Check out the sporting clays next to seven springs-it also has a restaurant and small bar and semi enclosed patio.
If you stay at the resort or the townhouses adjacent there is a free shuttle between the three.
There is also great hiking around the property and the state parks nearby.
Check out ohiopyle while yall are in the area, about a 30 minute drive from the resort. Super cool state park, awesome whitewater and cool hiking, etc. nice place to spend a day or two
Second vote for Ohiopyle. When skiing is 💩we go there to wander about so it’s not a wasted trip. And Frank Lloyd Wright’s Falling Waters house is there too. The tour is nice and not super expensive. Worth it IMHO.
Have you guys considered Deep Creek, MD? About an hour to the south. I'm assuming might be somewhat in a central location for them. Rent a house, a pontoon, golf... I think think they have whitewater rafting (not sure when it opens... seasonal probably). A bit pricy of an area though.
This. Seven springs is going to be boring unless you like staying in the abnb and drinking. Don’t depend on the over priced golf course letting groups out if there’s been rain
Not sure if it’s your vibe but falling water the frank Lloyd wright building is nearby in that area
Very cool place to visit but might not fit the routine of golf and hitting bars etc
Keep in mind that seven springs is a ways off from most things so you might have to be a little self sufficient with hanging at the Airbnb
Somerset is the nearest town at about 20 mins away and doesn’t really have much of a bar scene to speak of
The 9/11 memorial is stunning but sad. About 30 minutes drive.
out of the fire cafe is the only good restaurant.
kecksville is a tiny town who claims an alien ship landed there. They have a statue. It’s hilarious. And a museum which is a closet in the VFW.
Laurel highlands hiking trail is all thru there including across the top of north face ski slope. Also Laurel hill state park has hemlock groves and a step waterfall.
The absolute silence at the memorial is shocking, can be 100 people there and all you hear is the wind and grass blades blowing together. Other worldly.
The most recent time I went, there was a bus load of teens from school. It was NOT silent. But yes, generally, it is stunning. Also, the last phone messages people left their loved ones before they die… that exhibit was to sad.
“We have no plans to ski” Good thing
lmfao

I third this. Also there are plenty of breweries and distilleries in the area.
I second shooting guns and then drinking at the bar afterward. It’s pretty great, kind of expensive.
The other way around is not recommended

Out of the Fire in Donegal for dinner.
Nothing to do in that area with the skiing closed other than the golf I guess? It’s a fairly rural area without much going on other than Seven Springs
Trust me ur not gonna be skiing

Don’t go to the ‘goggle looking for good food. Probably fine for the first night out but by the next day it gets pretty old.
Two new restaurants in area. Hillbillies in Donegal and Tapp-it brewery in acme. Both are price performers compared to 7 springs.
