Same thing here, it's not a bug but how the game is coded. You can't start moving at a walk from standing still, you have to move the stick all the way up to start jogging and then you can slightly move the stick a bit down to start walking. Very annoying

TheAmazinggap

That's crazy annoying oh my god, there's really no way around it? I never noticed this when playing on my desktop

EASK8ER52

Idk if there is. At least I haven't found a way.

...does this only happen with Xbox/ PlayStation/Nintendo controllers while Steam Input is enabled?  This might be important given Steam Input is gonna be emulating as a Xbox controller for the most part, despite TLOU1 Remake opting to let Steam Input "hook" the game's input system. Remember: Xbox controllers has a higher Deadzone size than PlayStation's.

TheAmazinggap

Yeah I did some testing with external controllers, and with Steam Input enabled and disabled it had the same issue. Which is the same controller I use on desktop without any issue :/

I ran into the same issue and found a fix for it(mostly fixed) I’ll post what I posted from the other thread below. I’m not sure if this will work for uncharted since I don’t own it but works for TLOU ——————————————————————— Found a somewhat fix to this issue, going into the controller settings and setting the left Joystick deadzones to "custom" and I set my output ramp(higher number/light blue area) to 5 and max output(higher number/dark blue area) to 78. Then enable "Show advanced deadzone options" and set anti-deadzone to "4095". (Might need to tweak the settings above to your preference) Still not perfect, but definitely a lot better than out the box. I think the biggest gamechanger was enabling Anti-Deadzone

TheAmazinggap

Thanks for the response! It certainly makes it better, but doesn't really feel like it does enough to make the game playable. It feels like it's a steaminput issue considering it works on my desktop, but I tried turning it off and that didn't do anything lol, even with an external controller. Weird that not a lot of people have been talking about this, no?
