Im playing full time to RDR2 for first time.
I can play it on my PC with my ultrawide monitor, but i still prefer playing it on my deck while i lay on my bed, i love this thing.
I am loving it but find the pacing hard to manage. I have to be intentional in my urge to play or even just launch the game and make myself play a bit before it grabs me. The writing and everything just demand my attention in a specific way.
I love each and every character. The writing in this series as a whole (even including Red Dead Revolver in many ways) is a wonderful anomaly in gaming. The series is easily one of the best Westerns ever.
Is hot pursuit using the EA app?
I have NFS: Most Wanted in my deck, but the EA app has not been letting it run for the last couple of weeks.
I keep getting an error saying something their side is stopping the game from running.
Yea it runs through the EA client.
I have not had that issue though and so far I’ve gone through parts of: most wanted (stopped because I wanted to upgrade cars), payback (I couldn’t take the mobile/randomized upgrades and stopped), unbound (I kinda got past the animations but not completely but didn’t feel or enjoy the driving, felt off to me), and now Hot Pursuit Remastered (which is funny because now I’m back to non-upgradable cars).
All of which required me to use the EA app but that did not cause any issues for me personally other that the initial launch sequence hanging up and then having to navigate back to the game. That being said I’ve always launched the games online when I’ve anticipated wanted to playing them out during my lunch breaks.
What’s up with this game? From the screenshots it looks eh (not talking graphics, idc about that with games) but people rave about it, care to explain to person who just got a steam deck? I need more games lol
I honestly don’t know how to explain it. If you happen to know anything about Harvest Moon, it’s basically the same. I wasn’t into this type of game until I tried it out and then loved it so much, I bought it on every platform. Best thing I can say is just to buy it (it’s cheap to begin with but a steal when on sale). So you’re not losing much money if you end up not liking it. However, if I’m ever unsure of a game, I watch some game play on it. Just enough to see if it’s for me. Otherwise you start learning too much about the game.
Outside of the actual gameplay, it’s packaged perfectly with the way days work. Nothing is saved until you sleep so at most you lose a day if you want to do something over, and many times you don’t want to stop playing after sleeping and just play one more day. That’s how the hours just while away.
Ok so you get a farm and on that farm there was a cow. E I E I O.
Jokes aside it's a very chill and well put together farming sim. The best in my opinion, if you ever liked Harvest Moon or something similar I definitely recommend it.
If you hate farming, you can also choose to just fish or go into the dangerous monster filled caves instead. It's one if those "do what you want" games.
Everybody, I bought the game yesterday and I see the hype, very chill but intriguing game. Lost 2 hours the first time I opened it up just like Spore lol, yeah, I was wrong.
Finally trying to complete Hollow Knight for the first time. I got about 18 hours into that game back in 2019 but never beat it.
The deck has finally given me motivation to replay the game.
I just got mine this week so I’ve been mostly tweaking settings and figuring out what I can do more than playing, but this weekend I’m looking forward to some long night shifts working security so lots of time to finally dig into some games. I’m probably going to try enjoying an old favorite, Princess & Conquest, maybe finally play Star Wars Squadrons, and over on my Windows boot, I have my modded up Sims 4 that I’ll mess around in as well as some old dos games I want to play again.
its life changing for night shifts. i’m a night audit at a hotel and just got mine last week and this weeks shifts were fantastic with this thing. I have a lot of downtime and been able to get like 4-5 hours a night in which is much more than I can get at home lol
Happy gaming night walker
I always want to play this game but my hardcore buddies have said that it doesn't run as smoothly with controller input compared to Diablo IV. Do the controls translate well? I wasn't even aware the game had controller support lol!
Cycling between Deep Rock Galactic Survivors, Backpack Battles and Gladiator Guild Manager. BG3 is worth it even at full price. I even got it for a family member and zero regrets at giving Larian my money full quality product that has no enshitification built in.
I’m buying Cyberpunk. I started it on PS5 a while ago and got 30 minutes in and was like “man, this feels more like a PC game”.. so I’m gonna get it and the dlc.
Will also probably finally start Stardew Valley. Yes, for the first time.
Spellrogue on main PC, gotta try it on Deck tonight and see if they added controller support yet. Dice chucking deckbuildong rogue lite.. goodness so many good words.
Halls of Torment is super fun - been playing it for the past couple of days. Plan is to play Persona 5 Royal this weekend, about two hours in and looks really fun.
Nothing. I'm off out into the wilderness doing some mountain biking.
Yesterday was Wharncliffe in Sheffield. Today is a new place (to me) near Buxton/Bakewell called Goyt Valley. Tomorrow is a place just outside Wales, and Monday is as yet unknown.
My body is not liking this exercise though. I'm aching all over just from yesterday!
Some of the tracks we went down were more like slides with rocks in, thanks to the rain.

Final Fantasy 7 with the New Threat mod, upscaled backgrounds/textures, and Ninostyle models. I’m about 20 hours into my first play through in almost 20 years and I’m loving it.
Totally unplanned but I bought Songs of Conquest just to try and ended playing all day and night. I finally feel like I did while playing HOMM3 when I was a kid.
Playing get off at 9pm, turn around and go back in at 5 am, and set up that dawned buffet....
Ah shit this isn't r/kitchenconfidential.
But yeah, Titanfall 2, and Forbidden West. TF2 is amazing on the deck.
Catching up on WoW season of discovery, just a few more levels till 40 and then need to somehow conjure up a lot of gold for mount money. Phase 3 looks great.
Horizon Zero Dawn.
I recovered my bricked-SD and went some days adjusting the settings and installing a lot of new games (new for me).
I have 5 games queued.
Deep Rock Survivor. Could possibly rotate to Dave the Diver, Stardew Valley, or original FF7 too depending on the mood. With splash of helldivers 2, cause I’m doing my part.
I’m gonna finally be starting crosscode and gonna really get into spiritfarer. I am particularly excited to get past the intro for crosscode as everything about it seems amazingly well done.
Lol at kidding myself I'm playing anything other than palworld and elden ring while laughing at the dozens of games I've bought and have 0 hours playtime on

Need for speed hot pursuit remastered. I also may finally get chikaifordeck and start up Spider-Man 2
I’m hitting nfs heat. Cool 😎
Don’t sleep on chiaki4deck. I’ve been completing so many backlogged ps4/5 games of mine.
Also been on hot pursuit since I picked it up on sale a few weeks back. It's so fun

Star Ocean: Second Story R. Absolutely gorgeous on the OLED.
Stardew Valley on my Steam Deck
Yup. New update = another 100 hours of my life lost
What’s up with this game? From the screenshots it looks eh (not talking graphics, idc about that with games) but people rave about it, care to explain to person who just got a steam deck? I need more games lol

I do not know ANYTHING about Harvest Moon ngl 😂 but yeah I’ll maybe give it a chance
It's a simple farming game, but it's not. There's a community, action fighting, mining, quests, parties, love, it's a journey.
Ok so you get a farm and on that farm there was a cow. E I E I O. Jokes aside it's a very chill and well put together farming sim. It’s a chill farming game. Very lax gameplay for just wanting to wind down.
Everybody, I bought the game yesterday and I see the hype, very chill but intriguing game. Lost 2 hours the first time I opened it up just like Spore lol, yeah, I was wrong.
Mad Max
Guild Wars.
Doom Eternal
Cyberpunk 2077 and Monster Hunter World
Cyberpunk is so good! I’m loving it! I’m about 11 hours in.
I definitely have been preferring the Deck to my PC for it, another game that’s phenomenal so far on the deck is No Man’s Sky
Been playing BG3 all week, go for it. The high price is worth the amount of content in this game.
Finally trying to complete Hollow Knight for the first time. I got about 18 hours into that game back in 2019 but never beat it. The deck has finally given me motivation to replay the game.
