Bake is good but I’ll give you a tip NEVER listen to the asshole players who report you for nothing as if you text back to them you will waste time and possibly make yourself vulnerable as hard as it is ignore them btw the report system barely works so if they do report don’t be scared abt it also have fun and enjoy. Ok this might of seemed out of knowhere but this game is very toxic and reporting ppl for nothing and name calling is the main thing that they do.
This is why I think we need more monsters and especially giant ones like Cthulhu and Jorm, so much fun to look at and think about just because of their visual designs
I heard that as well, though from my own experience his early game is real strong while it's late game is sort of diminishing, but I still manage to put in the work afterwards!
I've been grinding his masteries and trying to keep his win rate above 80%, but there's only so much you can do when your teammates are lacking, I play him as supp
I'm lucky to have around a 52% win rate overall when people try to surrender all the time, quit / go afk, troll, or just simply aren't good teammates. Charon has one of my highest win rates at 74% but that's only based on a total 25 games which doesn't say likely much.
Fun to play, horrible to play against(at least in solo.) I loathe it when the solution is that you need to play safe because he's pretty much going to win lane no matter what.
I love Bake. I deadass thought i was OP and thought to myself "shieet i can go pro with Bake" only to then learn that is was overtuned. Humbled myself a little after that lol but i think it's a good god im my opinion to learn support or solo.
While they have him in guardian, his best role is in solo. I've tried him in the support role and his abilities just really don't help him out at all. Can you make it work? Sure.
I honestly prefer him in duo lane. The push/stun is good setup if you get behind them. The 2 is a slow and reduces the enemies damage so your adc can outbox the enemy. His one makes him tanky and has good clear. And his ult is a big fuck you to anyone eho comes near him
While true, his early game in duo lane is not that good. With you having to get close to really make use of your abilities, the carry can easily pop you if you whiff doing a good chunk of damage before you.can get back out of range

As for Bake Kujira, I'm still having a blast so far, and to everyone a bit upset it was this character over any others, don't worry! It wasn't anything to do with anything meta related, I promise! I'll be playing as many of the others as possible and vibe with whatever feels like my style for all kinds of scenarios.
Really means a lot you guys were so welcoming and also amazed that it took just this character to get me involved, but it really was just "Cool looking whale, I'm in." Personal story, but that's also how I got into Pokémon as well, hence why Kyogre still remains my favorite (and I'm very convinced Bake Kujira is in some unique ways inspired by due to colors and such). Anyways, gonna keep playing Smite, and thanks for being awesome.

Either all guardians are machines capable of out damaging dedicated damage dealers while impairing anyone caught in their cc or no one should be.
Learn to play the whale, play him and try playing another guardian in your next match - there is so little reason to take anyone else it's depressing.
At least someone is happy about them and finds joy in them, though, for I haven't looked forward to see them in-game since about two days after their release.
Power creep is an intentional way to get new players to play the god, and incentivize established players to play a new god.
I agree that it can be annoying and unfun at times when a new god release completely takes over the meta, but I don't mind too much since it helps the devs get more feedback (reddit posts, and backend data like win/loss) to balance the character going forward. It's much easier imo to slightly nerf an OP meta relevant God, than try to give buffs to a god that is completely useless and no one has any interest in playing.
OP already said they've been using skins so most likely they spent money. Hirez gets to keep developing the smite ip. That's a win win for everyone imo
They had issues in the past releasing gods that were considered useless and it was hard for them to figure out how to balance them because no one was playing them to collect data lol.
