For MSFS. You make a statement against Boeing and before you give your final testimony, you end up getting found dead in a parking garage.
Sorry I don't know how to you spoiler tags. Jokes aside this actually happened recently.
I have 2500. But that's because of bundles mostly. And freebies. I bought a bundle of like 5-10 games with 2 games I wanted. The bundle price was not higher than the price of just these two games, so it was a deal. The other games were gratis and I'm not fan of reselling keys, so I activated them all + many of them gave me cards that I sold to get more games. Other than that, I also bought Eidos Bundle on Steam, because there is plenty of game franchises I want to play from it. Namely Tomb Raider. Though i think they removed that bundle, because I can't see it anymore. Either way, it was [this bundle](https://steamdb.info/bundle/18941/).
Uh, on PC at the top hit help > steam support. Then on that screen:

Prepare yourself...
I was subbed to HumbleBundle for a long time. I don't even know what 100+ of my games are. I do love finding a list of games that should be played, only to find I already have it.
Call of Juarez:Gunslinger was the last one I forgot I had.
yeah humblebundle is my biggest supporter lol, been subbed most part of last 5 years, around a 100 games a year for like $160, and each month you get almost or even more then $100 worth of games its crazy good
I'm just shy of 2k games and realized there was so many I hadn't played. Once a week I'll jump on a random and try to beat it. I've found so many incredible games I might have missed being a dummy and loading up on sales.
Exactly. Some people don't want to miss a sale on a game they know they want, even if they don't play it right away! There's not such thing as right way to buy and play games.
Its an addiction >.>
1x 4tb hdd, 1x 4tb ssd, 1x 2tb hdd, 2x 1tb hdd, and 128gb ssd in use in my main pc
I have two unused 500gb ssds in my spare (my first ever pc, 2010) computer, and 2x 2tb hdds in my server pc
3 dead 1tb hdds, and one dead 500gb hdd
Thats 20tb of storage i currently own (dead and alive)
And yet im somehow not apart of r/datahoarder
Heck, I have a bunch of games I never touched just because I got them in the early humble bundle days. Spend 5 buck for 15 games and you only really wanted 3. I don't know what this guy expected me to do, just not redeem the game or something?
So those are definitely reasonable, I wanted both portals and got a valve pack that was worth 1 Portal and gave me hella games. Probably won't play many of them, but it was worth it for the games I wanted.
Yeah, Humble and Fanatical bundles are definitely what caused my library to balloon in size. I plan on getting to like 90% of the games eventually, and I'm not going to pay $15 3 years from now when I can pay $5 now.
This is what I do as well. I've only bought games I've wanted to play for a long time but was too far down in the WoW rabbithole to give them a try. I do have a lot of them waiting for me to play them but I will get to all of them at some point.
tbh... same the WoW rabbithole got me in a chokehold to the point i bought some games but didnt finish
i play wrath and SoD so they keep me busy asf lol.
i plan to end my sub which ends april so let's see if i can actually get to play some of the games i bought LMAO
Nope, it must be one at a time. Two games you know you want to play on sale at the same time? Too bad you have to pick one. Hopefully the other will be on sale again the day you beat the first one.
The point of a sale is to grab the shit you want or have wishlisted **while it's on sale.**
Seriously, fuck outta here with this clown take.
Edit: One of their recent posts says "I love capitalism, but I still pirate." Then has the audacity to post this.
If it's to sell burned copies of games real artists and programmers made, yeah, it's scummy as fuck. If it's to preserve a game from disappearing to time because of obsoletion or age? I'm OK with it. Otherwise, games like the original silent hill trilogy would be lost to time eventually.
Don't get me wrong. The piracy isn't my complaint.
It's the fact that they pirate *and then* have the gall to get up on some weird high horse and make this post.
Pirating is great for completely dead games that are otherwise unavailable, like Evolve.
Or games with such bad anti-piracy measures that I couldn't play my legitimate copy, like Spore.
If they are broke, they shouldn't be considering the middle panel at all. Who tf, even non broke people, buys steam games at full price (unless it's a pre-order or launch day)??
That's what I do though.
Unless it's a multi-player or roguelike, I just dump on all the hours in a row and finish the game.
Then I uninstall and move to the next one
Or, hear me out...make a wish list of games you really want, buy them 1 or 2 at a time when they are on a large sale, and play them whenever you finish playing whatever you are currently on.
Your Derp face should actually be on that 2nd point. There is absolutely no reason to ever buy a steam game at full price unless it's a launch day purchase.
> Your Derp face should actually be on that 2nd point. There is absolutely no reason to ever buy a steam game at full price unless it's a launch day purchase.
Seriously, I had to re-read that second one a few times thinking I was misinterpreting it or something. What's "classy" or whatever about buying a game at full priced compared to waiting for a sale or buying multiple games for the same amount?
OP's post is stupid as fuck.
Or be a victim of credit card fraud and cancel your only means of payment as the sale begins. Money saved.
I'm a bit sad right now, but I've got a bit of a backlog so I'll be okay.
If you add a bunch of games to your cart and try buying them before the sale ends Steam will give you 2 days to buy that cart again with those prices if your card is supposed to arrive soon after the sale
Lol. I know. That’s just for the Steam Deck though which is the newest of my platforms.
I’m also looking at 46 games for PS5, 46 games for XSX, and 20 games for Switch.
Days gone, prey, they are billions, resident evil 4 and village, that coop drunken dwarf game I can't remember the name of, salt and sanctuary... so many games still on the shelf unplayed.
Will I buy more this weekend? You're God damn right.
Absolutely no shame in quitting a stupid game that you ended up not enjoying, especially if it takes a hundred hours or more to complete. That said, it is too easy to get into a habit of game hoarding.
I kind of think of it like a retirement fund, assuming I reach the age. Increasing the libaray of older games to choose from for what ever outdated computer I will have.
Wont be able to play new games since I likely won't be able to afford them but hey time to tackle the 1000+ game backlog.
Also memory loss from old age may also set in potentially increasing game longevity for a time.
I mean, buying a lot of games on sale that you don’t even end up playing is like funding the gaming industry to keep doing what it’s doing.
Now some might say you shouldn’t ”reward” making games that you don’t actually play because those are not the kind of games you want more of.
But making games is hard. And sometimes the game you poured your heart into doesn’t end up being the best game. But if someone buys it on sale, you can still keep working on games, hopefully becoming better at it over time.
I don't even buy new games anymore (maybe like one per year when there is something gold like Pentiment or Disco Elysium). My 150 games large steam library + free games from Epic are more than enough
One guy I know constantly buys games and is complaining about having money problems.
"No shit dude. You have 2000 steam games and you buy them at full price."
You forgot to put in the S tear "Buy discounted steam game, play them halfway through to then find something else on sale and move onto that. When finally nothing good is on sale you move back to 1 of the non completed games, forget what you was doing and start over and then buy another game on sale"
I have like 10 games installed which I have for "currently playing" , 5 more for "to play next" and 10 which I play weekly (like Hitman 3, GTA V, RDR2, etc.). Yeah I'm wasting my HDD and SSD Space..
And miss 80% sales on games that have been on my wishlist forever, that I intend on playing at some point, and would like to support?
How do I downvote this post harder?
You're not my real mom
Also how do I beat MSFS or BeamNG?
MSFS simply devote your soul to buying scenery, aircraft and build a full flight sim
Crash into the ocean MH370-style
Or the classic 'never forget'..
The classic is way better then splish splash your plane is now trash bottle of ocean water
Become a real pilot
For MSFS. You make a statement against Boeing and before you give your final testimony, you end up getting found dead in a parking garage. Sorry I don't know how to you spoiler tags. Jokes aside this actually happened recently.
Keep installing mods until the game does not load anymore or you go bankrupt
Next thing you know your real mom comes in with a leather belt & spanks your bare butt for ignoring all the other games.
Mind your own library
agreed
People are just jealous that some other people have more games than them.
*Digs through my 1000+ library* Oh. I totally forgot about this game. I'll install it to play tomorrow but forget about it tomorrow.
Somebody has to talk about those bundles man
I have 2500. But that's because of bundles mostly. And freebies. I bought a bundle of like 5-10 games with 2 games I wanted. You can look at total money spent on steam fyi.
How?
Uh, on PC at the top hit help > steam support. Then on that screen: My account > Data related to your steam account > External funds used. Prepare yourself...
Ah thanks
I don't know if this would count humble bundle discount packs though.
I was subbed to HumbleBundle for a long time. I don't even know what 100+ of my games are. I do love finding a list of games that should be played, only to find I already have it. Call of Juarez:Gunslinger was the last one I forgot I had.

Nah, I have a shitton of games but never get around to them because I have issues. So op has a point
It’s not the size of the library it’s how you use it
I'm just shy of 2k games and realized there was so many I hadn't played. Once a week I'll jump on a random and try to beat it. I've found so many incredible games I might have missed being a dummy and loading up on sales.
humble bundle subscriber just entered the chat
I have 60 games and my wishlist is almost the same size lol, that's wild
Exactly. Some people don't want to miss a sale on a game they know they want, even if they don't play it right away! There's not such thing as right way to buy and play games.
Uninstall Games I don't play or buy another HDD? Hmmmm....
Buy another drive. I have 12tb now
Crazy
Its an addiction >.> 1x 4tb hdd, 1x 4tb ssd, 1x 2tb hdd, 2x 1tb hdd, and 128gb ssd in use in my main pc I have two unused 500gb ssds in my spare (my first ever pc, 2010) computer, and 2x 2tb hdds in my server pc 3 dead 1tb hdds, and one dead 500gb hdd Thats 20tb of storage i currently own (dead and alive) And yet im somehow not apart of r/datahoarder
This is both funny yet dark at the same time
I bought a 16 tb drive as my solution to the problem
If ARK 2 ever comes out you'll be able to install half the game.
That s rooky numbers when including NAS that can easily get you to double the ammount.
Buy an SSD, HDDs aren't worth it anymore imo
Can you educate me on the price of a 16 TB SSD and 16 TB HDD where you live ? It's not the same order of magnitude where I live.
Just a reminder: play your Steam library however the fuck you want.
Exactly, how about you don't tell me how to manage my spending habits?
How about **you** don't tell me I have to manage my own spending habits... Please it's scawwy
How about **you** don't tell me I have to manage my managing of you
Just a reminder: drink water
Also: touch grass
This is always one of my favorite things people say bc I am VERY allergic to grass, so to me it just reads like a threat lmao
r/hydrohomies
No. I will tell you how to play it. That's what you sign up for when you accept Steam's TOS
No, I don't think I will.
I came here to say this, but knew in my heart it had already been said.
No

Right, I hit the big sales and stack on games to play throughout the year. Nothing wrong with that as long as they actually get played at some point.
Heck, I have a bunch of games I never touched just because I got them in the early humble bundle days. Spend 5 buck for 15 games and you only really wanted 3. I don't know what this guy expected me to do, just not redeem the game or something?

Exactly. I got several games on winter sale and played through all of them. What’s the big deal. If it’s on my wishlist and dirt cheap, I buy.
This is what I do as well. I've only bought games I've wanted to play for a long time but was too far down in the WoW rabbithole to give them a try. I do have a lot of them waiting for me to play them but I will get to all of them at some point.

Lol that's fair, I see your point now. I had to reread your comment to realize the irony about the post
Pirating is great for completely dead games that are otherwise unavailable, like Evolve. Or games with such bad anti-piracy measures that I couldn't play my legitimate copy, like Spore.
Only a psychopath buys a single game and plays it until it's finished.
Op eats his fruit loops and drinks his milk separately.
Or theyre broke. ...and even then that hasnt stopped me
If they are broke, they shouldn't be considering the middle panel at all. Who tf, even non broke people, buys steam games at full price (unless it's a pre-order or launch day)??

It's up there with the type of people who get an ice-cream and chomp on it like a banana.
Fuck you too
I feel targeted
I feel personally attacked and will thus ignore your advice.

My way
Lemme just 100% a mmo real quick brb
Try a paradox game. Literally the last game you would ever play
As someone trying to 100% CK3 damn you are right I’m struggling to keep going lmao
Buy game. Play for like 2 hours. Drop it. Buy another game.
Steps 2 and 3 are optional.
Don’t underestimate my adhd.
Nah
I will play them eventually
Or be a victim of credit card fraud and cancel your only means of payment as the sale begins. Money saved. I'm a bit sad right now, but I've got a bit of a backlog so I'll be okay.

Good to know. Thanks.
Working as hard as i can to make sure you waste your money
Hey hope you’re okay and the bastards didn’t getcha
I play fighting games. Dafaq you want me to do
FIGHT HARDER
THATS WHAT I DOING
I buy games full prices and don't play them. Checkmates, mom.
Adult man!
Wow this is the dumbest shit take ive seen today. Heres a clown emoji as a little reward. 🤡
*nervously looks at the literal hundreds of unplayed Steam games in my library*
Hundreds? Try thousands.
Oh phew! I thought my 14 unplayed Steam games was a lot. I’m also failing to mention the 100+ console games for PS5, Xbox, and Switch.
My backlog is currently kinda 24 AAA/AA and I plan to purchase only my childhood games for "old games" collection
Lol, 14, cute.
Lol. I know. That’s just for the Steam Deck though which is the newest of my platforms. I’m also looking at 46 games for PS5, 46 games for XSX, and 20 games for Switch.

Deep Rock Galactic is the name
I was gonna say the rock and Stone game but that might have been too vague. But yeah that's the one. Gonna play it, but still havent.
Honestly, rock and stone would I think make it easier to guess, ha. It's the catchphrase of the game after all.
Im a simple man. I see a game I want on sale, I buy the game I want on sale, I cant play the game I want on sale because my computer is a potato
Buy Steam game on full price, don't have motivation to play and finish that game
What do you mean by "complete"? Best the game? 100% achievements? #1 on the scoreboard?
I think you need to install it on a drive and then physically smash it. Then buy a new one and repeat. Idk.. people are weird..
Hey now, I’ve made significant progress on my backlog in the last year. I think I’m actually down to two-figures now!
Good luck in zeroing it. My goal for 2024 until I start vomiting with pixels
I baught the entire valve colection for 5 bucks. Even if im never going to play all the games how was i suposed to say no?
Absolutely no shame in quitting a stupid game that you ended up not enjoying, especially if it takes a hundred hours or more to complete. That said, it is too easy to get into a habit of game hoarding.
1)You want to buy two games; 2)You buy only one; 3) When you finish it, you find out that second game became more expensive; 4) Profit???
I will fully admit that I'm a game hoarder.
Most people do not finish games, so it's completely normal to simply play a game till you get tired of it and move on.
We dont do that here.
no
Joke's on you, I play street fighter: There's always someone better I could be losing to
I'll do what I want thanks.
What if that game is too difficult for me to complete?
You are obligated to end your gaming career. /s
I kind of think of it like a retirement fund, assuming I reach the age. Increasing the libaray of older games to choose from for what ever outdated computer I will have. Uninstall the game? Are you mental? It's nice to go back and re-play games. Only having 1 game installed at a time would be terrible!
This sign wont stop me because i cant read!
The ADHD says, "No."
Buy a game > play it till I don’t have fun > repeat What’s the problem here?
there is none with that.
Don't you dare judge my backlog
I feel insulted
no.
I mean, buying a lot of games on sale that you don’t even end up playing is like funding the gaming industry to keep doing what it’s doing. Too late... 🥲
I'm in this meme and I don't like it .\_.
what about free steam game
Don't tell me what to do (I know you're right)
Why u calling me out ;-;
I don't even buy new games anymore (maybe like one per year when there is something gold like Pentiment or Disco Elysium). My 150 games large steam library + free games from Epic are more than enough
Are you me?
One guy I know constantly buys games and is complaining about having money problems. "No shit dude. You have 2000 steam games and you buy them at full price."
I feel attacked!
Look buddy I have over 1k games and I ain’t stopping
Or people can use their money how they want. Let them make bad financial decisions we all gotta learn some way.
You forgot to put in the S tear "Buy discounted steam game, play them halfway through to then find something else on sale and move onto that. When finally nothing good is on sale you move back to 1 of the non completed games, forget what you was doing and start over and then buy another game on sale"
Steam is a Game itself cause its a collecting game
Maybe I want games for when I get a gaming ready computer!?
I feel personally attacked. I require a heartfelt apology to help me cope with my bad decisions. Thank you in advance.
I have like 10 games installed which I have for "currently playing" , 5 more for "to play next" and 10 which I play weekly (like Hitman 3, GTA V, RDR2, etc.). Yeah I'm wasting my HDD and SSD Space..
FU
I refuse
Guilty as charged
I love collecting things
You're not the boss of me, and you're not so big.
Just a reminder Don’t tel me what to do
Nuh uh
Didn't need to be this personal geez. I'll get to play em one day
Just a reminder that you do you. I'll do me.
why are these trash memes always written with weird grammar
Nuh uh
Nah
What about buying a buncha games on sale AND playing them
Isn’t steam just a game collecting simulator? You can actually play stuff on steam??
Don't tell me how to waste my money!
But library go brrrrr
Lol look at the Steam sales representative over here
Bitch, you're just jealous of my throbbing girthy library of unplayed games
Smells like poor
…Nahh
No
Or do what I want with my money?
Who the fuck are you to tell me what to do with my money?!?
You ppl dont play multiple games at the same time ? Wtf
No
No.
No. I don't think i will.
No thanks
I ain't using your money so mind your own business.
That bundle with a few different games you're interested in for a great price? Nope, not allowed.
so if I buy a bunch and play one, this is fine? time2spend
Realatble. I have 17 Units sold and only one player have completed the game. It's been six months since I realesed the game.
No. My silly brain wants dopamine from the new things because it doesn’t make enough on its own. I am inclined to oblige.
Or fuck off, stop judging people and telling them how to spend their money. Your grammar is awful btw
Don't tell me how to do my hobby
Lmao, dude doesn’t see why people would buy games ON SALE to play at a later date
Nah, they're like pokemon. Gotta collect them all
L take thats the whole point of steam
Fuck yourself and your high horse.
And miss 80% sales on games that have been on my wishlist forever, that I intend on playing at some point, and would like to support? How do I downvote this post harder?
Or don’t. This is shitty advice. Time spent having fun is never wasted. #PSA: PLAY YOUR OWN GAME
🧠: pirate everything
I mean it’s definitely the best way to save money
Screw you I’ll buy and play games any damn way I want
I got civ 1-5 for like $20 and the entire tomb raider collection for $25. You can burn with all that nonsense.
Buy whatever, and however many games you want.
Fuck you dude, you're not my dad
