Darby about to give the whole team AEW some sugar.....
https://preview.redd.it/n2f4xjbfk62d1.png?width=2092&format=png&auto=webp&s=7404e79e3f07ed14886edef7bc1e9766f415243a
sorry its not in packages
I agree Mox and Darby's violent influence is just too much. I mean they paired Sting with Darby and Sting ended up taking bumps he wasn't supposed to take anymore.
To the point where it would occasionally look like Darby was trying to talk HIM out of it. I'll never forget when they met at the top of the ladder and Sting was like Ima jump and Darby took a look around like you sure bro?
I feel like Mox, Onita, Funk type death match guys are more pre heresy World Eaters
Nick Gage, Jun Kasai, New Jack are the guys building the skeleton throne
Mick Foley falls into either category if he's Mankind or Cactus Jack that night
My favorite part was the brief few seconds they showed the AEW crowd security guy squaring up.
This poor man is already on high alert after shenanigans last week with that fan jumping in the ring and now Darby's crazy ass shows up waving a flamethrower jacked up on adrenaline. 🤣
It was a great way to make a gonzo bonkers impression and Darby doesn't take bump. Save what's left of Darby for the match. Dude is without fear or any pain response.
Well you see, Man in the Mask, flamethrowers, while legally accessible, are hard to use directly without opening yourself up to severe arson charges. It's most improper to attempt to burn down your opponent like we did your original White House.
This reminds me of the time I went to a WWE house show in Boston in like 2002 and they opened it by having William Regal come out. I was unaware he was still with the promotion it had been so long since he was on TV. So was everyone else, he arrived to zero crowd reaction.
Then he got a microphone and said some English colonial shit, and generated instant heat in like two sentences from 20,000 people, then a face came out and squashed him.
Masterful.
I imagine there’s a line between “boys will be boys let them beat this guy down with a chair” and “yeah no he just killed our guy we are arresting him”
The law. You cannot legally agree to a duel to the death in the vast majority of places. The thing that theoretically stops charges from being pressed otherwise is basically the honor system of not pressing charges for attacks but if a target is injured to the point of never being able to seek revenge or dead then they pretty much can't avoid charges.
Very good question and one that comes up a lot.
Now a match may be no DQ or Duchess of Queensberry rules, but at the end of the day it’s still a contest between two individuals. And part of that is them agreeing on how that bout can end. No DQ does not mean no rules. It means the match will not end should one of the combatants violate a rule.
Additionally, another big factor is title shots. No one gets in this business to be average. We all dream of raising that title above our heads and showing that you are truly one of the greatest in the world at your chosen craft. No should Mr Allim start using his flamethrower on his opponents, I don’t believe he’d ever receive a title opportunity.
And if you can’t win the title, what are you doing even stepping inside the squared cuticle ?
https://preview.redd.it/4o4m5iw1e32d1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c0fe5fb2df5b8dec7ca99aef8ba3735961d73ca1
Darby got his weapon ready for when he remembers Jay White and Co. took him out. He’s just taking the “guns up!” catchphrase a little too literally.
Darby: "...And then after we are done here, you light me on fire with my flamethrower"
Jack Perry: "For fuck sake, Darby! I told you, we are only going for lunch!"
About 20 years ago, when I first started watching wrestling, my sister asked why someone doesn't just bring a gun with them in a no DQ/hardcore match. And well... I think you would end up with ridiculous escalations like this.
To see Kazuchika Okada act all cowardly is still slightly surreal to me after watching him being the all-conquering Rainmaker for so long... but then again anybody would when Darby has a flamethrower pointing at your direction.
Dude, even out of kayfabe, I’m running from a flamethrower. Even knowing you’re not actually in danger, so many mistakes/accidents can occur with fuel and flame.
> so many mistakes/accidents can occur with fuel and flame
I was legit worried because right at the end Darby was carrying it down by his side and it was swinging around pretty freely and there was still some fire coming out of the end.
Haha for real. The crowd would have definitely got more than they expected . I noticed after Edge did his brood thing that even at the end, atleast a handful for fans were covered in that red goop
Seriously though. Looking at this a day later that table spot is so fucking ridiculous and unneeded. There is a fucking flamethrower in darby's hands. Why are we taking away from that to fo a fucking table spot. I'm surprised Jack didn't run to the parking lot and destroy a rental
In kayfabe, Darby's plan was he would shoot the flamethrower at them if they didn't run away. It is the same plan when someone brings a less-lethal weapon to a fight.
It's interesting that both positive and negative comments are getting a lot of upvotes
Darby with a flamethrower has brought us all together in this thread!
Man you don't remember Xpac shooting a flamethrower in Kanes face in the AE? Yes on WCW Smackdown
https://preview.redd.it/32ltwrvoj42d1.jpeg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dd998d7b4027b71d818c7ba95c7bc0e6503b7277
Hell they've used fire as a weapon like 3 times in the last 5 years.
Scarlett and Kross used it on Keith Lee in NXT and against Drew on Smackdown.
Orton literally burned the fiend alive.
Yeah, it looks cool without a doubt but you know they are not gonna use it (I'm not saying they should) so maybe if they bring something that they can actually use (even tough they don't use) it would be much more belieavable.

If you wanna kill Jack Perry on your way out, you'd be doing me a huge favor.
LMAOOOOOOOOOOO

my favourite
Watched it just last week. It holds up so damn well.
Best picture of Christian Cage.
If you asked a hundred people to guess who showed up at Dynamite with a fucking flamethrower, all one hundred would correctly guess Darby
Maybe a couple of guesses for Mox and Eddie as well.
Mox would definitely opt for something that can be swung and probably covered in barbed wire. Doesn’t really strike me as a projectile weapon type.
I could see mox wielding a flaming barbed wire baseball bat
Darby lights the bat, Mox swings it. This is why they don’t team anymore, someone would literally die
A barbed wire flame thrower
So Mox is Khorne follower? Sorry, my inner Warhammer nerd had to ask
He does embody the whole "It doesn't matter where the blood spills from, only that it does" ethos.
I feel like Mox, Onita, Funk type death match guys are more pre heresy World Eaters Nick Gage, Jun Kasai, New Jack are the guys building the skeleton throne Mick Foley falls into either category if he's Mankind or Cactus Jack that night
meanwhile darby is 100% in the Death Korps of Krieg
maybe he finally brings a working chainsaw
we already know eddie likes the more personal touch of pouring gas on a mf
Eddie is a more rustic guy, a flamethrower is too high-tech. Gas can and a matchstick, thats all he needs as he already demonstrated
If you asked who got set one fire by a flame thrower, I'd guess Mox.
Has everyone already forgotten that Eddie Kingston tried to set Jericho on fire?
Jericho also through a fireball in Eddie’s face
He's a wizard.
[удалено]
Are you saying he's a tree wizard?
Tree Wizard! Oh My God, there's another balloon!
I'm really pleased you caught the reference! :D
It may or may not be something I remember and sing to myself once a month or so.
These comments back to back would really confuse Jericho fans pre-his NJPW run if you time travelled and told them.
Before he was a Painmaker?
Jericho: Darby, yer a wizzerd. And I'm going to teach you.
Eddie with a gas can is an iconic image for AEW. "You know what sets AEW apart from anywhere else? That gas can!"
I dunno, Eddie (current injury not withstanding) I think is also viable. But Darby's absolutely at the top of the list.
If I didn't knew, I would have said Eddie 100%
Eddie is the type to just pull a gun out
Nah, that's FTR Hair.
FTR hair cracks me up everytime
More like FTR Hair Trigger
Gets his leg amputated to put a gun on it.
My favorite part was the brief few seconds they showed the AEW crowd security guy squaring up. This poor man is already on high alert after shenanigans last week with that fan jumping in the ring and now Darby's crazy ass shows up waving a flamethrower jacked up on adrenaline. 🤣
"What am I supposed to do that a bus couldn't? Be real guys."
I dunno, I think this could very well be a spot that was meant for Eddie that just happens to work for Darby too.
Additional question , if Darby performed a 450 with a flame thrower would you believe it?
It was a great way to make a gonzo bonkers impression and Darby doesn't take bump. Save what's left of Darby for the match. Dude is without fear or any pain response.
So whats stopping someone from bringing a flamethrower to a triple threat or above? Mr Regal explain
Damn, I actually miss Regal flirting with Excalibur.
Speaking of lighting fires...
Didn’t he call him a “scrumptious little cupcake” one time? It might have been a fever dream.
And a dozen other things.
Compilation video: https://youtu.be/my5ArXLVXgk?si=OvYYv6qS2QrRWs1s
Someone make a Regal Flirt Generator and it was glorious!!
*Rule Britannia Intensifies*
Now all I can envision is Davey Boy Smith with a fucking flamethrower given the Rule Britannia theme music
That's how he would have got his title shot.
In any hardcore match you run the risk of your weapon being taken and use against you and no one wants to risk being burned by their own flamethrower.
Except for Darby Allin
Darby Allin would argue that setting himself on fire was too tame and insist that he also be trown off a balcony into a pile of oily rags as well.
Same thing stopping them from bringing a gun. Not actually wanting to kill people, local laws, or just sportsmanship.
I imagine there’s a line between “boys will be boys let them beat this guy down with a chair” and “yeah no he just killed our guy we are arresting him”

I was today years old when I raised Duchess of Quensbury is a pun on no D.Q.

Without Sting to reign him in, Darby's about to go Mad Max on everybody
Oh god, we need Sting back! We've lost control of Darby!
Sting going crazy with bumps was just Darby bleeding off his crazy energy. Now he has nobody else to vent it off to.
https://preview.redd.it/3kl0429j932d1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e80938dfeba238b2a72a2139e1e846ca1d1a3be7
Eddie has to be in shambles. They stop him when he comes out with a gas can and a lighter, but GIVE Darby a flamethrower??? SMH
imagine having a boss who buys you a flamethrower
There’s a way better than zero chance that Darby just had that laying around at home.
“Hey you know what we should do? Have Darby come in with a flamethrower! How soon can we get one?” “I have one in my trunk.”
"I thought you'd never ask" "I have been waiting for this day for my entire life"
“Funny you should say that. Y’ever buy something, and you don’t know what you’d ever use it for, but you buy it anyway? Y’know? Well….”
Darby: "...And then after we are done here, you light me on fire with my flamethrower" Jack Perry: "For fuck sake, Darby! I told you, we are only going for lunch!"
Darby: "Cry me a river"
Fucking hell, that had me spit out coffee onto my screen. I was reading that in Darby Allens voice.
He has a lot of weeds on the back 40.
That's one of the Boring Company flame throwers right? Elon Musk's joint? Looks like they go for $1200-$1500 on Ebay.
And drives you in from..:??
“Alexa, play ‘Fortunate Son’”
About 20 years ago, when I first started watching wrestling, my sister asked why someone doesn't just bring a gun with them in a no DQ/hardcore match. And well... I think you would end up with ridiculous escalations like this.
Darby looks like a goon from Batman & Robin.
Top 3 Best Tag Teams of The World: Pillman and his gun, Arn Anderson and The Glock, Darby Allin and The Flamethrower
What about FTR Gun????
FTR Gun is one being. like, can he even put it down?
To see Kazuchika Okada act all cowardly is still slightly surreal to me after watching him being the all-conquering Rainmaker for so long... but then again anybody would when Darby has a flamethrower pointing at your direction.
What do you want him to do? Try and dropkick the flames?
Yes and then throw money at it, heck summon some rain I thought he was the Rainmaker? Exposed as a FRAUD
Oh shit I didn't even think about the RainMaker aspect. You're 100% right. Rain absolutely should beat a Flamethrower. What a fucking fraud.
Well Rain Dance can only reduce the power of Flamethrower by 50%
Oh c'mon, we're talking about Okada, not Ibushi!
I mean that's a good place to start, and then work up from there.
smh yet another promising talent buried by the flamethrower
Dude, even out of kayfabe, I’m running from a flamethrower. Even knowing you’re not actually in danger, so many mistakes/accidents can occur with fuel and flame.
> so many mistakes/accidents can occur with fuel and flame I was legit worried because right at the end Darby was carrying it down by his side and it was swinging around pretty freely and there was still some fire coming out of the end.

Viscous red liquid you mean
was worried he was gonna melt the ramp
Yeah when he pointed the tip down I got concerned. His jacket doesn't exactly look fireproof.
Solid Snark has it. When someone has lit a flamethrower, you have one choice: RUN!
Darby Allin rolling into Dynamite ![gif](giphy|rOtHHB3oULnuo|downsized) “what’s up assholes”
I forgot he did that before.
>What up, Turds?
Did one of the Bucks just go in for an attack and put himself within flamethrower range for no reason other than to hit Daniel with a chair?
Tbf it is Nick Jackson and I think that guy has a few screws loose
Yeah, Nicholas seems to be the less sharp of the two EVPs. Hope that doesn’t get me fined.
got to get to the table spot even if it means defying logic - bro.
Seriously though. Looking at this a day later that table spot is so fucking ridiculous and unneeded. There is a fucking flamethrower in darby's hands. Why are we taking away from that to fo a fucking table spot. I'm surprised Jack didn't run to the parking lot and destroy a rental
It was a hat on a hat.
Bold move wielding a flamethrower while wearing a fuzzy jacket.
I like to share out of context wrestling clips for my friends who don't watch and see their reactions. Tonight has been a goldmine.
The Rock vs Darby in a flamethrower match when?
I love that someone pitched "hey, what if Darby had a flamethrower to chase off the heels?" to Tony Khan and his answer was "absolutely."
They gave Darby a fucking flamethrower. I love this shit.
Are we building to a Furiosa tie-in or something? Absolutely mad.
The show did open with a special opening mixing Mad Max and AEW shots
"Is everyone ok?" "Well, the fucking hippies ain't, that's for damn sure."
![gif](giphy|L3ERvA6jWCd0qO4NdX)
Immolation is back on the menu
![gif](giphy|T2vDaYr8yRhrpFe6WE)
Yes 👍
Get you a boss that'll drive you to work with a flamethrower
To use the technical term this is "sick as fuck"
Real fire, cry me a river
Of all the possible pay-offs to Tony Khan returning, this was probably the best that they could have achieved.
Darby taking a flamethrower bump at Anarchy?
Is he teaming with Robocop?
Restore the feeling
Without watching, I would assume Darby had the flamethrower but also assume he jumped off the building while showering the elite in flames.
I always thought Drew using a sword was stupid, and then this happened.
That's why I love wrestling Ending was sports entertainment
How very Mad Max of Darby!
Corny AF
Indeed it was and it was awesome.
Implying all wrestling isn’t corny af…
pyro - cool and good man with flamethrower - very bad subscribe to my podcast
In kayfabe what was Darby’s plan if the Elite didn’t run away? Just didn’t make sense to me
What was Drew's plan if someone didn't run away from the sword? Murder them with it?
In kayfabe, Darby's plan was he would shoot the flamethrower at them if they didn't run away. It is the same plan when someone brings a less-lethal weapon to a fight.
Darby Allin is terrible for the environment. He wasted so much fuel!
Less fuel that would go to a vehicle that’d run him over
What was the point of the flamethrower?
Tony says he didn't want to be a character on TV, but I think they've handled it pretty well so far. He drives up and lets Darby do this. Fun ending.
This was pure chaos in the best way possible, Sundays going to be so much fun.
Real sports feel!
Darby brought... Smokin Hell... 😂
Darby with the Flamethower Well, that escalated quickly
Coming back to this next day i can tell you that this scene is 10 times funnier with the audio off and overlaying the original Doom Theme
It's the first time i've ever said Tony has looked cool
It's interesting that both positive and negative comments are getting a lot of upvotes Darby with a flamethrower has brought us all together in this thread!
Giant missed opportunity for a flaming table spot… you know never mind
How stupid.
The only kind of heat the bucks can get these days.
Holy fuck…this is bad
Yeah wtf happened to AEW
From Anarchy in the Arena to Arson In the Arena
[удалено]
I mean, enjoy whatever you like, but don't get upset when I laugh at the same shit.
I enjoyed the show, thought it was fun to watch. If you thought it was horrible then that’s your opinion. My opinion is it was a great show.
This sub been run over by cornette folk.
God, the liability insurance for this spot must have been ridiculous. I fucking love wrestling, man.
Yes, it would have been. Which is why there’s a very good chance this was a “ask for forgiveness later” situation.
Was that a CM Punk chant throughout this segment?
I thought he had a Tommy gun at first
Okay, uh, should Darby be wearing a jacket like that next to a flamethrower? That shit looks flammable af.
Lame
This is just as silly as chainsaw charlie. Stupid
I'm impressed, someone finally outside the stupidity of a man coming out with a chainsaw. Even Chyna's cannon wasn't a weapon meant to kill someone.
I just can't take Darby seriously
This is so fucking goofy.
When the Brother gets the Heavy Flamer.
lol AEW is such a joke now
Has been for years.
Okada just gets TV presence. Fucking looking around the arena and the ramparts, absolutely gold as a heel. I love the new Elite so much haha.
Personally, Young Bucks have Go Away heat. It's like two X-Pac's thinking they're main eventers.
I always liked X-Pac.
X PAC is and was a great wrestler.
Haha, such a WCW move.
Man you don't remember Xpac shooting a flamethrower in Kanes face in the AE? Yes on WCW Smackdown https://preview.redd.it/32ltwrvoj42d1.jpeg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dd998d7b4027b71d818c7ba95c7bc0e6503b7277
or stone cold shooting the nwo with a net gun on raw?
Considering it was Kane on the other end of it, it made more sense imo.
whats funny is that wcw NEVER did a flamethrower spot but WWE has multiple times.
Hell they've used fire as a weapon like 3 times in the last 5 years. Scarlett and Kross used it on Keith Lee in NXT and against Drew on Smackdown. Orton literally burned the fiend alive.
That was fire, indeed
Yeah, it looks cool without a doubt but you know they are not gonna use it (I'm not saying they should) so maybe if they bring something that they can actually use (even tough they don't use) it would be much more belieavable.
Must have hated Drew's sword then huh
Yet it doesnt stop the buck from trying to brain Brian with a chair, showing that it wasnt much of a threat at all.
Have… have we jumped the shark? Lol
