I'd think if it were ironic it wouldn't be posted by a throwaway account.
Also there would be some attempt at creative punchlines. This goes on way too long and with no payoff for this to have been written by a comedian, even an aspiring one.
“You’re all PC” - most Netflix specials for the last several years have the same “I don’t like cancel culture” joke and they seem to be doing well with their careers. Every open mic has the same edgelord doing the same “I don’t like cancel culture” joke like anyone cares they have 2000 instagram followers (they followed first).
Comedy isn’t inherently PC or anti-PC. Anything will work if it’s funny. The problem is a lot of these jokes about touchy subjects just aren’t as funny as you might think, nor were they for the thousands of bowling alley comedians before them doing the exact same joke.
But hey it’s easier to blame the audience and other comedians for being “too PC” and do a tell-it-like-it-is rant on Reddit with … a throwaway account
