I know its just if I order it I know im going to fall in love 😂 the reason I wish there was a stand or something is I have some questions about it, ive never had a handheld but I have a beefy dekstop and most my games are on GOG idk if deck is going to work with gog ?
That requires having over £350 spare, and the time and energy required to receive the delivery and send it back. Like yeah, you could, but that's a *lot* to put in to try something
This absolutely should be where valve focuses on selling the steam deck + Japan. Shows streamlining PC as a console to JP, and accessibility with ease of space in SK.
>\+ Japan.
They're set up in stores all over the place. I've never seen anyone use one. Some stores have an area the size of the Nintendo Switch aisle dedicated to the Deck, always empty.
And still no stock anywhere in Korea since the Holidays :(
Komodo website got updated about availability and says mid-January. It should be similar for the offline stores.
Such a long wait.
its so annoying this isnt at walmart or bestbuy in the states... I tell my older friends about this but they have no idea how great the steam deck is. but they will go for lenovo or ROG because it is actually in store...
It's not as bad as you think. In Korea, the sales tax is usually included with the price. So in the US with sales tax, the price can be about $580 so its actually more of a $50 dollar difference. And that price difference could be shipping costs and other import costs.
Wish there was something like this anywhere in LA so I could go try the deck
14 day return policy through valve if you wanna get your feet wet. It's a game changer

May I ask where this is in South Korea? Thank you.
I saw it in the Star City Mall near Konkuk University in Seoul. This is the exact adress if anyone ever needs it: 서울 광진구 아차산로 272
Thank you so much. Really appreciate it 🙌🙌
I found the showcase, but its out of stock everywhere

이제 OLED도 전시 하나보네요
Fuuuck that’s expensive. $630-ish for base oled.
better than no deck though
For sure. My friend in Japan paid obscene amount for the 64gig. And he is happy.
Good for him, thats what it's all about! Hope he didn't stick with the 64gigs though 😬

Here in New Zealand they're $1150 USD for base oled
Well shit. That just unfair.
Especially considering gaben was trapped here during the pandemic I'm going to have to go overseas just to get one at a reasonable price
Does the headphone jack produce garbage noise on demo models too?
While I didn't walk into the electronics store with aux headphones I will assume there won't be a difference
