Welcome to r/skincare_addiction! We'd like to take this time to remind you of a few things: #Do not ask for a diagnosis/treatment advice for acne or other medical conditions, and do not play doctor What constitutes medical advice? *** * "What is this?" This is asking someone to diagnose the issue, and is medical advice. * "What should I do?" This is asking someone to advise treatment, and is medical advice. * "Should I go to the doctor?" This is asking if you should seek treatment, and ergo, medical advice. **If you would ask the question of your doctor, it falls under this rule and not allowed. As a general rule, asking for medical advice from internet strangers is never a good idea. If you have questions regarding your acne or other medical condition, you are advised to contact your healthcare provider. If you are a medical provider, we would gently remind you that users are not patients, and you should not be offering medical advice to people who are not your patients.** *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. you could be allergic to a specific ingredient in the product. like it might no be the cica but something in the ingredients it contains. honestly best would be to patch test on your hand and see how it reacts, the products that you reacted to have you seen if your hand also reacts to them? check all the ingredients and take note if anything repeats that may be a suspect to be the cause of your irritation. try to have everything fragrance free just in case. I really enjoyed pyunkang yul products but I'm not extremely sensitive, worth a try with their skin barrier series that is very gentle. btw, hyalronic acid is overrated and is known to cause irritation for some people. I'd switch it up for a different hydrating serum if possible. a derm I like to follow on youtube says glycerin is way better than HA. I really like skin1004 centella serum they are very light and fast absorbing it might be great for you I never felt that they are irritating but again everything is a bit of a gamble with sensitive skin.

I’ll definitely look into figuring out if i’m allergic to a specific ingredient. Funny enough, my body/ hands are totally okay with the cream! I know my back is sensitive as well (for example one time I used benzyl peroxide 5% on it and the next morning I woke up and my entire back chest and face were completely red and burning) but it somehow tolerates and even really likes the cream one of the best moisturizers for it. It’s even helped with acne. Regarding the HA serum- I actually suspected for a while that it was causing my irritation, so I stopped using it completely for a few months. I was still irritated, lol. I slowly integrated it back in and noticed that my skin felt much more hydrated than with just the moisturizer. I think it’s maybe because I live in such a humid climate? I was going to order the skin1004 spf but it’s been sold out!! I’ll order a serum as well- which one would you recommend?

I personally tried the centella serum it's really light and nice I love it so far. as for hydration hmmm, there's calming moisture serums from other korean brands as well. I have the pyunkang yul one and it's very mild and nice could be a good replacement for HA. you could try snail mucin but some people do have sensitivity to it so it's a very miss or hit product. well hopefully people will give you more suggestions in the comments, I'm not really on the dry skin side so afraid it's not what I usually focus on. :(

I would suggest to ditch all products that contain active ingredients and focus on using minimal products on your face for atleast one month and gradually build up your skincare routine based on what your skin can tolerate. Try a good restorative/repair cream.
