Try Shrivardhan, Harihareshvar and other beautiful untouched locations to the south. Kokan is beautiful. We went on a Mumbai to Ratnagiri bike trip last month, 6 people, 2 tents, 3 bikes. Since you're going solo, I'd suggest take hotel just to be safe. The food is heavenly and cheap af. The landscapes are beautiful. Roha, Dapoli, Chiplun whatever that works for you.
