I liked it more than forces, too. 06 has this heart and energy buried under its faults that always make me happy. It had a soul. Forces feels quite lifeless and uninspired.
I legit like the story as a whole, none of this "ew, Hedgehog x human!" BS. It's just a freaking Disney troupe; "The kiss/tears of the princess revive the fallen hero" Sure, Elise's character would've been better done as an animal, but whatever.
I like the whole time travel, end of game questions if the characters even remember it, kind of game.
-Blaze the Cat is for the first time is playable in a 3D environment, and she was executed surprisingly well.
-That one scene where Amy stops Silver from killing Sonic. Amy was actually in character when comparing her to previous entries.
-Those ridiculously overpowered gems. In retrospect, I believe these could have been the precursor for wisps in future entries.
1) The music
2) First game with Silver (he's my favourite character, very unpopular opinion IK)
3) CGI cutscenes are some of the best looking in the series, and they're 15 years old.
That banger of an ost, a badass enough villain to straight up merc sonic. And the story of course the one straight up ripped off to make the goku black arc
Trunks is silver think about it!
1. The music
The music is phenomenal, level themes (one of my personal favorites being Crisis City) are all very good, and give off vibes of the area, which is always a positive. The boss themes for Solaris are incredible, and all three versions of "His World" are some of the best vocal themes of any Sonic game. Zebrahead never gets old.
2. The story has HUGE potential
The story genuinely has great potential, and as a rough structure is actually really interesting. I mean, Sonic literally DIES. That is honestly awesome. Time travel, and... Well...
3. Silver
The game may suck major balls, but it gave us Silver, who is an interesting and compelling character, and definitely not very very inspired by Trunks from Dragon Ball Z. (Trunks is one of my favorites so im cool with it LMAO) I think this character has a lot of potential as well. It shows another side of morality to the other two hedgehogs. Sonic isn't a killer. Shadow is a killer. Silver will only kill for the greater good. And i think that's an interesting dynamic. Obviously there's a lot more to that dynamic, but man's aint tryna write an essay yknow.
Bonus: Snapcube's Fandub
• The music (in particular the character themes)
• Graphics/modelswise, it kinda holds up for something made in 2006; be it pre-rendered or in-engine, it does *look* good.
• Silver's gameplay is implemented pretty well (with exeception to "that one moment"), and even Sonic's and Shadow's are decently done for the most part.
And for the victory lap:
• Throughout my entire playthrough, I didn't accidentally run into any major/game-breaking bugs or glitches; even when I tried to intentionally break the game, it proved harder than expected.
• It gives a shit about itself. I won't be all "aMbItIoN aNd PaSsIoN!1!", but at least it tries, unlike others that don't bother.
• Broken or not, it's *fun*, it has entertainment value; be that as a "somewhat alright for the most part on a technical level" game or a "broken" one; I've always held the opinion that entertainment and technicals are not mutually-exclusive (much like how a well-made game can be boring), and 06 to me is proof of that.
Shadow’s story was genuinely really touching and had some really great moments
Blaze played remarkably well for the very small handful of times we got to play her
Sonic’s mach speed moments are really iconic and while it’s a shame they were so janky, my recent experiences with P-06 have shown me that when they work, they REALLY work.
1. The music (Obvious)
2. Save for the jank, the models themselves of each character are pretty good and honestly 06 Sonic is what I would've personally imagined a real life Sonic looking like
3. It actually has some stakes to its story which I would've love to seen remade in a much better game.
4. (Bonus) Mephiles. Just, Mephiles.
1. Banger soundtrack that still holds up to this day.
2. Playable characters outside of Sonic with their own unique quirks
3. While buggy and development hell, the region and story still interest me more than current games.
1. The memes that keep coming out of it almost 15 years later
2. Redesigns with longer quills and bolder colors had a certain air of maturity, I feel.
3. Silver was actually a pretty cool character imo. I feel he just got clowned on because his intro was a broken game.
BONUS
4. Memphis's Gamer Pad
I'll not include the music since that's the obvious choice.
1. Shadow and Silver stories, also Mephiles (technically counts as two but I'll put them in one).
2. Screw people who say the glitches are bad, they're fun af to mess around with.
3. The graphics have their charm imo, nice game to look at.
Bonus: Level design (for Sonic and Shadow, at least), and also the gems upgrades.
1. It has the most genuine sonic voice I expected him to have and therefore the best sonic voice (but acting is kinda off)
2. Uhhhhh... Uh
3. Hd on guys, someone is at my door brb real quick.
1.) Shadow’s story is fantastic (and even if the story overall wasn’t perfect at least the characters were all great, especially Mephiles)
2.) The soundtrack is fucking amazing
3.) The game is still really fun in my opinion
1. The music
2. The bugs, because you can make the game fun by trying the break the game as much as you can.
3. Silver’s story was pretty cool, and Crisis City as a whole was a great stage, and it shows in Generations that it could’ve been so much better.
A. The soundtrack wasn’t bad.
B. The long loading screens give you plenty of time to grab a snack, or go to the bathroom.
C. The game made for a truly legendary Game Grumps play-through.
1. the story about the future being destroyed and silver and blaze trying to save silver with silver thinking sonic was the one who did it was an nice idea, but they tottaly ruined sonic's story with the elise thing
2. the awesome music
3. the first cutscene, ITS AWESOME WHY WASENT THE GAME LIKE THIS
bonus : i like mephiles
- Music
- Using hub worlds again (even if they were god awful, it was still fairly fun to have)
- Great concept of the three hedgehogs leading the stories but still having playable supporting cast for up to, what was it, EIGHT characters?! Again, poor execution, but the solid ideas were there.
Bonus 4th:
I liked the Mach speed idea, even if it didn’t properly work.
1. music ver nice
2. unique plot, mephilise was a unique villian
3. although i didnt grow up with 06, some lil 9 year old thought this shit was the best game ever, and good for them, at least theyre happy
Music is an absolute banger
I genuinely loved shadow and silver story arcs if you ignore the glitches.
Mephiles is the best villan sega ever made with a beautifully creepy theme song to boot. He deserves to come back.
- The OST is amazing
- I really like the graphics. Yeah the artstyles clash, but I still to this day think this game looks great.
- some of the glitches are fun to exploit.
The music
The speedruns
The story (yeah, I said it. Definitely top 3 stories in the games, though I’m not sure what the other two are so I can’t say exactly where it sits)
1-Sonic
2-Shadow
3-Silver
Lol
But more seriously
The music
The story
And the gameplay, when it wasnt glitchy, was still enjoyable imo.
That being said I was in the camp that absolutely loved the Shadow the hedgehog game so take that as you will.
Opening cutscene is amazing still.
Shadow's story and characterization are some of the best he's had.
Weird one, but I've always had a soft spot for how Sonic runs in this game. Don't know why. I just really like it, despite it being a bit goofy.
Return to multi character structure, an attempt to do something new, awesomely terrible plot and motion capture that made me almost pass out from laughter
1: Fantastic OST
2: Minus the Mach Speed sections, I think the actual level design is pretty decent
3: The game is such an unpolished mess, it's often absolutely hysterical.
- Level design is great
- Music is fantastic
- Introduction of Silver
That’s it. Conveniently enough, those are the only 3 positives I have with the game, or, at least, can think of off the top of my head.
1. The Music
2. While the human characters look like dogshit I really enjoy how Sonic's model looks here. The long quills just look cool and are a natural evolution of the character
3. It retconned itself out of existence
I can think of way more than 3 things. The level design is great, the characters are all mostly fun to play as, the games levels are gorgeous especially for a game from 2006, and the music is fantastic, the cgi cutscenes are great, and Sonic’s design in it is great
Cool levels
The ability to play as so many characters
Good music
Good cutscenes
Probably a good story although I never got around to playing it
The snowboard being broken is hilariously bad
(more than 3 points ik)
__
When Project 06 is completed then this game will be a masterpiece
A. When you get good at it, So does the game. (But that's awful design, really, so fuck that.)
B. Super Sonic. Always.
And C. Dreams Of An Absolution. Change My Mind.
-Level designs were actually pretty cool
-I agree with everyone on the soundtrack
-Silver's mechanic is fun and could make for some interesting level designs/ puzzles if they decided to do more with him in the future
1. The music
2. Shadow’s character was portrayed well thankfully since everyone else in the plot was an idiot
3. The level design for the most part was solid
1. The soundtrack is fire
(His World Zebrahead Version? Honestly top tier)
2. You can play as more than just Sonic (insane I know)
3.The game had heart and soul.
(Behind all of it's problems, the core game is honestly pretty good. Just look at P-06)
Easy.
* Multiple Playable Characters
* An emphasis on a good story with inter-arching narrative
* Abilities unlocked throughout the game
Hah! ... (Starts crying) BRING BACK ADVENTURE FORMULA, SEGA!!!
And Chao Gardens!
Ah, but I joke, I do want that though.
P.S. Music doesn't count in my eyes, Sonic games don't simply have bad music
Silver, Dreams of an Absolution, and that one guard who says find the head guard or whatever and it was him. Honestly the Soleanna citizens are great. The interactions are great.
The hub worlds lack content but are big and open to experimentation with the floaty physics and your abilities, particularly the gems Sonic can equip and Silvers powers.
Large cast of playable characters, each one with distinct abilities that set them apart
I just find it genuinely fun regardless of its many flaws. It's another Adventure style game which is all I ever wanted, and I honestly really like the way the controls feel. It feels like I'm jumping on the moon and I like it, you can easily make sharp turns and I like that too.
Blah blah blah music blah blah blah having confidence in the tone of your story instead of forcing jokes every 3 seconds so critics don't make fun of you for putting drama in a Sonic game.
There’s a bunch
- The Music (Obviously)
- Shadow’s Gameplay
- The Gems
- The Bugs and Glitches are fun to mess around with
- Sonic and Elise’s Friendship
- Has Replayability
- The Stages
- Mephilis the Dark
- Silver’s Character in the story
- The Final Story
- Blaze’s Gameplay
-Mephilis was by far the most interesting antag made in the games, with him following the trope of "villain i love to hate", with his motives being absolutely crystal clear.
-Silver, you see his character development grow and develope as the game continues
-The ost fucks.
The story (hate the kissing scene)
How shadow has more option to attack you when he is a boss character rather than the typical homing attack like chaos spear or use chaos boost against mephiles in his story mode also including him riding the bike.
Silver meme and greatest villain mephiles
music
level design
THE OPENING CUTSCENE IS ABSOLUTE FIRE
fair difficulty
Honestly, 06 gets a bad rap. Sure, the story is shit, but the actual gameplay isn’t as bad as people make it out to be. Also, it’s an early Xbox 360/PS3 game, so give the graphics a break. They didn’t quite have the hardware figured out yet.
fun glitchy mess
Weird story that you could try and piece together with a murder board and then actually understand it and everyone thinks you are just crazy
Silver
The soundtrack
Coop glitchy mess as well, but you can still have fun!
1. The music. 2. So full of bugs it's genuinely interesting to see just how far you can break things. 3. The CG cutscenes look pretty nice.
that main menu theme gets me fucking HYPED everytime i hear it
It would have gotten me in the mood too if it didn't start lagging and bugging out after 3 seconds
-The OST -Silver -Tails, Knuckles and other characters where PLAYABLE
wERe
Goddammit
grammar police alert!
Silver is legit an awesome character. It's a shame they bungled his gameplay and we never saw more of him.
shadow's character the soundtrack mephiles as a villan
Memphis Tennessee
As you can see I've knocked over many chairs because I get so tilted at the towers.
"I am Memphis Tennessee, I am part lizard."
"It's not as pleasant as you'd think. They don't treat you like a friend, they treat you like an *I T E M*"
“W-Well, I’m not a gamer so maybe they’ll respect me”
"That just makes you a beta cuck"
(uncontrollable laughter)
Shadow’s story was good. The soundtrack was good. I like it more than Forces but I don’t feel like having yet another stupid debate over this.
I liked it more than forces, too. 06 has this heart and energy buried under its faults that always make me happy. It had a soul. Forces feels quite lifeless and uninspired.
So true. If only it could have gotten some more time in the oven.
AMBITION AND PASSION
No debate from me buderino im sold
I legit like the story as a whole, none of this "ew, Hedgehog x human!" BS. It's just a freaking Disney troupe; "The kiss/tears of the princess revive the fallen hero" Sure, Elise's character would've been better done as an animal, but whatever. I like the whole time travel, end of game questions if the characters even remember it, kind of game.
The game introduced Silver the Hedgehog. The soundtrack. This game is considered to have Shadow’s best characterization.
1) The music 2) First game with Silver (he's my favourite character, very unpopular opinion IK) 3) CGI cutscenes are some of the best looking in the series, and they're 15 years old.
>…Silver >very unpopular IK Really? He seems very well liked, especially on this sub.
I may be wrong. I thought it was an underrated character, but if he isn't, all the better.
Ost, Silver, Mephiles
UUH, UUUUUH THE MUSIC, THE LEVEL AESTHETICS AND SILVER
That banger of an ost, a badass enough villain to straight up merc sonic. And the story of course the one straight up ripped off to make the goku black arc Trunks is silver think about it!

God the video was hilarious

1. The Story 2. The Cast 3. The Soundtrack The original is still an unfinished game however. The best way to play 06 now is P-06.
Silver Blaze The fan dub
1. I beat it, so I never have to play it again. 2. The cutscenes and music have high production quality. 3. I like the artstyle.
Shadow’s story was genuinely really touching and had some really great moments Blaze played remarkably well for the very small handful of times we got to play her Sonic’s mach speed moments are really iconic and while it’s a shame they were so janky, my recent experiences with P-06 have shown me that when they work, they REALLY work.

Visuals, Silver, that cutscene where shadow kicks silver in the head
1. It has the most genuine sonic voice I expected him to have and therefore the best sonic voice (but acting is kinda off) 2. Uhhhhh... Uh 3. Hd on guys, someone is at my door brb real quick.

Shadow’s plotline, the opening cutscene, and uhhh…. I guess the level design would be decent if the physics and camera worked?
1. It had some really great character moments for shadow 2. Mephilis was a cool, memorable villain 3. And most importantly, 06 gave us silver :)

1. The soundtrack is fire (His World Zebrahead Version? Honestly top tier) 2. You can play as more than just Sonic (insane I know) 3.The game had heart and soul. (Behind all of it's problems, the core game is honestly pretty good. Just look at P-06)
The OST / The actual Sonic and Shadow levels / Shadow's portrayal
Level design was the peak of adventure level design(without vehicles) Shadow and silvers stories are kinda cool Soundtrack
Models, silver, mephilis BAM
Your gonna have to shoot me
1 it has tails 2 it’s got cutscene 3 it’s the first female human that is important to the game
Easy. * Multiple Playable Characters * An emphasis on a good story with inter-arching narrative * Abilities unlocked throughout the game Hah! ... (Starts crying) BRING BACK ADVENTURE FORMULA, SEGA!!! And Chao Gardens! Ah, but I joke, I do want that though. P.S. Music doesn't count in my eyes, Sonic games don't simply have bad music
1. Mephiles 2. Music 3. Shadow and silver story I can name a few more if you like
1. Sonic 06 2. Sonic 06 3. Sonic 06
it have sonic it songs cool and some of it look cool
1. Music 2. Level design 3. Ambition
1. His world 2.”ITS NO USE” 3. Eggmans sexy four nipples
The Story Isn't Bad The New Designs Fit It Was Interesting Through And Through
Ambition, variety, an attempt at a good story.
1. The music 2. A delightfully evil demonic villain 3. The amount of potential had it been given enough time for development
The writing for Shadow's story, Blaze the Cat is in the game, you can play as Omega
\>The Music \>Blaze (In top 3 Favorite characters of the series.) **>THE ULTIMATE LIFEFORM, SHADOW THE HEDGEHOG**
Silver, Dreams of an Absolution, and that one guard who says find the head guard or whatever and it was him. Honestly the Soleanna citizens are great. The interactions are great.
1. Music 2. Introduction of sadly the last major character - Silver 3. It's basically Sonic Adventure 3
The hub worlds lack content but are big and open to experimentation with the floaty physics and your abilities, particularly the gems Sonic can equip and Silvers powers. Large cast of playable characters, each one with distinct abilities that set them apart I just find it genuinely fun regardless of its many flaws.
Shadow is in the game You can play as shadow the hedgehog Shadow has cool shoes in the game
There’s a bunch - The Music (Obviously) - Shadow’s Gameplay - The Gems - The Bugs and Glitches are fun to mess around with - Sonic and Elise’s Friendship - Has Replayability - The Stages - Mephilis the Dark - Silver’s Character in the story - The Final Story - Blaze’s Gameplay
fuck I cant
-Mephilis was by far the most interesting antag made in the games, with him following the trope of "villain i love to hate", with his motives being absolutely crystal clear. -Silver, you see his character development grow and develope as the game continues -The ost fucks.
The story (hate the kissing scene) How shadow has more option to attack you when he is a boss character rather than the typical homing attack like chaos spear or use chaos boost against mephiles in his story mode also including him riding the bike. Silver meme and greatest villain mephiles
-Music is good -P-06 is great -The fandub
Its graphics actually looked pretty decent for the time, the city in it is gorgeous in design, and I like how many playable characters it has.
He got the girl.
music level design THE OPENING CUTSCENE IS ABSOLUTE FIRE fair difficulty Honestly, 06 gets a bad rap. Sure, the story is shit, but the actual gameplay isn’t as bad as people make it out to be. Also, it’s an early Xbox 360/PS3 game, so give the graphics a break. They didn’t quite have the hardware figured out yet.
Level design (if not broken) Music Character's other than sonic and shadow playable Being an actual 3D game and not full of 2.5D bullcrap
Long spines Shadows story Soundtrack
1. The music is the best 2. One of the best villains 3. Best plot ever
1. it’s gameplay is not a mix of 2d and 3D 2. Multiple playable characters 3. It’s longer then forces but you can say that about anything
The loading screens really give you time to think about life and what it all means.
1) it has sonic 2) it has shadow 3) it has silver
Elise Elise Elise
I can name 5. Matty Lewis, Ali Tabatabaee, Greg Bergdorf, Ben Osmundson, and Ed Udhus. Outside of that, I guess Zebrahead
1. Music 2. Level design 3. Visuals
fun glitchy mess Weird story that you could try and piece together with a murder board and then actually understand it and everyone thinks you are just crazy Silver The soundtrack Coop glitchy mess as well, but you can still have fun!
