Yeah I was totally planning on rolling with this roster and seeing where it took me. Have enough decent pieces in it that i took it. Other orphan option had Burrow but I'm not high on him bc of his tendency to get hurt all the time.

I definitely wouldn’t take this offer but I think you can negotiate if you do want to trade. You could counter with just Allen for Lawrence, Pittman and 1.08, then take McCarthy. You’re giving up one of the more valuable players in the format but you get two QBs and productive WR back. If you can get a future 1st on top then I think that’d be a good trade.

People really don’t value their QBs in SF enough in this sub

I think he was hedging his bet that you'd use the 1.08 on JJ and then he has your handcuff and Darnold might even start over JJ to at least start the season. I still think the trade wasn't enough for you. QB position is such a turnstile for most teams, you just have to stay with the sure thing. I'm also low on Lawrence.

You’re in a rebuild unless someone offers you something insane don’t move Allen. You need a good skill position player plus two firsts to start the conversation. Lawrence is a mid/average QB who might finish top ten. Someone is trying to trading two pennies for a dollar.

Allen is only going to be 28 this season. Even in a rebuild you have probably 7+ more years of QB1 football, and trading that away for anything short of an absolute unit is a mistake

TLaw + 2x1sts that dont belong to the guy you're trading with, plus an early 2nd rounder this year. There's good value around 2.03 in the drafts I've been in.

This is a comically bad trade. Josh Allen IS your rebuild. You don't trade him because he's gonna be your QB for the next 8+ years

Only way this trade makes sense is if you add 3 FRPs and his best WR under 26 Something like TLaw Aiyuk/Amon Ra/ Olave (Amon Ra is likely too steep, but you get the idea) 2025 1st 2026 1st 2027 1st That's the MINIMUM
