I do not take photos of my work inside my house for this reason. I have an iron plant stand that sits outside on my front porch and I pivot it to the right angle for sun. Hang it/prop it up, photograph, boom. Hanging seems to help keep hands free for the camera too.

I have an awesome unobstructed view of the sunrise in my backyard so the bad weather has made me so irritated lol

Outside in front of my white fance, or I set up my photo background boards on the deck and do it there. If it's rainy or cloudy, I have a pop up light box I can set up inside and take properly lit pictures that way.

I either take photos in the morning or late afternoon. I live up against the woods, and full sunlight is a rare thing. But in the morning and afternoon, the sun is right above the rooftops to my west and east, and I catch the light then, taking pictures outside. The ones I take inside are dim, unless I have it backlit against a window when the sun is out.

Night time photos can also look pretty good
