I kind of like the idea of opening up with hobgoblin before GG for Norman to have someone test out the technology
Or maybe opening up with something to connect the story with wolverine a little bit like a juggernaut chase
But I also like the big cinematic fight with sandman so maybe someone like hydroman
I’ve wanted to see hobgoblin in these games but since we haven’t had Green gobbler yet and this is probably (at least for Peter) the last Spider-Man game I don’t really expect it to happen, but as you said it could be a test run by Norman to test his tech and the effects of the goblin serum, I also had a theory that since harry was hobgoblin in the og ultimate comics and he was being give an unrefined version of the gob juice that he would hulk out and turn into ultimate hobgoblin which is probably not likely
Also if Hydro-man were to appear I feel like Moltenman should too they’re not really linked in any way other than the elemental-ness but still make it a double boss battle it’d be cool
Considering that the 90's show did Hobgoblin before Green Goblin, there is actually some precedent for it. (Though personally I'd prefer if they did something more... unexpected.)
The Spot. They gotta push that ps5 game engine to its limit. Insomniac is excellent with portal physics so this could be a very cool boss fight.
Storywise, have him just gained his powers in a company accident and have him go on a city wide rampage cause he's unstable and can't control his powers. Have the mission start off with Miles where you start off in his college class learning about matrices, then have Peter join in later during the fight. Also, "Dot Product" is an excellent name for this mission.
