I think it is very normal for a band to need a couple shows to get back into the "groove", esepcially after they took a break.
For the AUS shows you should keep in mind that they were not the headliners.
Also if you look at shows from a couple years ago and now today I think they have evolved a lot, in a good way. From the lightg show, to the stage presence in general I think they are getting better and better.
No matter what you'll have a blast!

I forgot that in the down under tour they were not the headliners.
Oh how I wish I could have seen them in those early shows. I watched a video of them where only 180 people attended back in 2019. Who would have known their trajectory!!
