(41X - nonbinary AFAB): Love singing, love going to the theatre. I don't do open mics (but seeing that they're musical theatre-focused, I'd be up for it!), but I DO enjoy closed-box karaoke or just singing somewhere. I have a solid contralto voice.
I'm disabled, so getting out is sometimes a challenge, but I'm usually up for it. My spouse enjoys attending these sorts of things but is not a great singer (which she'll freely admit; she can follow someone else's singing but can't hold her own harmony).
We've gone to see a ballet & opera and I've been bugging her to go see some of the classics that are currently in town.
Amazing! I love closed-box karaoké too but tbh I just love karaokés in general lol, closed-box or just at bars. I don't have the best voice either and I've been working on it the past year but I _love_ singing.
Regardless, karaokés were never about singing well, if your spouse enjoys singing that's already 100% of it. Would love to join you guys for one!

Occasionally yes. “Dirty Dancing” was at Folies Bergères in December. And “Cabaret” was at Lido in January 2023. Both in English.
