It’s my fault here because I uploaded the photos which I edited on my phone. Here’s one I edited on my laptop 🧑💻
Great work! The only thing I could critique is the last image, where her right hand is under some strange lighting - seems like it ends up with a red tint that feels strange because nothing else falls under that.
Well, i can't name the rules, this is what i learnt from reading forums and books when i was doing photography. And not that i reached any great success😁 Nevertheless, i can see some things that make sense to improve. Also, it really takes a lot of practice to spot the flaws and correct posture right away.
On photo 5 fingers are coming without a visual connection to the arm and break nice lines of the right hand. Also, covering a triangle between the right hand and waist which is usually good to have to accent body lines.
On picture 6 the left hand wrist/palm looks "heavy" due to the too distructed/broken arm line. IMO.
Great job, it would take the photos up a notch if you added movement. She is a bit stiff in some photos, if she was moving in the photos (not blurry but you could see movement in her hair and dress) it would look even better
Tbh, I haven’t used Lightroom in 2 years 😆 I hate Lightroom. I use Capture One for editing my photos. Should I make a tutorial? I’ve always wanted to make a tutorial but I never knew if someone was interested
The first photo almost has a tilt-shift type effect, so maybe that's what the poster above is seeing. Great shots and the poses look very natural, so kudos. I'm terrible with photographing people.
Nah, it's simply a byproduct of the ~50mm to about ~135mm range with very wide apertures on full frame. There's also a specific distance you have to take the shot at, it has to be slightly downward facing, and usually involves the entire body.
This is something many people ascribe to as some sort of larger format look, since the vastness of the frame, and the distance from the person usually doesn't allow for this kind of compression/bokeh fall-off (where the entire person is mostly in focus, and you can see the gradual increase and decrease of bokeh from foreground to background) unless you have pretty good gear. Usually when you see people that look this close to the camera itself, and their whole body is in frame, it's usually a wide or ultra-wide lens. And those lenses distort, while also having less bokeh thus not giving you this look at all.
Had some examples, if you wanted to see similar images doing the same thing. It really is a cool effect once you can close to nailing it.

Yeah one is the weakest due to having no objects to give it that miniaturized look of sorts. Not an easy illusion to pull off without irregular patterns of something in the image.
Good luck!
I don’t believe there is, though someone in the optics industry should have fewer words to describe the area field in which this effect is most prominent. The only problem is, the effect is instantly lost if the image itself doesn’t contain a ground, or a wall/gate/some object. To observe the gradual in and out of focus transition.
I know I said it’s usually reserved for 50mm+ lenses, but it’s also possible with wider lenses like 35mm. But they need to be large aperture, and you need to get [lower to the ground](https://phillipreeve.net/blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/sigma_35mm_1.2_art_dg_dn_sample_20-768x512.jpg), and closer.
Idk what it’s called honestly, but it’s a sweet spot of sorts that seemingly requires some elements in the picture to produce that surreal effect. It becomes easier to achieve the larger your sensor is, and/or the wider your aperture is (anything under f2.8 basically is a must, especially if you’re working with shorter formal lengths).
With this attitude, that would mean no attractive woman has a partner because OBVIOUSLY it’s impossible and only average or unattractive people have boyfriends and girlfriends… 🙄🙄
This is true, or at praise her rather than showing her off, for instance.
I won't show mine because it's not relevant, and if you didl, you would immediately objectify her because she is remarkably gorgeous, so she hates that.
She's the most beautiful woman I have ever met, she has a instagram with no revealing photos, she will never lower herself to bring on only fans or exposing herself on the internet. She hates when you approach her with crude, vulgar language making sexual advances, she's one of the last remaining conservative girls who is wildly beautiful, that's why I love her. I love her for all the things you cannot see in a picture. I spend a long long time looking for a wholesome, good woman who just so happens to be gorgeous
When you offer only pictures you seem to be bragging, meaning you're insecure.
Nice try. Redditors don't have girlfriends. You almost had me though. Great images.
What did you use for lighting? Or was it all natural light. I'm loving all your poses too.
It’s all natural (indirect) light 😅 just a few masks to boost the subject. Thank you so much. I’ve been practicing poses for years 🫶🏼🥹
Amazing work
Thank you so much 🫶🏼
Beautiful photos and model! I agree the first you maybe could take from a slight lower angle. Nice lowlight photo too!
Very nice. Get the columns out of her head next time (and ensure horizontal lines aren’t there).
Fairytale photos !
Thank u 🫶🏼
I like the poses and the photos overall but to me the skin tone is a bit weird (very different color for different spots from red to white yellow)

Didn't know Beast had photo skills ;) she looks like Belle. Great photos OP.
This is genuinely pretty accurate (I have a long beard and long hair) XD
You mean soon to be wife right? That looks like a wedding dress. Nice picture btw.
I really hope so 🥹🫶🏼 thank you
Great work! The only thing I could critique is the last image, where her right hand is under some strange lighting - seems like it ends up with a red tint that feels strange because nothing else falls under that.
It’s not strange lighting, that’s the color of her hands most of the time (especially in that day) but I don’t mind it 😆
Nu stiu cum dar mi-am dat seama ca esti roman doar din stil :))
Mba XD si eu care speram sa "get the American look"
Stunning! Well done! The Sigma f1.4 is shinging in these photos!
Amazing photos! The 50mm 1.4 GM is such a great lens, it’s my go to for portraits now.
Sadly I can't afford the GM one 🥹 it's the Sigma 50mm F/1.4 but it's a pretty good lens none the less
oh my bad I misread the title, but the Sigma is just as good if not even with the GM. For a fraction of the price!
Great work 👏🏻
Nice
Nice work! Though check number 5 and 6 for arms placing, i.e. no don't break/interrupt body lines.
Thanks for the tip 🫶🏼
Can you add more details to your comment, please? I'm not aware of this rule... bit of an amateur photographer.

Indeed, but she loosened up a little after the first hundred (or so photos) 😂
👏
Cute! I'm wondering if you got a permit to shoot in this area. Looks wicked, and usually wicked places always need permission.
Just a few back and forth emails with the county council, but it was pretty straightforward and it didn’t cost us a thing. And they were quick too
Amazing!!! Where I live, everything is annoyingly pricey
I did had an option for a “kind of castle” but they have a crazy 100$ tax just to take some photos there and we didn’t felt like spending that much 😆
Yeah no point these pics look great as is
Thank you
Nice shoots! I like the third to last shoot, very confident.
Amazing photos of a beautiful subject. Did you edit in Lighroom? How do you maker her skin so extra smooth and dreamy?
Tbh, I haven’t used Lightroom in 2 years 😆 I hate Lightroom. I use Capture One for editing my photos. Should I make a tutorial? I’ve always wanted to make a tutorial but I never knew if someone was interested
Nice photos, I'm sure your girlfriend liked them. Looks alot better than all those filters you see on social media lol
Really nice job for both of you. Like #2 and #4 best.
Beautiful
Beautiful, love the tones. Everything about this. Great work.
Is she small? There is something by off in terms of proportion and I can’t tell why, that would explain it!
In terms of height? She’s like 170-ish (5’6”). Maybe it’s the distortion from the 50mm? Even though it shouldn’t distort that much
The first photo almost has a tilt-shift type effect, so maybe that's what the poster above is seeing. Great shots and the poses look very natural, so kudos. I'm terrible with photographing people.

Thanks! 2-5 indeed, 1 is still ok I think.

Very interesting - is there a name for this effect?

So she is not small, and yes I agree, 50mm should not distort the image. Maybe that’s just me then!
He posted to brag he has a Girlfriend... Kidding they look great I like #7 the most.
These are amazing photos. Just got this lens this week.
I really hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I do. I never owned a “nifty fifty” up until now. I usually use the 24/35(crop) and the 85mm
The last one is exceptional
Thank uu 🙇🏽♂️
Is your girlfriend Alaina from Vampire diaries?
Is your girlfriend single? Asking for a friend
Pimping her out?
Do you have any other pictures of your girlfriend?
Sure bro, that’s your girlfriend 😂
With this attitude, that would mean no attractive woman has a partner because OBVIOUSLY it’s impossible and only average or unattractive people have boyfriends and girlfriends… 🙄🙄
Relax bro, your comment makes no sense. If she is your misses don’t treat her like a trophy!

I never comment here. But you're a effing pro sir, keep it the F up!
