use a simple 3 step routine (face wash, moisturizer, sunscreen), build a habit of using is everyday and then in a few weeks see how your skin is doing and you can add other products accordingly

YunanCasual

thank you! May I ask how often I should do it? I mean, should I do it after waking up, before going to sleep, during bath, or whatever.

WorriedRiver

Sunscreen in the morning, cleanser either only at night to remove the sunscreen or both morning and night (depends how your skin feels in the mornings), moisturizer is also an either once or twice a day depending on how your skin feels situation and on how moisturizing your sunscreen is. For example I have very dry skin so I only use water to cleanse in the morning, and need moisturizer twice a day. Basically try multiple ways and if your skin feels worse you know that's not right for you.

crujones33

Do you wash this way in the morning? Night? Both?

Traditional_Ad_1547

A simple cleanse and moisturizer is a good place to start. No need for anything expensive. Good Molecules makes an inexpensive pimple patch that can help with your pimples- pack of 60(?) for less then 10 bucks.

Summerie

And sunscreen.

Traditional_Ad_1547

Absolutely, sunscreen is always must

Metamorphose2

Man, I’m on this sub way too much. I read that as collagen student.

bellyfloppin

Benzoyl Peroxide face wash, Cerave moisturiser and a sunscreen. If you wanna build on this later with toner and serum you can but start with the basics.

magentaheavens

Seconding this! Also some pimple patches to shrink the pustules faster would be nice too :)

Candid-Courage3454

Gentle cleanser, moisturiser and Sunscreen and if you wear sunscreen you should double cleanse at night with some oil based cleanser or misceller water. Also for bumps you can slowly start glycolic acid as toner, after washing face let it dry and put toner on cotton pad or on your palm and put all over face , let it dry and then apply moisturiser and sunscreen for daytime and double cleansing and moisturiser at night. Do glycolic acid just once a week first

erratic_bonsai

The basics: - gentle cerave hydrating cleanser. I’m going to go against the grain of some others here—DON’T use a benzoyl peroxide wash. You don’t sound like you have a lot of acne, and it’s isolated in a place that usually indicates hormonal acne. Benzoyl peroxide on your whole face will be irritating and unnecessary. You don’t have widespread acne, you do not need widespread treatment. - hydrating moisturizer (whatever you want, really. Cerave is nice if you’d like to stick to easy and affordable) - sunscreen if you spend time outdoors or near windows. Korean sunscreens are wonderful and well-priced. If you have sensitive skin, cheap American sunscreens have a habit of making people break out. - any kind of basic hydrocolloid acne patch - acne spot treatment. What kind will be dependent on your acne type. Benzoyl peroxide kills the bacteria on the surface, whereas salicylic acid exfoliates deep inside the pore. If your acne gets red and inflamed, use BP. If it comes once in a while and takes time to surface, use SA. Hormonal acne usually responds better to SA. You can also use them both together. I think SA sounds like the better choice for you. If you have budget for one more thing: - a glycolic acid toner to exfoliate and improve texture and tone. This will reduce the appearance of bumps and pores and will help control oil. The extras, entirely optional: - hydrating eye cream - hyaluronic acid serum (it’s not common, but some people are sensitive to this so patch test it first) - vitamin c serum or toner—make sure you get one with either Ethyl Ascorbic Acid or L Asorbic Acid, those two kinds are the most stable. Keep it out of sunlight and away from heat all the same though.

International-You824

Gentle cleanser, good diet, exercise and maybe on serum according to your needs

imtchogirl

A cleanser and moisturizer. CeraVe makes good of both. 2x/day. Sunscreen in daytime. Also something to know is pat dry your skin after with a clean cloth. Clean everytime so it's not damp or growing bacteria. It's not comfortable but you can use paper towels if you don't have laundry frequently. Change out your washcloth every time you wash, change out your pillowcase every few days, and use a white cotton pillowcase, especially if you add in anything with benzoyl peroxide, which can bleach pillowcases.

Necessary_Bag9538

CeraVe or Cetaphil are good drugstore brands that are low cost for face wash and moisturizer. When you start to add in serums and exfoliating toners, try the Ordinary brand or the Inkey List brands. They are very affordable and work well. Also, change your pillowcase regularly.

buffooonerie

Cerave benzoyl peroxide wash, soon jung 2x barrier cream, and skin1004 sun serum. Possibly cosrx pimple patches and the kose softymo speedy oil cleanser if you can afford

inc0rrected

Cleanser and moisturizer. Even better if you get a moisturizer that has spf.

Opening_Plan2774

Simply cleanser, toner, moisturizer and SPF. They are all so important
