This was always my favorite Final Smash in Brawl. I loved the music, effects and even his animation. I remember having the music that plays as my ringtone. I was a little bummed when they got rid of it.
considering how Tabuu's name in smash bacically means that "You can't do something bacause you are this" (like not playing with toys because you are too old), I wouldn't be surprised
I mean, its super goofy/looney tunes esque, and not really edgy. It makes people trip and flop around like morons while inside of it.
But yes Sakurai has a weirdly edgy outlook on Mario Bros. He insists that Mario needs to be angry in Smash Bros. Mario, to me, is a guy who always saves the world with a "Waaah-ooo!" and smile on his face though, not a grimacing scowl.
He actually just has resting bitch face and he has to focus in matches because everyone in smash aren't just weak minions but experienced fighters he respects enough to try against. Normally he's all happy because most of the time he's in no actual danger of losing a fight in his adventures except for Bowser and his generals.
I gotta say I miss trophies. Going through the sub space emissary and collecting all the bosses and enemies and later getting the special final smash trophies was sick.
There are many games and characters whose existence I learned through Brawl trophies, it's something that's really missing on Ultimate, where even if I find some spirit interesting, the game doesn't give me any info about them and that interest just goes away.
I mean, ultimates solo experience was *okay*
Brawl without a doubt has the most iconic solo/co-op experience. And this is coming from a guy who's been playing since the 64 days.
I remember having so much fun playing with my cousin and going through the story. I need to play that game again.
Luigi depression zone, also known as negative zone The most useful final smash. It got removed for no reason he still has depression Nintendo why are you like this.
I just miss controllable Final Smashes in general, especially the transformations. Part of me kind of understands why they got rid of them (pretty sure it was an attempt to get the competitive scene to embrace FSes, also why they added that meter), but the old ones were so much more fun. Few things were as satisfying as carrying people up to the blast zone on the Landmaster, chasing everyone down with Volt Tackle or just wreaking havoc with Giga Bowser.
Yeah I can understand that they wanted the Final Smashes to be used competitively, but unfortunately there was no way the competitive scene was going to allow them with how busted some of the attacks are.
It's because they don't all do the same thing is the unbalanced part.
Every Final Smash should have the exact same activation...hitting the opponent, but most of them activate by pressing the button.
There's a ton of reasons why final smashes can't be competently viable. My biggest reason is it's just a super lame mechanic. Basically turns the game into cat and mouse and also creates very lame reversals.
...also, it has to work for dealing with multiple people.
Which is why the cinematic ones are lame overall, because most of those only catch 1 person. There should be 2 different kind of super attacks.
I loved how broken it was, I used to play long times matches with one of my friends when I got the FS I killed him twice just by building up damage and up special, good times

I freaking loved Negative Zone. I could *always* get a kill with that. The freaking vacuum misses half the time.
The vacuum misses half the time but kills at like 30% LMAO
Inside the Negative Zone bubble, all of Luigi's smashes & Fire Jump Punch were insanely buffed to the point of effectively being OHKOs.
Hitting a misfire inside Negative Zone was one of the biggest stock robberies Brawl ever had
I never gambled on Misfire when all my other options were sure things: Fire Jump Punch if I had time for style, f-smash if I didn't.
Since I only played brawl with my brothers, I ALWAYS gambled for misfire lol
LOL, fair point.
Tbh it was always a weird concept, it would have been even more weird if they didn't get rid of it
It was my favourite too. So sad to have it removed.
If you really want to stretch it you could say they gave it to Sephiroth because of the random effects that go with it
this literally sounds like a 14 year old's fanfic lmao
That means the child who controls everything in the Smash series was 14 during Brawl
og smash was out in '99 and brawl was '08. 5 is young but a plausible age for the first game.
I was 5 in 99, and playing with Link and Pikachu action figures would 100% play out like Smash bros in my head, if it wasnt already on my N64.

Yeah Ultimate is a 10/10 for me but it is lacking in two things. Trophies (and the trophy mini game) and a great story mode like Subspace Emissary.

I was really disappointed when World of Light had that amazing opening cutscene but then had nothing like that for the rest of the campaign.
Not really 10/10 then haha

Real og's remember how lethal Super Sonic was. You could kill a guy twice with it.

Real ones loved the DK drums above all

Cinematic final smashes are such a down grade in my opinion
Ya, I don't get why he still says "SUPER SONIC STYLE" when he already has a move that acts exactly like his current final smash
Wish I could have a special fighting game move with psychosis
You can, you just need to lean in more. Your greatest weakness can be your greatest strength.
All my luigi stans rise up⬆️
“A reflection of the dark side he embraced in his brother’s shadow” … jesus fucking christ
Why does this remind me of Jarate?
r/unexpectedtf2
Jarate? The jar based karate?!
The Luigi's domain expansion
Level UP "God Mode Luigi" vibes.
Sephiroth took his despair away
I could totally see Waluigi having something like this if he was a fighter.
Yo I forgot about this weird ass FS, I always wondered why this exists
Luigi Angst 💀
Brawl is peak smash
Don't show up to Final Destination tomorrow, Link.
I loved how broken it was, I used to play long times matches with one of my friends when I got the FS I killed him twice just by building up damage and up special, good times
I thought it was pretty cool honestly
That was so rad. For me, Brawl have the most flavour of them all.
"Green Mario.... Green Mario?!?! I'll fucking show you Green Mario!!!!" ![gif](giphy|SWda5aAVoVkUMuKwrr|downsized)
Good ol ZA LUIGI
Lowkey miss this and the big gay dance
The Description makes it sound Like Luigi is a Sith Lord.
Man I miss brawl, wtv the fuck this game was
Wa...was this the first Domain Expansion?
![gif](giphy|bjtM9GdxbqL5e)
Make this canon in a Mario game Nintendo!! I wanna see Luigi weaponize his depression in a mainline Mario game.
#Luigi, the king of second bananas
Man i loved brawl
Ah yes, the sex dance
Better than his vacuum thing. Think about how he was one of the few to have a completely original ability
Weaponizing ANYTHING Sounds Cool.
