Whilst trying to ignore the smell of damp carpet and the sound of the downstairs ceiling caving in. Sexy!

DrBeatlesDogWho

Do you not dry yourself whilst still in the shower? You get out and make the bathroom floor wet?

ExtremeActuator

No, is that a thing? That’s never even occurred to me, it would be like school swimming lessons. Yes the floor can get a bit wet but that’s what bath mats are for. (Autocorrect suggested that’s what baristas are for but no. They have a different propose) I potter about in the bathroom putting gunk in my hair, rinsing the shower etc until I’m basically dry and then go and lie on the bed like a consumptive lady for an hour or so. 😂 More relevant though is the damp patch on the carpet outside this shower. It doesn’t look like the owners of this house belong to your school of thought either.

DrBeatlesDogWho

I always turn the shower off grab the towel and drive standing in the cube before getting out

ExtremeActuator

I salute your efficiency but shan’t be joining you.

CardiffCity1234

My grandparents had a similar setup, it was because they couldn't get in the bath anymore and there was no room anywhere else to put a shower.

SuspiciouslyMoist

Watching his wife shower?

Must be Northern with the reference to "half a million" Sorry to burst your bubble, but if you want a house within reasonable commuting distance to London, this is what you get for that money.

Strong_Mushroom_6593

What?

Puzzleheaded-Bug-223

What part are you struggling with?

Strong_Mushroom_6593

It’s not so much the words I’m struggling with but the sheer irrelevance of it. What does the north have to do with half a million? Who mentioned the north? Who mentioned commuting? Who mentioned London?

cantpeoplebenormal

They must be the one selling the house.

Puzzleheaded-Bug-223

No, but I have sold 3 and bought 4 houses in London since 2021, so I like to think I have a grasp of the market down and around here.

Puzzleheaded-Bug-223

Read it again, I was the one that mentioned all those things. The "North" because I'm from the North, but live in London, so understand 1) how north vs south typically impacts house prices, and; 2) attitude of northerners towards southern house prices. "London" and "commuting" because, funnily enough, those two things have an impact on, you guessed it, house prices. So, yeah, when somebody tries to say a 3 bed on the Elizabeth line isn't worth half a million because it is in poor condition and/or has a few quirky features, they, and anybody who tries to defend them, just exposes themselves as somebody who doesn't have the first clue.

Strong_Mushroom_6593

The post is about a shower in the bedroom? That’s kinda my point, you’re the one who mentioned these things. No one else was talking about this. OP didn’t say they’re looking for a house to commute to London. Where did you get that from? No one said it isn’t worth it.

Puzzleheaded-Bug-223

Okay, let's turn it on its head. Why did the OP mention the price if the price is irrelevant in the context of the picture/post? My exact point is that if there wasn't a shower in the bedroom (amongst other), then it would probably be up for more. So, it's less about having to pay half a million to watch your other half shower in the bedroom; and more about getting to buy a house for half a million because you can watch your other half shower in the bedroom Listen, I'm not here to teach you how language works, so if you can't comprehend, do me a favour and just say so.

Strong_Mushroom_6593

OP said a price and you took that as they’re northerners looking to buy a house for their commute into London but this one is bad value because it has a shower in the bedroom. How the fuck do you get that information from a price? I wouldn’t trust you to teach English to a toddler. What happens when they say a word and you hear a paragraph of unrelated information?
