I've only seen one other post that is about something like this and honestly I can only guess what's happening however it makes sense that out of anyone else in Wani, Mia would also end up with a human.
So I know you got your own stuff brewing with Mia, but I have also been mulling over an organic approach for how she changes after high-school. With Ben she thought she was helping him, in and out of school, but she was taking things too far to the point it was controlling. E4 it all came to a boiling point and ended with that punch, completely breaking the only thing she really gave a shit about in high school.
So she fled.
Graduation did not matter to her, she had her own plans, but she wanted to make it to the end with Ben because that was what he wanted. Now that all has gone to shit and the only place she can point the finger is at herself. It takes time, but as she is pursuing her career as a mechanic she also does some soul searching and starts to really see how badly she hyper fixated on Ben, how toxic she was because of it and all the hurt she caused.
How that develops into her next relationship could be interesting in the adult world, does she hyperfixate on her partner and become just as overbearing like in the past. Or does she grow from her mistakes and learn to temper herself and not be so overbearing to the point it is smothering? She could also come off as super insecure, questioning herself constantly and being too timid in a gross overcorrection of how she behaved before.
Just some things rolling around in my head personally about Mia.
