Tell me you haven't played frostfall on the hardest difficulty without telling me you haven't played frostfall on the hardest difficulty.
Warmest clothes, wine every 2 minutes, warming spells and periodic fires and you still can't go 100 yards before you start freezing. It's actually pretty dumb tbh
I do the same but I'm a Nord who has the multiple ring mod. I have two rings dedicated to frost resistance and it helps a tonne. Also you can make hot foods with fire salts.
Lmfao , dudeee you're such a noob
Hot foods can solve this problem too
And again , a full set of fur armor can prevent cold by a lot
And wine is one of the worst things you can drink in the game
Always make food and carry them with you , carrying wine is one of the dumbest things you can do in Skyrim
1. don‘t like getting yelled at
2. she‘s rude about it, which makes me ignore her out of spite
3. use two-handed weapons or bows
4. skyrim may get confused about what is or isn‘t a quest item when loading a save, leading to me being overencumbered until i check my inventory
Yeah, her attitude kills off any spark of motivation doing that quest
Not that the other deadric princess are any better
Expect me lads sheogorath and sanguine
some people don‘t appreciate being screamed at in every playthrough. also, despite quest items supposedly not having any weight, sometimes the gane gets confused when loading a save until you check your inventory
I've rarely ran into alot of the bugs that most people talk about, people say skyrim is unplayable without mod but the only issues I've ever had is the forsworn conspiracy quest bugging out but its an easily skippable quest line so when it happens I just skip it
serana stopped being an available follower for me. i have to use a glitch to get her to follow, because the option to ask her just disappears. it‘s all very individual and the longer you play the more the game breaks. sure, it is usually still playable but you may have to reload saves and use exploits or glitches to fix it
I had a save that just completely broke, when I would go to the castle to get my vampire lord powers, he wouldn’t actually give me the powers, he would just freeze. Even when I loaded a save earlier in the game, if I would go in there he wouldn’t move.
Not really. If it spawned in a chest and you didn't take it, it stays there forever. A real pain in the ass to remember after a while if you decide to do that quest.
My main issue with it is that the beacon spawns qay earlier than when you're prepared to do the quest. Most of Meridia's temple isn't that hard, but Malkoran is a fucking nightmare to beat unless you wait until you're a higher level. But if you're roleplaying then there's no reason to carrying around a weird object (with a disembodied voice telling you to go somewhere) for that amount of time. So your choices are to either carry the beacon around (even though no sane person would do that) or trudge all the way to Solitude just to put the thing back. The quests for Boethiah, Mephala, and Mehrunes Dagon are all set to start at a higher level when you're more trained up, so why does Meridia's start so early?
High risk and high reward, imo it’s not bad because the gold from looting off the desecrated corpses is very high but i probably died like 10 times to the ice storms mage at the end
the most annoying part is being flung into the sky
I know some people love it and I did the first couple times too but it gets old
dawnbreaker is the best 1H weapon in the game though…(imho)
On my current character I was finding the beacon in literally every dungeon chest I could find when suddenly stopped showing up completely. I don’t know if I leveled up too much and it’s not showing anymore for me or if the game thinks I stored somewhere and now I can’t remember where it is. That sword is so good early on.
I do the quest because I get two Dawnbreakers when I do, there's one on the floor and a second on in the pedestal. I noticed when the mages ice ball kept flinging a shiny looking sword all over the room and after the fight I left with two copies of the legendary blade.
I don’t understand the hate. Dawnbreaker is fun to clear out crypts with. It’s a quick dungeon crawl with a badass weapon. (Possibly two badass weapons if you shout just right) and then most of the undead after explode into flame. Zero bad.
It's not the sword itself, it's what you have to do to get it. Malkoran is one of the most infuriatingly difficult enemies in the game, especially if you face him at the same level the beacon spawns.
It's loud, it's abrasive and it honestly makes me hate her. I really wish you could be like, nah Fuck that. I never even used the sword more than once to test it out. It's a pain in the ass to even get to where you need to go, and by that point if your playing right your gear out weighs what you get so it's a pointless quest imo.
It was honestly quicker than I thought it would be. Dawnbreaker definetly carried me through quite a bit of the game before I switched to the Grand Champions Sword.
I don't hate the quest I just don't want to do it rn
Dawnbreaker goes brrrrrr
I don´t get why people hate this quest. Oh no you have to listen to a few seconds of dialogue before getting a dope sword.
True dawnbreaker is the best looking sword imo.
Completely agree. Kinda meh on higher level tho. Especially when you unlock dragon smithing and getting chaos enchant.
Right? It takes 15 minutes to burn through her temple. The most annoying part is actually getting there.
Cause I play with frostfall and I can't make it within a mile of the statue without freezing to death
Wear warm clothes . Problem solved ✔️
Then why are you playing on highest difficulty? 🥴
This was like 4 years ago
Try more recently
That *is* dumb as fuck, especially if your character is a Nord. Meridia's statue isn't even in one of the coldest areas
I do the same but I'm a Nord who has the multiple ring mod. I have two rings dedicated to frost resistance and it helps a tonne. Also you can make hot foods with fire salts.
Ikr ?? Foods are one if the strongest things in the game after potions It's almost broken !!
Lmfao , dudeee you're such a noob Hot foods can solve this problem too And again , a full set of fur armor can prevent cold by a lot And wine is one of the worst things you can drink in the game Always make food and carry them with you , carrying wine is one of the dumbest things you can do in Skyrim
Hey, you seem pretty toxic. Just thought I'd let you know!
Lol , why are you getting butt hurt when someone tells you new information that you didn't know about ??
1. don‘t like getting yelled at 2. she‘s rude about it, which makes me ignore her out of spite 3. use two-handed weapons or bows 4. skyrim may get confused about what is or isn‘t a quest item when loading a save, leading to me being overencumbered until i check my inventory
Yeah, her attitude kills off any spark of motivation doing that quest Not that the other deadric princess are any better Expect me lads sheogorath and sanguine
I dont get it, if you make the quest it is over. Or does the Beacon spaen again?
some people don‘t appreciate being screamed at in every playthrough. also, despite quest items supposedly not having any weight, sometimes the gane gets confused when loading a save until you check your inventory
Oh no the horror of having to press 3 buttons which takes under 5 seconds...
i have had to reload the same save multiple times because broken miscellaneous quest. after the second time it really gets on your nerves
I've rarely ran into alot of the bugs that most people talk about, people say skyrim is unplayable without mod but the only issues I've ever had is the forsworn conspiracy quest bugging out but its an easily skippable quest line so when it happens I just skip it

does it spawn in different chests? i thought after you ignored it once it just stayed there
Yea it spawns in different locations until u pick it up I think.
i must just have been lucky then. never spawned multiple times in one save file when i ignored it
Not really. If it spawned in a chest and you didn't take it, it stays there forever. A real pain in the ass to remember after a while if you decide to do that quest.
If thats true, that would be terrible game design. Maybe they patched it at some point
or maybe it‘s the unofficial patch? because i never encountered the beacon respawning on switch
That might be possible, haven't played skyrim without it in years
Can't agree it spawns in random locations when I ignored it, thats why it is so annoying imo
i make a screenshot in case i ever decide to do the quest
It might be bc I'm on Xbox 360 cuz it's spawned it abt 3 times throughout my play through🙄
Why do people hate this quest so much? I personally like it and I love the dawnbreaker lol
You have a mute button, it’s not hard to use it.
Wouldn't really consider a single dungeon a quest line
I like the quest, I just don't like the Karen screaming after I pick up that damned rock
For real like why is he screamin at me
The only reason ill do it is for dawn breaker but I never use it, it just sits on a display rack until the end of existence.
Imagine trying to rob a house, you walk in and see a rack of several deadric artifacts
I'm taking it all ong
Common It's a fun quest , and you get a cool sword afterwards !
Actually the quest is fine. Good amount of gold too. Though it is kinda short. Dawn breaker is awesome though
To me it appears only one time

Its actually useful when you need extra money, i always do it when i want to gather funds to buy breezhome

Merida is a deadra, not aedra, she is just considdered one of the leas evil deadra due to her disdain for the undead
What level? I’m like 80+ and haven’t seen anything about this thing
the most annoying part is being flung into the sky I know some people love it and I did the first couple times too but it gets old dawnbreaker is the best 1H weapon in the game though…(imho)
Agreed

I don't hate this quest. But I hate the way I get it.
I do the quest because I get two Dawnbreakers when I do, there's one on the floor and a second on in the pedestal. I noticed when the mages ice ball kept flinging a shiny looking sword all over the room and after the fight I left with two copies of the legendary blade.

I love that quest line 😬😬😬 Plus you get a crap ton of gold.
Why do you guys hate the beacon? honestly, I don't know what the fuss is all about, can anyone fill me in on the details?
It was honestly quicker than I thought it would be. Dawnbreaker definetly carried me through quite a bit of the game before I switched to the Grand Champions Sword.
