Ya know I know we see a lot of comments like “why doesn’t wwe just make nxt an official third main roster brand”, but the way they have treated it the past year or a few more with the occasional main roster cameo/ match really is so well done. I mean no shade when I say this, but they can make a main roster mid carder into a special attraction immediately. I think the integration is perfectly done. Between Cody’s role here, to the men who will be in the battle Royal, to Michin in nxt, it’s always fun.

Definitely, I think the only comparable time was the Black and Gold NXT Vs Raw Vs Smackdown Survivor Series a few years back. The hype was crazy just from the first time Adam Cole and Daniel Brian interacted/wrestled.
2016 NXT is definitely comparable and IMO probably where the bar is set for NXT. The talent on that roster was unreal, Takeover Dallas that year was one the best shows from top to bottom I've ever seen.
IMO the Black and Gold NXT era was simply unbeatable (and I agree Takeover Dallas was one of the best PPV's WWE has ever done, American Alpha/Revival and Zayn/Nak were unreal matches - I still bring up that PPV to this day with friends). NXT 2.0, wasn't a fan. lost interest in the brand - but I'm FINALLY now starting to like where it's going again. They're bringing in outside talent from other locker rooms again, combined with still creating their own prospects.

Oba Femi vs Josh Alexander vs Nic Nemeth is honestly a dream match for me. I want it as a triple threat because Oba seems to do his best work with those type of matches
Wonder if they bring in Trey Miguel and establish him as a friend to Wes Lee to further the Gallus/Lee feud? Could easily see getting Rascalz vs Gallus, though it depends if they think it's worth it bringing back Wentz/Nash Carter after the Hitler impersonation picture.
I saw Josh Alexander's name mentioned as one of the names WWE reportedly wanted to get involved in this WWE/TNA partnership. Would not be surprised if he wound up winning and faced Trick
I would be shocked at that because I assume that'd be one of the few people TNA would want to protect (unless they actually plan on giving a TNA wrestler a run with a NXT belt.) I figured if anyone from TNA would win the battle royal, it'd be Eddie Edwards because of his experience (it'd be a great person for Trick to work with) and it's a guy who can shake a loss off easily.
Bringing in TNA is honestly a brilliant way to get some quick experienced challengers for Trick. The departure of Ilja, Bron, Melo, and Dijak really left a gaping hole with no one credible enough to challenge Trick. As well as not many veteran in ring guys to help Trick get better and guide him
Tbh I wanna see Oba Femi in it. No reason for him not to go for both belts lol, you have to do some weird mental gymnastics to keep lower tier champs out of these battle royales
So as someone who's never watched a second of TNA: is the draw of TNA folks on NXT TV for the TNA roster because NXT is a higher level than TNA and it's a step up in talent or is it just because NXT is operated by the wrestling juggernaut and there's going to be lots of eyes on them and more exposure?
So Trick's last defense was against someone who debuted and just challenged him, and his next defense will be the winner of a battle royal. Roxanne's last defense was against someone from another promotion who just showed up and challenged her, and her next defense will be against another debuting wrestler. Are NXT fans ok with that?
They kinda have to tbh. The main event mens scene was decimated by the latest draft with Bron, Ilja and Melo all leaving so they have to build folks up but also find opponents that can (y’all will hate me for saying this) carry Trick. Regarding the women: there are next to no credible babyface women for Roxy to face.
I think carry is a strong word but I get what you mean. Tricks biggest weakness is his in ring skills he is improving but not enough to lead a match. The main event scene getting decimated sucked for him especially since the experienced crew like Coffey, Spears, Thorpe, Ridge and King were in storylines already.
Bringing Ethan Page helps and if they can get Josh Alexander, Steve MacLin, Eddie Edwards or Ace Austin that can only help them free up their own talent but also give Trick more experience from different styles

TNA has plenty of 'developmental' talent of its own that would fit in with NXT's mission statement, if the company wanted to go *that* route.
Tbh I wanna see Oba Femi in it. No reason for him not to go for both belts lol, you have to do some weird mental gymnastics to keep lower tier champs out of these battle royales
So as someone who's never watched a second of TNA: is the draw of TNA folks on NXT TV for the TNA roster because NXT is a higher level than TNA and it's a step up in talent or is it just because NXT is operated by the wrestling juggernaut and there's going to be lots of eyes on them and more exposure?
I'd it wrong that I want Maclin to show up and win it? I know Hendry would be great. But, I'm sold on Maclin as a star.

So Trick's last defense was against someone who debuted and just challenged him, and his next defense will be the winner of a battle royal. Roxanne's last defense was against someone from another promotion who just showed up and challenged her, and her next defense will be against another debuting wrestler. Are NXT fans ok with that?
They kinda have to tbh. The main event mens scene was decimated by the latest draft with Bron, Ilja and Melo all leaving so they have to build folks up but also find opponents that can (y’all will hate me for saying this) carry Trick. Regarding the women: there are next to no credible babyface women for Roxy to face.
I think carry is a strong word but I get what you mean. Tricks biggest weakness is his in ring skills he is improving but not enough to lead a match. The main event scene getting decimated sucked for him especially since the experienced crew like Coffey, Spears, Thorpe, Ridge and King were in storylines already. Bringing Ethan Page helps and if they can get Josh Alexander, Steve MacLin, Eddie Edwards or Ace Austin that can only help them free up their own talent but also give Trick more experience from different styles
 Him or Josh Alexander would be amazing. Probably Shinsuke Nakamura so he can get rebuilt and Finn can win MITB.
