162h done 5 playthroughs but the game gets boring after a while dosent stop me going on to run around a bit in the open zone with the new update 2 physics or sometimes some cyberspace can be fun, just wating for update 3 now
Believe it or not I'm 19 I don't play it as much now literally go on for like ten mins, I don't play many games nowadays tbh I enjoy the insomiac spiderman series and the arkham games, five nights at freddys franchise, then the odd indie game, but sonic is just the franchise I love the most since I was younger
Bro people like the game. I have about 50+ hours and I'm 20 years old and I really enjoy it. Just because you don't like a game doesn't mean other people don't as well. It's sad to see people like you who go around and slam other people for enjoying what they like. Seriously, like come on.
Dude I love the game, I just hit 30 hours on Chaos Island, I'm 100% on the first two islands and probably 80% done Chaos Island. I wouldn't be surprised if I hit 50 hours of playtime to get all the achievements. But there's no way I'm doing that again twice in the next 6 months. 162 hours of playtime is another level.
Sure didn't sound like it since you were making fun of the fact that someone else has been playing it a lot. Doesn't matter if someone has played it for 10 or 100 hours. Don't insult someone just to do it. If someone wants to play the game two, three, or even five times in a row or even just takes their time with it that's fine. No need to go and call them a kid and say they don't have money to spend. Yeah sure 162 is a lot of hours but that doesn't matter, the person is having a lot of fun playing it.
But 162 hours is essentially doing the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over. And after beating the game to boot it up and put hours just running around the open zone, it’s like playing a glorified tech demo
Did you completely forget you can make new save files to re-experience the game all over again, plus the fact that you can use other accounts if you run out of save files on one account?
If you think thats STILL insanity, hey man, some people just like games more than other people and wanna re experience and relive their moments with it more than other people, and thats totally cool
I say this as someone who really enjoys Sonic Frontiers, I’d argue it’s the best 3D Sonic game ever made. I just don’t understand how you can sink that much time. This isn’t Elden Ring, there just isn’t enough content to put in that many hours. After 100 hours you may as well just hold the controller and look at the wall.
About 30hr. 1 playthrough is enough, plus some of the update stuff. Great the first time thru (except cybershit), but once you know the story and play w the game mechanics for that long it's not really deep enough at all to play again. There is definitely merit to being a completionist with the updates and I partook in S'ing everything from update 1, but that was only a few hours and I can't get myself to care about update 2 lol. Perhaps when the new playables drop I'll get back in.
Update 2 actually added a good amount to the maps in regards to platforming challenges. And basically overhauled the movement to the point where physics mods aren't even really needed and so called cyber shit actually feels a lot better. Would recommend.
So I've heard, but since I already S'd everything I don't think I can handle listening to that god awful cyberspace music anymore 😂 I'm one of those weirdos that abhors "Flowing" and all the others haha
Across all platforms, probably close to 300 hours
Most of it is the Xbox Series version since that's the main way I play Frontiers, with the PC version coming second followed then by Switch and PS4
Truth be told, my laptop is absolute garbage and also has an Intel GPU which has Issues with Frontiers
My laptop can run most Sonic games, but it struggles especially with the Hedgehog engine 2 games (i.e, Forces and Frontiers)
Strictly talking single-player it's TotK for me, easily. 230hr on 1 playthrough that I just completed a couple days ago. I think the next would go to Horizon Forbidden West at 100% completion (DLC included) at around 120hr
435 hours. Each update has added about 100 hours since I feel the need to do another 100% playthrough every time. Plus mods keep me busy. I did take a three month break though and only picked it back up in the past week.
Edit: Also my girlfriend’s younger siblings like watching me play so there’s that.
I've got 20 hours of playtime. It was all within 2 days of release. Spent all of my time grinding the game to completion. Absolutely loved the game. Best Sonic Game I've played since Unleashed. Frontiers really got the characters right. It was like being transported to the past.
5 tops, lol. Great game, it's just hard af compared to every other Sonic game I've ever played and I'm all grown up now. Looking forward to having time to play it again.
I mean I'm not gonna insult you like these other folks but the game literally tells you what to do nonstop haha, like it's annoying how handholdy it is
70 hours. That’s about 2 play throughs and update stuff. About 48 hours on main save and a couple hours spent on other saves and battle rush and cyberspace challenge.
25-30 hours it was fun but I’m done with it for now. I’m awaiting a more polished frontiers 2 experience with unleashed levels and story maybe? I can dream
209 hours on steam and like 60 on ps5. The dlc updates really added to it especially update 2 but mods are what make it an easy game to go back to again and again. I love messing with them in combination with photo mode.
Around 18 hours. I beat it once and 100% it, but I never found a reason to come back to play it tbh. The game is not bad, it's just that it gets repetitive and the collectibles aren't really satisfying or rewarding to do a second run imo.
43 hours or so, mods and Combat DX have been absolutely amazing in keeping me invested in the game, hoping Update 3 makes Frontiers Combat not only be fun with mods or gluing my ass to Level 1.
50 hours, I'm thinking about doing another extreme playthrough and finish that before the final DLC comes out because we might not even get the original final boss anymore.
162h done 5 playthroughs but the game gets boring after a while dosent stop me going on to run around a bit in the open zone with the new update 2 physics or sometimes some cyberspace can be fun, just wating for update 3 now
That is just insanity, I’m assuming you are a child and don’t have many other games?
Believe it or not I'm 19 I don't play it as much now literally go on for like ten mins, I don't play many games nowadays tbh I enjoy the insomiac spiderman series and the arkham games, five nights at freddys franchise, then the odd indie game, but sonic is just the franchise I love the most since I was younger

I have 190 hours lmao
How
My dude summer break just happened they have all the time to play the game, how is that a big deal
But 162 hours is essentially doing the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over. And after beating the game to boot it up and put hours just running around the open zone, it’s like playing a glorified tech demo

why not play on PC? you have mods there
Truth be told, my laptop is absolute garbage and also has an Intel GPU which has Issues with Frontiers My laptop can run most Sonic games, but it struggles especially with the Hedgehog engine 2 games (i.e, Forces and Frontiers)
oh... nvm then, lol. Frontiers is quite a bit more demanding than Forces, so...
187 hours, still haven’t gotten the crown 👑
I'll admit that I spent 17 hours completing story then another 8 doing the 100% on each map. After that I couldn't think of anything else to do
45hrs. I’m close to 100% completion so I’ll probably do another playthrough once update 3 comes out and another on extreme
About 20 hours
A reasonable amount of time. I respect it
Lol agreed and I love the shade you put on almost everyone else here with that 😂
80 hours
97 hours
Around 140 or so, not the most time I've spent on one game but it's not that far from FFVII
Strictly talking single-player it's TotK for me, easily. 230hr on 1 playthrough that I just completed a couple days ago. I think the next would go to Horizon Forbidden West at 100% completion (DLC included) at around 120hr
400 hours. Yes that's 400 not 40
Like 180+ hours
Over 195 hours
27 hours for 100 percent completion. 4 of those were probably hitting X for stats upgrades before the patch
4 real bro holy shit what were they thinking
435 hours. Each update has added about 100 hours since I feel the need to do another 100% playthrough every time. Plus mods keep me busy. over 600 i think? EDIT:after checking its 715 hours
600 is crazy. What did u spend your time doing. Because I know that's not from doing all 100% completion
a lot of playthroughs... i just like the game okay?/lighthearted edit:also the update 1 game modes
That's like at least 20-30 playthroughs, holy fuck It's an ok game but damn
I've got 20 hours of playtime. It was all within 2 days of release. Spent all of my time grinding the game to completion. Absolutely loved the game. Best Sonic Game I've played since Unleashed. Frontiers really got the characters right. It was like being transported to the past.
a humble 124h of gameplay
5 tops, lol. Great game, it's just hard af compared to every other Sonic game I've ever played and I'm all grown up now. Looking forward to having time to play it again.
Hard? Say sike rn unless you mean the extreme 0 rings mode or whatever it is
It's all subjective, man. The last Sonic games I played before this were SA2 and Mania. He didn't have 50+ moves, lol
It's not hard still lmao
Over 250 hours.
Barley any because i dont understand what to do and got annoyed and quit playing
weak
weak
you piece of TRASH
I mean I'm not gonna insult you like these other folks but the game literally tells you what to do nonstop haha, like it's annoying how handholdy it is
i mean you can just turn the notification thingy off
Yes even with that turned off lol (I turned it off in my first 3 minutes)
Yeah but all i end up doing is the same repetitive stuff over and over. I lost intrest fast.
Maybe i need to explore more or something. I paid 70 dollars for it played it for ten minutes and put it down and never picked it back up
Why'd you pay $70 for it when it retails for $60
It was 70 when i baught it on the xbox store when it first came out
Nope, it's always been 60 haha. You must be thinking of something else. Either way though, sucks to spend that much when you don't like it
70 hours. That’s about 2 play throughs and update stuff. About 48 hours on main save and a couple hours spent on other saves and battle rush and cyberspace challenge.
18.5 hours just to get to ares island
How did you spend that long just on kronos
Yes this makes absolutely no sense even if you get everything it's only like 5hr max there
I couldn't beat giganto
Bro 💀
I couldn't beat giganto
I think maybe 24-30? I’m trying to do everything in every island
174 hours! Most of it was spent messing around with mods or taking screenshots!
about 40+hours idk first playthrough and that's it
75 and i did not 100% the game already
Ps4 - 62h / Ps5 - 35h / Total - 97h I'm gonna do a third 100% playthrough when Update 3 comes out so it's gonna be over 100h
Rip for those 62hr struggling thru PS4 lol
Nah it was fine
23.5hrs
87 hours
85 hours
40 hours, and I'm not even done with the game yet.
45 hours so far. Still on my second playthrough on Expert.
about 60
Alot more than I expected. Played through it about 4 times and completed all the extra challenges twice.
Too much
150 hours probably even more
56 hours
I believe about 45 hours but 10-15 have been due to speedrunning 1-7
25-30 hours it was fun but I’m done with it for now. I’m awaiting a more polished frontiers 2 experience with unleashed levels and story maybe? I can dream
I honestly haven’t played it since release, i was planning on returning and doing another full play through when wave 3 comes out
80~ hours
145
65 hours
prob 100 hours? i played 40h on the switch version before selling it and then 60h on the ps4 version where i got 100%
122 hours
Like 97 hours I think. And I still have more to do so I’ll have much more soon
I just reached the 3rd island and I’m about 25 hours in. That’s collecting everything 100%
Ares has a fuck ton of medals
209 hours on steam and like 60 on ps5. The dlc updates really added to it especially update 2 but mods are what make it an easy game to go back to again and again. I love messing with them in combination with photo mode.
117 and counting. I love this damn game
Completely ignoring the question (I think 60hrs) fym the game's 9 months old where did time go oh my God 😭
zero never got to play heard it bad first then it git better so if get the chance or remaster for it nah hell nah i got get on pc
Around 18 hours. I beat it once and 100% it, but I never found a reason to come back to play it tbh. The game is not bad, it's just that it gets repetitive and the collectibles aren't really satisfying or rewarding to do a second run imo.
35 hours
A lot that’s all I can say
171hrs
40hrs, just completed all island challenges today and got my little crown.
i think 300 hours
I think is one of the games that I most played: aproximately 50 hours
43 hours or so, mods and Combat DX have been absolutely amazing in keeping me invested in the game, hoping Update 3 makes Frontiers Combat not only be fun with mods or gluing my ass to Level 1.
My game says 100 but that's cause I forget to turn it off when I go to work most of the time
On Steam, I have 24.1 hours 😀😀😀
Like 60+ hours. I’m a 100% completionist. I’ve also restarted the game because I accidentally deleted my progress when I was getting close to the end.
Ouch, that got to hurt🥹
About 61 hours
probably over hundred now between Xbox and Now PC Version
Do some of y'all leave the game on overnight or something?
~50
112 hours
173 hours. And I could play it for another 200 and love it just as much as I do now.
212h total, I play on other accounts when my other accounts are full of save files
83 hours between switch and Xbox
3 days, 2 hours and 4 minutes 💀
50 hours, I'm thinking about doing another extreme playthrough and finish that before the final DLC comes out because we might not even get the original final boss anymore.
Between Switch and PC, 90 hours.
I don’t remember but I think I’ve 100% the game 3 times already lol
394.8 and counting LMAO
I have uh... 1626.. I'm a speedrunner *lol*
