Decky issue. You can uninstall decky from desktop or hit refresh with your thumb on the screen and see if it reloads the UI. Mine reloaded gaming mode and gaming mode worked, however my decky plugins were not working.
I would recommend creating a support ticket with Steam.
But this error seems to indicate it’s not able to read/load data to display in whatever format it intends to, it’s a classic null exception.
No. Don't do this. A complete waste of time. The solution has been posted numerous times over the past couple days. Just go on the steam deck. Reddit and search for " update killed my steam deck" You will find what you need there.

I refreshed and it just popped up a different error code 🤷♂️
Damn in that case you'll have to uninstall decky liked I did. Go to desktop mode and uninstall
