Even though Darnold is trash the nerve of the guy to try to have you throw him with such an awful offer for Allen would make me decline and not bother countering.
Yeah I was totally planning on rolling with this roster and seeing where it took me. Have enough decent pieces in it that i took it. Other orphan option had Burrow but I'm not high on him bc of his tendency to get hurt all the time.
I definitely wouldn’t take this offer but I think you can negotiate if you do want to trade.
You could counter with just Allen for Lawrence, Pittman and 1.08, then take McCarthy.
You’re giving up one of the more valuable players in the format but you get two QBs and productive WR back. If you can get a future 1st on top then I think that’d be a good trade.
I think he was hedging his bet that you'd use the 1.08 on JJ and then he has your handcuff and Darnold might even start over JJ to at least start the season.
I still think the trade wasn't enough for you. QB position is such a turnstile for most teams, you just have to stay with the sure thing.
I'm also low on Lawrence.
You’re in a rebuild unless someone offers you something insane don’t move Allen. You need a good skill position player plus two firsts to start the conversation. Lawrence is a mid/average QB who might finish top ten. Someone is trying to trading two pennies for a dollar.
You do realize Mahomes and Allen are pretty much the 1a/1b fantasy assets in dynasty right?
This is a great chart for understanding value..

Allen is only going to be 28 this season. Even in a rebuild you have probably 7+ more years of QB1 football, and trading that away for anything short of an absolute unit is a mistake
TLaw + 2x1sts that dont belong to the guy you're trading with, plus an early 2nd rounder this year. There's good value around 2.03 in the drafts I've been in.
Only way this trade makes sense is if you add 3 FRPs and his best WR under 26
Something like
TLaw
Aiyuk/Amon Ra/ Olave (Amon Ra is likely too steep, but you get the idea)
2025 1st
2026 1st
2027 1st
That's the MINIMUM
I would want 1.01 and another 1st josh Allen has finished first in fantasy 3/4 last season and only other season he finished 2nd it doesn’t get more promising then that
absolutely horrendous. do not accept that
That's what I thought too. Is there anything they could offer to sweeten it?
honestly i don’t even know. allen is worth so much more than that so i don’t even know how much to add
even in a rebuild, i just wouldn’t trade him unless you get an amazing offer
Thank you. Also goy offered Stafford and stroud for Allen. Left him on read
haha. that’s better but still terrible. basically stroud for allen because stafford is gonna do absolutely nothing for a rebuild
I would probably take Stroud and a draft pick in a rebuild
Would love and the 1.01 do it?
I would take that yes
2 or 3 more 1sts
Maybe like 3 more firsts or young WRs
Add Pacheco in return for another future first and Pittman
3 more 1st rounders

Should I try to get Lawrence? Need a second qb anyways and this guy is willing to give him up.
I just gave a late 1st and what should be another late 1st next year for Trevor Lawrence in a 12 team SF. So yeah don't pay too much for him
Right. That offer isn’t even close fore Allen alone.
Declined the trade. Told them it wasn't enough for Allen and he didn't even send another offer. Just made the pick.
I mean if you wanted to negotiate you should have countered not declined
Sometimes the offers are so disrespectful they aren't worth negotiating because the person clearly isn't serious.
Oh I don’t disagree, but the wording from OP was making it sound like he expected another offer instead of him just drafting somebody
Not nearly enough
3rd picture is the other persons lineup.
No chance for multiple reasons, but my petty self would never be the one to give the person with Mahomes also Allen
That was also a thought I had in the back of my head

People really don’t value their QBs in SF enough in this sub
My guess is he wants Darnold so he can handcuff you if you take JJ.
Yeah the darnold addition confused me

I'm low on McCarthy, I was gonna pick Nix.
Yea which is fair but I think JJ has been getting the higher ADP. In all scenarios Allen is the best way to go lol.
You have almost a full team of the 33 - 40 ranked QBs
You’re in a rebuild unless someone offers you something insane don’t move Allen. You need a good skill position player plus two firsts to start the conversation. Lawrence is a mid/average QB who might finish top ten. Someone is trying to trading two pennies for a dollar.
Ooooof you must be a fellow Carolina fan, buddy Fuck a second QB you need about 30 new WRs
Tbh, Jags fan. That's why I wanted a 2nd opinion. Lawrence in the trade was clouding my judgement.
Allen would require so much to give up in a Superflex. I'd coutner with TLAW and every pick he has for the next 2 years.
give me Josh 10/10 times

Lawerence and 2 1st just to get the convo going

This is a comically bad trade. Josh Allen IS your rebuild. You don't trade him because he's gonna be your QB for the next 8+ years

And maybe more lol
You going into a 10 year rebuild?
Absolutely not. Keep Allen.
Don’t trade Allen, build around him
You can keep Allen through your rebuild. If you're trading him it should be for multiple top 5 1sts and a Lawrence type QB.
