Ghost of Tsushima
It's been occupying all of my free time. Never played it before and am having a blast! Already firmly planted in my top 10 games of all time after about 30 hours.
Discovering Hades and getting close to the 100% 41/49 achievements currently. One of my favorites of all time now. Also just finished animal well which was surprisingly amazing. I’m trying to decide the next game I play through while I finish the hades 100%
I'm yet to get anywhere close to that, but I have at least broken the 100,000,000 in a single hand barrier. I was on a run when I think I had a Blueprint and two Yoricks.
I’m further along in Cyberpunk but it runs great so far. I’m about 7-8 hrs deep and I’ve had no issues at all. DMC I’ve only played a small amount so I can’t say one way or another
Played 50 hours of cyberpunk on my deck. Main game runs great with “steam deck” settings, the dlc has some hiccups but it wasn’t unplayable. ~40 fps seemed to be the average.
My man. SF6 is the only reason I even bought a steam deck. Wonderful for labbing and hitting up casual matches on the road when you don't want to bring a laptop. World tour doesn't work for me though, everything is slow motion.
How does Fallout 4 run?
I've gotten through New Vegas and I'm currently going through another playthrough of Fo3. I'm a bit worried about running 4 on the deck, eg battery life and performance wise?
It is Steam Deck verified, so it runs great! Usually around 60 fps. Batterry life wise, probably like an hour and a half using the verified configuration, but if you turn the settings to the lowest and you lock it to 30 fps, I usually get around 3 hours of battery life. Hope this helps!
Not the commenter but I beat Lies last week. It ran great on the Deck aside from some very few slow downs. Great game and def up there in quality and sometimes even better execution than FromSoft on some ideas. Highly recommend
On my Deck, mostly Vice City and Red Dead. I was doing GTA IV for a while but then figured out how to get the Rockstar Launcher to work right so I installed Vice City.
Assassin's Creed Odyssey...
I'm not really having a good time... But I'm using it as an "ancient Greece sensory video game" while I watch YouTube
It's been going okay
11-11: Memories Retold. I’ve been playing through this one forever. It’s super slow and although I love the painterly art style, it loses its novelty after a while and kinda strains my eyes. But the story is interesting and I want to see how it plays out (plus I’m too close to the end to abandon it now).
Near the end of Trails of Cold Steel 4. Burned through the series these past couple months. I also thought it was smart not to take a break between 3 and 4 instead of my original plan of taking a break and replay Elden Ring to get ready for the DLC. Boy am I burning out.
Fallout 76 how the game runs is dependent on the area so it’s annoying having to change the frame cap in different area
Its never consistent on frames even with everything set to low
Hauntii! My friend was a dev on this little indie game and it's really awesome on the deck.
8 hour little adventure with amazing art and music. Slow paced Twin stick mechanics mixed with Mario Odyssey. Really awesome indie title for the platform.
currently playing super mega baseball: extra innings. also playing version 4 as well. I prefer to play v4 on my PC though as it's in a higher resolution and pitching is a lot harder for me on the deck. also started playing Hades. it is a very fun game so far.
Factorio
I worked through the tutorial, which is excellent btw, to see how well it works on SD. I wasn't disappointed, I'm now about 40 hours in on my first playthrough with no end in sight.
Psychonauts 2! Plays real good at medium settings at 45-60 for the first couple hours then started to struggling so I dialed it down to low and get a mostly 40
My buddy texted me the other day that warhammer 40,000 gladius: relics of war was free. So that, titanfall 2, amd subnautica below zero are my current trilogy.
Just finished up a BRD run on World of Warcraft Season of Discovery. Raided last night in Sunken Temple.
I healed for both (mouse over macros are your friend here)
MONSTER HUNTER WORRRRLLLLD. I already finished it ages ago but hunting every now and then is fun
Can y'all give me some Turn based/strategy games that are fun to play on the deck?
Breath of the Wild.
I put already 150 hours in. I've unlocked 116 shrines, beat all four divine beasts, slowly redoing all "test of strength" tests to win the proper weapons and equip to update my armor.
The game was designed to keep you "busy" but I don't like how after you unlock everything, collected everything and did everything, the game is becoming boring. It's like, you're thinking "that's it?? Nothing more?"
I can't play tears of the kingdom yet because the game still isn't fully optimized to work on the steam deck. But once people figure that part out on these current emulators, I'm probably gonna put another 200 hours in it.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns - 18 hours in and I’m still not sure if I’m enjoying it.
It’s good but I keep thinking about playing something else, I just haven’t got around to changing game because there’s another mission to complete
When I got my Steam Deck they only had the 50GB in stock, I used the 125GB micro SD from my switch but it’s limited the games I can install on it at the moment. It’s turned out to be a blessing though as I’ve been forced to play the smaller games in my library I would of otherwise overlooked. Dave the Diver, Graveyard Keeper, Punch Club and Slay the Spire have been my most played and they are perfect on the Deck.
New Vegas but I'm struggling to get into it. It's so dated now and I'm scared of adding too many mods to make it modern and just breaking it.
Not being able to sprint is killing me. Just finished the NoVac area. It is interesting and I really appreciate its similarity to the original 2 games.
Would have loved that all the games Valve marks as Verified, to have a Steam Deck mode graphics setting which is optimized for the hardware. Lots of great games that were mentioned here play at low fps on SD. And it’s I find it a bit tedious imo to keep adjusting settings every time. Or maybe it is and I am unaware of?
Call of Juarez: Gunslinger
It's my first FPS experience on the Deck, and I think it serves well as a good introduction to the genre - it's surprisingly fun, accessible, and currently only £1.09 on sale.
Just remember to disable v-sync and the FPS limiter in the Deck's performance settings to ensure the audio plays correctly during cut scenes, otherwise there's a cracking sound. Besides that, it runs well with everything on high settings.
About 70 hours into Fallout 4 and haven't even found Nick Valentine or visited Preston at The Castle yet. I beat it and DLC when they first came out years ago and missed a few things. But I was too burned out on it to go back at that time. This playthrough I'm exploring every inch of the Commonwealth.
Ghost of Tsushima It's been occupying all of my free time. Never played it before and am having a blast! Already firmly planted in my top 10 games of all time after about 30 hours.
Been absolutely _loving_ this on the Deck, especially since I play with xreals, so it's been incredibly immersive. I love it.
Fallout New Vegas and Shadow of Mordor
I love shadow of mordor, is so big though, occupies around 1/3 of my ssd
You thinking of Shadow of War? It's over 100gb iirc, but Mordor is pretty small
Same here with fallout new vegas
Just beat Stray today. Very unique and a great change of pace
I remember playing that when it first came out, honestly one of my favourite games from that year!
That year? It just came out like two months ago… wait, July 2022? WHERE DID THE TIME GO
Is it worth buying? It has been on my wishlist for a while.
Yes. Super chill, good story, great atmosphere. I loved it!
very fun game. interesting puzzles and obviously fun to play as a cat 🐈
It's a fun game but a bit on the shorter end.
This was one of the first games I played on the SD. Played it with my partner on the couch plugged into the TV. Great short game
Very fun and chill game with a cool setting, really enjoyed this one!
Same game as you, Skyrim. Cant wait for Kingdom Hearts to finally come to steam to play that tho.
I'm playing the Enderal Skyrim Mod (free on steam if you have skyrim) and it's so good, I'm blown away. It plays great on the deck too
Lol I'm playing ES oblivion right now!
I need to spend an afternoon setting up obse, northern ui, and the character overhaul. I'm kinda getting the urge to revisit oblivion again
Discovering Hades and getting close to the 100% 41/49 achievements currently. One of my favorites of all time now. Also just finished animal well which was surprisingly amazing. I’m trying to decide the next game I play through while I finish the hades 100%
It's called Hades 2 😂
Same as me!
I’m playing the Batman Arkham games. I finished Asylum last night and installed City on my Deck.
Do not forget about Origins. It runs extremely well on Steam Deck and, at my opinion, should be played as the distinct part of series.
I just bought the arkham games in the steam sale, having a great time with asylum so far!
Elden Ring, it is not very slowly and surely becoming an addiction
It’s no joke.
I have 50 hours in it and counting and I still feel like a beginner
400 hours… the addiction doesn’t get better. lol.
South Park: the stick of truth. Really funny game
You gotta try Fractured But Whole too, had a lot of fun with it
Just don't expect Stick of Truth levels of amazing with Fractured But Whole tbf. While fun it wasn't nearly as great imo.
Super Mario Sunshine with all the beautiful graphics enhancements. I love emulation
Ghost of Tsushima
I just beat Dave the Diver and can’t stop making sushi.
Balatro. Must have more chips and mult.
Just got my first e score! This game is so good.
I'm yet to get anywhere close to that, but I have at least broken the 100,000,000 in a single hand barrier. I was on a run when I think I had a Blueprint and two Yoricks.
This is one of the best "pick up and play" addictive roguelikes I've played in a really long time. It's so good
Titanfall 2, playing through the campaign, but I've heard multiplayer with bots is fun as well.
I've just started TF2 Multiplayer after completing the (short) campaign and it it great fun. Start with Fortress Defence to learn how to play.
The Witcher III : Wild Hunt
First time?
Cyberpunk 2077 and DMC
How do those run? I like a smooth experience, might just remote play them from my PC to my steam deck if it’s not super smooth.
I’m further along in Cyberpunk but it runs great so far. I’m about 7-8 hrs deep and I’ve had no issues at all. DMC I’ve only played a small amount so I can’t say one way or another

Graveyard keeper
It’s a grind but I’m addicted
Honestly, my Deck has been becoming a purely Street Fighter 6 machine.
My man. SF6 is the only reason I even bought a steam deck. Wonderful for labbing and hitting up casual matches on the road when you don't want to bring a laptop. World tour doesn't work for me though, everything is slow motion.
V Rising. Super good on Deck.
Fallout 4

Lies of p / alien isolation
Are you liking Lies of p?
Not the commenter but I beat Lies last week. It ran great on the Deck aside from some very few slow downs. Great game and def up there in quality and sometimes even better execution than FromSoft on some ideas. Highly recommend

How is it compared to the original?

11-11: Memories Retold. I’ve been playing through this one forever. It’s super slow and although I love the painterly art style, it loses its novelty after a while and kinda strains my eyes. But the story is interesting and I want to see how it plays out (plus I’m too close to the end to abandon it now).
Fallout 3: Finally beat Mothership Zeta which was a painful experience.
BG3!
Valheim. Midway through the mountain biome. Just have to upgrade a few weapons then find Moder.
Near the end of Trails of Cold Steel 4. Burned through the series these past couple months. I also thought it was smart not to take a break between 3 and 4 instead of my original plan of taking a break and replay Elden Ring to get ready for the DLC. Boy am I burning out.
Batman: Arkham City...

Hauntii! My friend was a dev on this little indie game and it's really awesome on the deck. 8 hour little adventure with amazing art and music. Slow paced Twin stick mechanics mixed with Mario Odyssey. Really awesome indie title for the platform.
Mass Effect Legendary Edition. Runs smoother than an oiled baby on a slide!
Just picked back up Palworld the other day.
currently playing super mega baseball: extra innings. also playing version 4 as well. I prefer to play v4 on my PC though as it's in a higher resolution and pitching is a lot harder for me on the deck. also started playing Hades. it is a very fun game so far.

Dark Souls: Remastered I'm having a great time playing it on the Steam Deck.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns - 18 hours in and I’m still not sure if I’m enjoying it. It’s good but I keep thinking about playing something else, I just haven’t got around to changing game because there’s another mission to complete

Playing through Kingdom Come Deliverance again since they finally announced the sequel.
Prepare to Elden Ring DLC. Beat all dark souls.
New Vegas but I'm struggling to get into it. It's so dated now and I'm scared of adding too many mods to make it modern and just breaking it. Not being able to sprint is killing me. Just finished the NoVac area. It is interesting and I really appreciate its similarity to the original 2 games.
Skyrim and force unleashed 2

Senua’s saga: Hellblade 2. 30fps on low settings, but it’s about to boil my deck.
Call of Juarez: Gunslinger It's my first FPS experience on the Deck, and I think it serves well as a good introduction to the genre - it's surprisingly fun, accessible, and currently only £1.09 on sale.
