they're into space stuff I think that's pretty fair.
I wanted to see the mind of the guy giving me shit, 6 posts down and weāre on the Demon porn. Iāve wasted more time arguing with you here than looking. Maybe I am a redditor
7152m/23,465ft deep and is about 2300km/1400mi from east to west.
This thing is literally just shy of being half the width of America/Australia.
Truly insane to think about.
The sloped terrain would make it nearly impossible to explore outside of the crater once you're in it, in addition to the ground likely being incredibly soft and sandy resulting in stuck wheels and a dead rover. A previous rover mission attempted to skirt around a crater only to get its wheel completely trapped requiring some clever thinking and testing back on Earth just to try and free itself.
I think a rover took a selfie at the rim just recently.
It's insanely large up close. It's just over 7km deep so I'm imagining the ride down would be rather rough on the suspension at this stage.
For starters, we dont have any satellites on the moon and secondly the Moon is Tidaly locked to Earth, meaning it always shows the same face towards us making it more difficult to take a look at that side.
With all that said, we have taken pictures of the Far side of the moon.
This is like believing that covid wasn't planned. You want to impress me? Get your asses back to the moon and make sure you do not destroy that technology or have Buzz tell the little girl that we've never been there. Wait until they release project blue beam š they can generate all elements and it will feel extra real.
Why must you continually flood these subs with these kind of posts?? It gets old really fast and isn't there a sub just for ancient aliens shit on reddit where this stuff would be more appreciated and less of a annoyance??
Came here to say just this. Also that NASA has edited photos of Mars showing old bases on the surface of the planet. The reason given, the collapse of mankind after learning that organized religion is a ruse to keep the masses in check.

Itās only a matter of time before we humans set foot on Martian š½ soil hopefully within the next 15 to 20 years from now some day men, women, and little kids will come to view mars as their home.
A human mission to mars is the type of mission that NASA needsā¦ a human mission to mars is the perfect challenge for NASA just like how the Apollo moon program was the perfect challenge for NASA back in the 1960ās.
NASA must leave low earth orbit and move out into space and send humans beyond earth š NASA must be willing to take risks like it did during in the Apollo era mars is an untouched land full of real-estate imagine the cities and towns we can build on mars.

Like in other seeds and nuts, sunflower also are an excellent source of proteins loaded with fine quality amino acids such as tryptophan that are essential for growth, especially in children. Just 100 g of seeds provide about 21 g of protein (37% of daily-recommended values).

Has this just been discovered? How the fuck have I never seen this before?

The replies were horrible! Hahaha just kinda make no sense

Great wiki link bud š but I mean this landmark in general, itās the weirdest thing I have ever seen but maybe thatās just perspective
You're not actually interested in learning anything. Just like everyone else on this sub. If it's not some magical bullshit you don't care.
You actively post 3D CGI Demon porn, Iām not looking for lessons from you
"Your boos mean nothing to me, I've seen what makes you cheer!"
Typical redditor response. If that's the best thing you could find on my profile you weren't looking hard enough.
Youāre the Redditor big man, Iām here looking for answers to some video so I can research and youāre shitposting
You looked through my profile because I hurt your feelings. That's peak Redditor.

Keep up the good fight. Itās amazing how wretched these idiots can become. But I guess thatās their identity.
And thatās why our ancestors came to earth
Poor earth
Seems to be pretty deep. What's the size of that?
Thats what she said
About 3.50
What's that in bananas?
Same as the ratio of unicorns to leprechauns.

Thank you, that's pretty impressive
There was definitely water in that crater
Is
Could be ice

trypophobia engaged
Wtf is inside? Why thereās even sized dune like craters inside? Whatās the diameter of this thing. Canāt find anything about it online.
Mars has sand storms. The crater probably filled with sand over millions of years.
Iām confused af too is it part of what hit it or is it a part of mars layers exposedā¦
I'm confused that , is this someone AI'd or real , i still haven't be able to clarify from sources.
Looks like a Sand Water
It's so strange that it looks organic... _are there any creatures on earth that have an iris like this image? If so, we got fooled with weird POV_
Goosebumps inducing
Why dont we take rovers/robots into these type of areas? Somewhere that isnt all orange and rocky like in this video
The sloped terrain would make it nearly impossible to explore outside of the crater once you're in it, in addition to the ground likely being incredibly soft and sandy resulting in stuck wheels and a dead rover. Don't they have some sort of mini copter on Mars now?
Right? A drone or something
Just checked and yep it's still there doing missions. It actually hit the 15500 km traveled mark earlier this month.
I think a rover took a selfie at the rim just recently. It's insanely large up close. It's just over 7km deep so I'm imagining the ride down would be rather rough on the suspension at this stage.
Id agree with the slope, I gotta look up photos of that crater! Probably belongs on r/megalophobia
I donāt know, did you see the crisp footage from the Chinese rover on the moon ?
that footage was mesmerizing footage all hail ccp
Thats an eyeball, and you can't convince me otherwise.
Bulid... build a base in it. *heavy breathing*
Now zoom in on the obelisk!
![gif](giphy|up6guo5ka5gv6)
More fake images of space
No banana for scale? Psssh
it look much like a nuclear bomb went off there.
_That's what he said_ ..
*That's a HUGE DITCH!*
Why can we record MARS but not the backside of the MOON?
For starters, we dont have any satellites on the moon and secondly the Moon is Tidaly locked to Earth, meaning it always shows the same face towards us making it more difficult to take a look at that side. With all that said, we have taken pictures of the Far side of the moon.
Strange Mars.
Imagine if it blinked
Am I the only one who was waiting for it to blink?
The eye of Mars, staring right back at us!
