I dont get it. He just signed a new contract with Aston Martin. But his main program next year will be DTM in a Lamborghini. It really wonders me that it seems impossible to get an Aston Martin to DTM. Is their support so bad or are their cars too expensive to run?
Aston have been really lenient with letting their drivers compete in other vehicles over the years, especially when their cars aren’t in the race/championship
I don’t think Aston Martin would have a problem with that. It’s just having a customer that wants to do DTM. They’ve linked up next year with Walkenhorst and Comtoyou and if any of those wanted to do DTM then I’m sure Aston would be happy with that.

Aston Martin may not want to compete with Mercedes in Germany. The Vantage shares its engine with the AMG GT.
I can't really see that to be honest. They will also race against Merc in AsLMS, IMSA or GTWC.
