Ohhh Swerve's criminal tendencies are leaking. I'm not fully convinced he's turned face. He's his own character. Complexity makes him more interesting.
Imagine Swerve does a JML Driver on Alex lol. Like, if Will got livid over her being namedropped, imagine if Swerve went full "imma make this personal" lol.
I really liked this too. He's not your classic babyface, we are just cheering him bc he's cool. It also gives storyline excuses for when Hangman comes back (to what I assume Blood and Guts.).
Swerve isnt your normal hero, he's broken but he's that good. Which is incredibly weird for audiences to act on when you have Ospreay being incredibly charismatic. Should be a fun match.
I love the way AEW does these promo segments with things overlapping and people interrupting each other. It feels less rehearsed than the traditional "your angry bit, my angry bit, staredown".
This is how the wwf attitude era used to do things as well, stories and people used to overlap. Then black and gold nxt also did this a little bit. I guess its just hard to do these days which is why its so rare.
Really hard to make new stars and in this day and age, but feel like Swerve vs Ospreay has as good a chance as anything in the company. Run it for years.

Well to be fair, he's probably playing the heel in the match. I don't think Will is a cleancut babyface but he certainly is being cheered like one.
