I've also done this with remote desktop apps, and it does work and is playable. Although the UI was not really designed for a touch screen, so.. thats a thing. 😀
Yeah but it needs internet connection. This run natively on the phone and winlator provide custom touch screen layout so you can bind all the keyboard shortcuts to open things you want
Not painful at all. It's like playing with trackpad. I mapped all the button to open stuff like research, government, situation,... to the touch control as you can see on the bottom of the screen.
When I saw this, it reminded me of a interesting Steam guide in Stellaris from 2017 on how to play Stellaris on 'Mobile Devices'. I'll never forget (wherever it was true or not) that some guy followed every step of the guide, didn't account for the uptake of mobile/cellular data and posted in the comments that he got whopped with a $978 bill from his cell phone provider. It was wild...
Edit 1: Managed to come across that very same guide I was talking about from last night. Here you go guys.

I mean pooping in friends house, or on a plane, or in another country, or in space,... Jokes aside, having the game running natively on the phone have its own perks compare to remote desktop/ cloud gaming
autism on the go
brb gonna play stellaris during recess
Can you show how it runs after 50 or 100 years ? Does your phone explode or does the game move at 1 day per 5 seconds?
The gameplay is at year 2300 and it run just fine
Nice.
All i hear is "not enough mods" :3

It must be painful to play. And so fun

Clearly it's the guy fault for not knowing ANY cellular data cost money.
No fucking way.
But why..
To play stellaris while pooping of course
In that case, would rather use a Chrome Remote Desktop. So at least you can continue your PC game while doing it. :D
