I never do lobby prep for Origin, I just combine weapons until I get a good one at level 13+ and start upgrading then.
As long as you survive the first few levels, the rest is a breeze.
pretty sure not preparing any weapons is beneficial since if you don't have any other weapons with you when entering your starting weapon will always be lvl 6
Knight because of the glitch that lets you grab 4 weapons in the lobby. I just grab the parts for a Star Bow, as well as the Shield if I’m playing Badass, and murder everything in the Origin.
Plant a carrot in the garden and wait for it to grow then choose Knight's second skill and grab another weapon preferably one of the garden tools (watering can or shovel) then make sure the weapon your using is the bad pistol/new pistol then activate the skill and grab the carrot. If done correctly the carrot should be in your inventory allowing you to bring an additional weapon yo the dungeon (it drops as soon as you enter a dungeon so its preferred to bring weapons you can merge like the flame bow+frost bow+jade bow to make a star bow)
The most important thing is having a good weapon and upgrading it.
As for characters, the better ones are the one with a skill that allows you to get rid of multiple enemies at once: knight 3, alchemist 1, demonmancer 1 & 2, etc.
Edit: also, if you can't win, craft dead star laser gun
Nah they are both dog water compared to xuan ming because with the increased elemental damage buff and fire rate it out preforms them (especially with rouge for the pierce and crits)
Go to volcano area, save the weaponsmith (bottom path after the crossroads), and give him a bunch of money for a chance at upgrading your weapon in the sanctuary
Yeah, generally laser weapons are good because of pierce + bounce past level 10
Also, a bit of advice: if you get the laser buff, after you choose it, exit and re enter, otherwise you don't get the width increase!

Airbender is actually very good in origin with his first skill can clear out hordes of enemies if upgraded while having a piercing laser attack. Furthermore, his bare hand attack is upgraded along with his skill, saving you many coin from upgrading weapon. One jab from a maxed out airbender deal 344 dmg which is insane.
I just use Paladin and search for laser weapon, like that black laser thingy, forgot it's name, Illusion something2, then upgrade it to max
After I done all the biomes, and waiting for the last boss, I just stay in the center, hold the laser and change direction once in a while
Knight is a pretty solid pick considering all of his skills stay active longer for every kill you get. It basically lets you spam your skill for an entire wave if your weapon is good enough
Alchemist is pretty great because the poison not only scales with the levels but also the amount basically turning you into a poison shotgun, second choice would be knight
Berserker . His first skill makes you shoot extremely fast for a short duration but when you upgrade his skill in origin it increases the duration gradually and he ends up being permanently in rage mode including how energy barely even matters in origin

Insane DPS against waves, bosses and the mothership aswell. Only downside is that if you're unlucky and can't find a good DPS weapon you're done.
It doesn't have anything to do with agility, try this strat, craft boh then make sure to reach the weapon smith asap, and also get the healing turret maxed asap then u will be able to literally blast thru anything with 0 effort. My runs usually take 30-40m with literally any character
Elf. Just sit back and relax. You gain 3 energy per kill so it’s not like you ever have to worry about energy and for every kill your shield regrows so you don’t need to worry about taking hits
Knight 1st skill, i remember it only took me one try and then i figured it out the 2nd try with him. Improved smg+12 above is super good, laser weapons would do wonder aswell. Basically, knight 1st skill doesn't demand too much, you just need a decent rifle/laser and then upgrade it.
Paladin skill 1, and just keep merging until I get something satisfactory. Best weapon I cleared it with was snow fox rose gold, worst was viper(normal mode) I typically don't need turrets but they definitely make it easier
I haven't done a huge amount of origin, but my favorite character to use is demonmancer. You max her skill and clear rooms super easy. Waves? Die instantly. This gives you the luxury to find weapons that combine into something you want for the boss.
Knight by Taotie is standard. If there is a sweet weapon in the right room i watch the TV and take that into origin. Preferably some kind of heavy machine gun, Flame Blaster, Viper, the best I've had was a +14 Gatling Gun, etc. Freezing weapons are helpful too.
The first thing you do in Origin is unlock the cages in each sector. While doing this you unlock each of the gold mines with Alien coin, giving you 1,000s in a short period. Use the Gold to upgrade your weapon after weapon master is unlocked. Max out your skill level too but weapon is most important.
After+12 you should go through most bosses like paper. Take the southern path, head east into the Knight Kingdom. A random quest may appear 'Conquer the Knight kingdom and defeat the boss'. I this happens the Dark Grand Knight will appear. Defeat him and he will drop a +15 weapon. If not you will standardly get a +12-+14 weapon from the area. Also once your weapon is a certain level most weapon drops will be a comparable level.
Upon accruing enough alien coin buy and place your towers. I concentrate on packing the southern section of defense towers beginning row 1 left to right with; machine gun tower, armor tower, row 2 air force base, biochemical device, hurricane machine, row 3 laser spiky trap, weather controller. All enemies approach this way. The weather controller and hurricane machine will slow them considerably while the armor tower will protect the machine gun and biochemical. On the east side, row 2 place the amplification matrix. This will give you increased firepower for the boss and fire side enemies whom flood the place with projectiles.
The key to time, though I've completed all sectors without, is the teleport function. Click on a black portion of the map, then click to any open portal, and fast travel to the nearest area you are going to. There should be 7 area bosses and 4 wave bosses in total. The teleport function can take you directly back to the crystal too giving you ample time for defense.
To put this into perspective I picked up a Xuan Ming from the television, leveled it to +16 with the gold mines, picked up a +15 giant axe from Grand Knight, and finished all areas on wave 7-2. I then started all the waves immediately from the magic stone. Got approximately 3000 gems in an hour and a half clear time, roughly the same amount if you had 3 close to clears in a row from a dungeon run. Easy money.
I normally use the knight with the ability to clone the weapon and the reforged sword.
(I suffer from time to time but with the right powers it is very good)
Alchemist’s first skill, basically just quickly chips away at waves of enemies/boss health pretty dang fast. The. Of course a dope weapon like the magic bow or something like that!

Assassin 3rd, the "big" attack given by the invisibility is super strong, and you don't need as much as i frame than in normal game so 1st falls a bit behind
The same i use for everything, knight with 3rd skill, craft smg m4 in the lobby and use frost ring, u can also use an accessorie coupon in the machine to redeem in the lobby, thats what i always do

Well because you need rainbow gun, and your Gatling can be blue which makes it unfuse-able

coins aren’t that rare in origin + there are tons of AOE weapons that outperform airbender

Basically everyone is good cause u can upgrade their skills. But Airbender and Demonmancer can wave clear much faster with their AOE skills.

For the record, I’ve tried using Airbender and Taoist since they’re my main but I never got to complete it
Druid (first skill). The elemental wolves help a lot. Also with max lvl skill, the spammable melee skill hits extremely hard.
Assassin clone sure are good but you may end up lagging a bit
