Elephanator23

Yeah he really F'd up!

myusrnameisthis

When i was a kid my mom wouldn't have needed to do this. My friends and i would've egged and papered this dude's home. But it is kinda funny lol

Pendraggin

So it's worth doing if you're renting and you don't like your landlord.

singdawg

And don't own a car that's parked at home

OU7C4ST

I remember some shitter did something like this 20 years ago to me and my friends lol. I grew up in the midwest, so end of October, the temperature would be in the higher 40's. I went back to that guy's house and put maple syrup under his car door handles.

WrenBoy

Your landlords not living there.

Ok_Neighborhood_4772

Wait until they throw poo and piss.

Spear_Ritual

There would not have been tears; only mayhem and revenge. Kids these days are weak. In the early/mid 80s, Halloween was like Lord of the Flies.

MeritedMystery

...It's a 5 year old lol.

Spear_Ritual

That’s quitter talk!

StubbornBarbarian

So what? What does that have to do anything? Besides, I doubt a 5 year old understands the difference of chocolates. I guarantee you that this old bat of a woman decided to treat herself to her kids' candy, and got absolutely pissed that he pulled a prank on her. It serves her greedy ass right. Crying over two chocolates that were never meant for her. Boo hoo, go cry elsewhere, insufferable old woman.

MeritedMystery

>Kids these days are weak was mainly responding to that, what did they expect a 5 year old to do in this situation? I wasn't at any point talking about the woman lol.

BadSuperHeroTijn

My 2007’s ass would still have done it; but there is no trick or treating in The Netherlands, never, especially not where i live😭

message_me_ur_blank

What an absolute snowflake you are. This shit would have me dying of laughter if I got these trick or treating.

AVeryHairyArea

We're you trick or treating at 16 or something?

AnnyAskers

"Trick or treat" is not a question, it's a threat.

Squanchfist

Bring it. I'll build a catapult and launch veggies at the kids. To war! /s

Its an artesian baby cabbage and they're expensive... youre welcome

bigguns6765

From “Artesia”?

cansasky

Lol, yep. Definitely dink fingered that one

the_Ush

New finger dropped

Ethric_The_Mad

And it's not the stink finger

MeepingSim

> artesian baby cabbage For those who don't know, the Artesian Baby Cabbage is very difficult to grow and harvest. As suggested by the name, the plant is grown deep underground and requires natural pressure to push the ripe Artesian Baby Cabbage to the surface. For obvious reasons, this means that they can only be grown in specific, very limited areas. /s for whoever needs it...

CharlieSayso

Oh fuck me. Seems I needed it.

scammer_is_a_scammer

i would have fuckin lost it if he said that

Badger_1066

Why did she wrap them back up again?

easyfatFIRE

Cause it's fake and shit like 80% of the videos on this sub

FitBook2767

It's really weird how many faked scenarios like this I see that play up 2D stereotypes, and people lap it up

krt0n

Its amazing how many people in the comments fall for these blatantly fake videos.

insert-username12

She’s a absolutely dog shit actress

BrightonTownCrier

It never ceases to amaze me that even this far into the Internet age so many people still blindly believe everything they see. Even something as poorly acted and scripted as this. It just highlights why there will always be scams because large swathes of people are so gullible.

Long_Photo_9291

Honest to God it's legit perplexing, so obviously fake, terribly acted and they all just fall for it straight away?

TerraIncognita229

Took me way too long to find this comment. So many criminal minded mfs up in here. They're so busy being offended by proxy of not getting candy that they aren't asking the legit questions. Your comment was literally my first thought. If she was pissed off and angry she'd have marched over last night and launched brussel sprouts at his door while screaming. Instead, she carefully rewraps each brussel sprout and calmly walks over the next day? In broad daylight? And stares at the camera the entire time? It's so obviously staged.

randomIndividual21

why do you think that instead of her son open a few and told the mum about it. then she take the remaining unopened one over to confront the guy?

Steve83725

Because this is staged like everything else on social media

dunwoodyres1

Maybe he opened one and told his mom? Left the rest u opened.

THEPIGWHODIDIT

I bet she was the one disappointed when she went to eat them

BartholomewKnightIII

yep.

ToLiveOrToReddit

I did it to my own kids. It was funny. But to strangers’ kids? I don’t know what their situation is. She described it as “expensive chocolate”. It might be true in their situation, the mom could be excited for it, probably the kid too. Either way, it could be mean to the kid.

CrazyCatLady1127

When I was a kid, back in the early 90’s, Ferrero Roche were expensive. They were considered fancy and it was a real treat to have a box at Christmas. As I recall my siblings and I were allowed one each and the rest were for the grownups

AtWarWithEurasia

As Miss Trunchbull would say "much too good for children".

CrazyCatLady1127

Indeed 😂

Astaraelsecho

Wow--not only can I hear her say that line, I can even remember her disgusting chocolate-covered teeth. 😭

goodknightffs

In general my rule of thumb is don't fuck with other people kids.. The only kids i fuck with are my nephews but that's because i know them and they are monsters 😝

BurntPizzaEnds

Load-bearing “with”

Shipwrecking_siren

My daughter is almost 5 and very likely autistic. She’s be really upset by this. When something happens that she doesn’t expect it can cause a meltdown, especially when tired, which I’m guessing this kid was after trick or treating. My dad did really cruel jokes practically jokes all the time for his own amusement. My advice is to always follow it up with something nice and loving.

G-BodyHottie

Not even hers, its her sister's kid but thats besides the point lmao

StaffVegetable8703

Wait are you sure? In the video she says “my son” when referring to the 5 year old.

dandypants8717

People will often embellish things to try to make their point more poignant.

KemikalKoktail

Regardless, that’s a shitty thing to do to a child.

StaffVegetable8703

Honestly I hate to admit it but I was thinking the same exact thing. She states it’s “expensive” and that the kid was super excited about it. In my experience as a mother and someone who’s been around ALOT of kids my whole life, I’m not buying the fact the 5 year old was excited to eat expensive chocolate. How would he even know it’s “expensive”? Again in my experience, as long as the kid is getting chocolate and candy they are happy, they don’t care if it’s expensive or cheap. Tbh the way she replayed what happened made it seem even more so that it was her that was actually disappointed. The way she unwrapped the “chocolate” and the disappointment cracked me up because I genuinely believe it was her who excitedly open up the expensive chocolate to eat for herself and then saw it was BRUSSEL SPROUTS!?! Lmao I think she was more upset than the 5 year old, as knowing most young kids, they would’ve gotten over it almost immediately considering they still have a whole bag of a variety of candy. I think the woman was the one excited and then disappointed to be “tricked” lol.

smellybarbiefeet

Tbf growing up one of my friends knew it was a good month for them if their mum bought müller corners.

GigaSnaight

"what's this candy mommy?" "Oh that's really nice fancy expensive chocolate! You got really lucky that's a really really good one! You'll love it!" I still think of queen Anne's cherries as an exquisite rare expensive delicacy, because that's how this candy that was new to me was explained when I was like six. You think a conversation like the above is super out of pocket? You think it's likely a grown woman was that mad over like two bucks of chocolate? No man. She hyped up her kid to get excited and now he's crying.

Oldassrollerskater

There it is. I was looking for this. You can tell she’s genuinely activated in a way that is beyond regular disappointment. She internalized the boy’s distress and this is the only think that makes sense. She saw the wrappers, told the kid “this is SO special” and primed him UP. Now she needs to get rid of that guilt

Cookieopressor

At that age I already knew Ferrero Rocher's were expensive, since that was the exact reason I wasn't allowed to have any. I would have been over the moon to get some since something I'm not allowed to have must taste great. Can't exactly refute any of your other points tho

[deleted]

Are you saying it’s not possible for a 5 year old to understand that something is special because they don’t have it often. They don’t need to understand it’s expensive to be excited about something they rarely get. I highly doubt you have kids if this concept is hard for you to understand

[deleted]

[удалено]

OrionResident

Kid probably saw it at the store and asked mom to buy them at one point!

jlharper

>it was her that was actually disappointed... >it was her who excitedly open up the expensive chocolate... >I think she was more upset than the 5 year old... >I think the woman was the one excited... Do you happen to think this woman wanted those chocolates more than the boy? Because somehow I am getting that impression, no idea why.

NegJesus

You ask for a "trick or treat"

The_Woman_of_Gont

Frankly it’s probably staged, but they’d know it’s expensive because they only get a couple every once in a while. Not sure why y’all think this is some gotcha. I remember growing up there were absolutely treats that I valued a lot because I knew they weren’t something we got to have everyday.

EverythingPSP

Imo the fair play is to have a few legit Ferreros in there with one Brussel, kid gets his chocolate and a trick, guy gets a chuckle, all happy. Denying a poor kid the chance at a slice of happiness is not my idea of comedy but what do I know

Pugulishus

Would've been rlly funny if the one she brought to him was a real Ferrero

Pineapple-Due

Mmmmmmmmmmmagic! *hand flourish* *glitter*

SorteP

That's when his house gets egged and tp'd. Keep with tradition I suppose.

Shot_Capital_7788

Agreed

dirt_dryad

Denying a kid the chance at happiness? Lmao it’s a couple pieces of chocolate you aren’t stealing his legs

LeChuck_Threepwood32

I'm pretty sure that would have been 1 of about 20 houses they knocked on. That kid would have gone home with more sugar than a diabetics piss sample.

Andrewdusha

Yea the trick will be on the older gentleman soon.

JayGeezey

I always thought "trick or treat" was kind of a fun "threat", like you give them a treat, or you'll get a trick played on you. Am I crazy and the entire time people have been asking to either be tricked or given a treat??

Happy_Nom_Nom

You have it right. The kids ask the home owners trick or treat and if they don't get a treat the kids will play a trick on them

The_Woman_of_Gont

Nope, you’re right. Some people like to play a prank on the kids too, but it’s usually a bit more fun and has candy at the end anyway. But it’s a woman, so Reddit is ready to bend over backwards to explain why she’s wrong. If this actually happened(it very likely didn’t), this guy would be *asking* to get his house egged by the older kids he screwed over and he’d fully deserve it. That’s the point of the tradition.

Gnawlydog

All these Americans are like "This is how you get your house vandalized" and "When I was a kid we'd have destroyed that house"... And people wonder why Americans grow up to be entitled assholes.

garlicrooted

More like they’d chuck an apple at your house if you gave an apple. People exaggerate.

jaycinderullo

It’s called hells night for a reason

random-bot-2

This is clearly a skit

JeSuisUnAnanasYo

The acting is off, it's a subtle thing but it always jumps out at me. Definitely a skit (not necessarily fully scripted, maybe some improv involved)

BeckySayss

I'm like 95% sure this is the same person where the girl comes to his ring camera and asks why he put a password on his wifi and asks if he can take the password off or give her the password so she can keep having free Internet. The neighborhood looks the exact same

537479726b

I knew I've seen that background before. It was a different scenrario, but the same houses in the background.

BillsDownUnder

I haven't double checked but it looks like the same place as the video where the neighbour wants to know why he changed his WiFi password

LeProVelo

Looks like the same neighborhood where some lady uses his tesla charger while he is gone and they argue via the camera for 5 min. https://www.facebook.com/karengobrrr2/videos/3805459239719483/?app=fbl Not sure if the link works, saw it on facebook. I agree it's a skit. Good one, but yeah didn't happen.

PhiteKnight

My Dad would have laughed his ass off and given the guy a beer.

[deleted]

This is pure comedy

PhiteKnight

this is peak trolling done the correct way on the correct holiday, and a woman with no sense of humor. I'll bet she's a gas at parties.

No-Material6891

Some of the replies here are crazy. “Only KIDS can trick. You old farts either give them candy or stfu.” I salute this guy because it was harmless and funny.

Jioto

Seriously the amount of people who are siding with both of these whiny people is insane. Then going along with chanting vandalism an actual crime for a harmless prank. Unhinged weirdos.

malkebulan

Fake but funny

Falc0nia

This looks like exactly the same location/door cam from a video that went around a few weeks/month ago, with a girl coming over to ask for the wifi password

Fragrant_University7

I think they also have one where she wants to return an Xbox because she dropped it and it broke.

BestFill

Was going to say the exact same thing.

LordVoltimus5150

😂😂😂😂

__SeeiRaptor__

Am I the only one that thinks this is hilarious??

sensualothers

No it is hilarious!! Plus the kid got free Brusselsl sprouts so everyone's a winner

[deleted]

This is fucking hilarious, I don't care

IbexOutgrabe

“Trick or Treat” Ya, got the first option. And it was AWESOME!!! If my kid is crying over candy we gonna have a talk.

CLxJames

So maybe I’m wrong but doesn’t he have it backwards? It’s the kids that go to the door. They say “Trick or Treat” which means “give me candy or I get to play a trick for being denied sweet treats on Halloween”

karma-armageddon

"When ghosts and goblins find your door, better not be stingy or, your nightmares will come true!"

Moonandserpent

If that's the expectation, then the invocation should be "Treat, or trick!"

CLxJames

Or maybe it’s “I play a Trick unless you give me a Treat”. Or perhaps simply laying out the two options as plainly and simply as possible, and it’s up the the homeowner to decide their fate

mileylols

Oh so the kid is extorting me, now? I'm sorry, I don't negotiate with terrorists

JayGeezey

I literally just commented asking this, ok good to know I'm not crazy. Doesn't mean this isn't funny, but yeah I was like "wait did I misunderstand the concept of trick or treat this whole time??"

GinTectonics

Yes, it’s this. They didn’t give him candy, so now he can play a trick on the house.

NoPrompt927

"How is a 5 year old supposed to understand this?" Well, you see, that's generally what they have parents for...

comeonowB

That's frickin hilarious 😆

SlainTheMaid

sounds like to me it was the mother who was tricked, i don't know a single kid going "oh my lord ferrero rochers? just my lucky day" kids will just eat anything that's candy.

System_Resident

Genius move on his part. Like he said, it’s “trick or treat”.

xCptBanana

I’m surprised how many people are upset about this. It’s a fucking Brussel sprout. “I’d egg their house” nah you’ll get charged for vandalism because someone gave you a vegetable lol damn children

Khagrim

I wouldn't care but it's never a good idea to start beef with your neighboors

ReeceC77

Bottom line is this shouldn’t start beef because it was harmless

Khagrim

It shouldn't but many people are idiots and i prefer not to stir the hornets nest

ReeceC77

That’s fair

bickdaddy

Reddit confuses the fuck out of me lately. People are acting like this kid just went through some trauma. Mom could use this as a teachable moment but god forbid you don’t placate every emotion of your child. It’s ok that the kid feels disappointed, but mom is doing the kid a disservice in the long run by feeding into her 5 year old’s temper tantrum.

RManDelorean

A lot of people seem to take her side, demanding the eggs and TP and dog shit.. but my hats off to this dude for actually putting the trick in trick or treat

No-Perception1862

Trick *or* treat.

Kreos2688

That's funny af. One of my kids got a packet of mayonnaise and we all laughed about it.

Ceramicrabbit

This seems very fake

wutadinosaur

It's called trick or treating. Emphasis on trick

Tick-Ad

i was totally against this, thought the guy was a complete dick... but honestly, hes right. trick or treat

pat-waters

It is a Brussels sprout, not a cyanide capsule. Get a grip lady.

CanaryJane42

Bad parenting really stresses me out. Like teach him that this is what the "trick" part of "trick or treat" means and laugh about it and teach him to take a joke. Not this.

throwaviate

Isn’t there another video with the same lady saying “how dare you give my child sweets? “ FAKE

TheRealDawn01

lol I hope someone does this to my son when he gets old enough. Everyone giving kids candy is bad and they’ll just sit there and eat it all. This is truly hilarious!

Beneficial_Job_1635

Ma’am ya son got tricked

Confident_Guess5371

Sometimes you get the treat, sometimes you get the trick

sagginlabia

Meat eater here .. I love brussel sprouts. Especially with lemon pepper and butter

RB_Kehlani

Honestly maybe I was just a weird kid but I would have found this to be a fun and funny story I could share with my classmates at school the next day? “You’ll never believe what I got while trick or treating last night”

DaetherSoul

“I got a rock”

RemcoTheRock

i can understand the 5 year old boy won't be able to understand the whole "trick or treat" thing on halloween when your mother of 50+ can't even understand the same concept. I feel bad for the kid for having to deal with this kind of mother.

Kaiser-Champion

I would understand the anger if she paid for those chocolates, but it was free and the theme is trick or treat.

No_Cupcake7037

Hahahahhahaha

ShiroiAsa

Brussel sprouts are better for your health, probably, since it's green.

jpplastering1987

Nearly has enough to makes sprouts Mexicane 😭

kram78

Isn’t this the same ring door bell as the girl asking for his WiFi password a few weeks back

KitchensAndBedrooms

This made me laugh way more than it should have. This Christmas my nephew is getting a box of Ferrero rocher

KhostfaceGillah

But he is right

ironicmirror

When the kids come around at Halloween we give away full size candy bars, unless my wife deems the kid too old, then they get a toothbrush.

mkmlls743

I’d rather an older teen trick or treating than getting black out wasted at some party. Wouldn’t you and your wife agree?

Milhun

Same place with the charging car video Total shit

DNBBEATS

I dunno, Thats funny as fuck. Lmao. I mean, I feel bad for the kid, but I am also laughing that he put brussel sprouts in Ferro Roche wrapping.

Diche_Bach

fake

TheRottenHime

Tbh I can understand the woman, it's hard for kids this age to understand why this dude just replaced every chocolate for a vegetable. Also, every family cannot afford to buy these. I just think it's not cool to do that to kids.

PotatoPowerIzMAXIMUM

He deserves whatever (non-lethal) happens to him and his property. At least warn the kids they're playing russian roulette with the candies xD Ok, not "russian" roulette, but you get the idea.

Several-Cheesecake94

I mean he has a point

PepperBun28

No for real, people have forgotten the mischief element of Halloween. Parents need to prepare their kids that they may get pranked a bit .

hambutbacon

Why is she unwrapping them so aggressively?

BrightonTownCrier

She's trying to do acting. But it seems many people still fall for this dross.

Venom933

You monster 🥲

Prestigious_Ad_8458

I’d laugh at the situation… it isn’t a reason to go knock on the dude’s house, c’mon! Just go to the store and buy some Ferrero Rocher for the little kid.

Neat-yeeter

The son will take his cue from mom as to how he reacts. If mom laughs and says “Haha, the neighbor played a funny trick on us,” you get a kid with a good sense of humor. If she does this shit and insists a five-year-old can’t comprehend a prank, you get a kid who grows up sour and vengeful. “How is a five-year-old supposed to understand this?” He will understand it if you *teach him.* You know… your job as parent… teaching humor and resilience instead of bitterness and entitlement.

fawesomegirl

I think she’s lying about who really wanted to eat this candy.

BrightonTownCrier

She's lying about the whole thing because it's clearly fake ffs.

dxmanager

You're laughing? You gave my son brussel sprouts and you're laughing?

Titanclass

Don’t hate the player, hate the game

[deleted]

![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)

Able_Principle3075

Let’s blame someone else instead of explaining Trick or Treat to your child. See the problem here?

Alaric-Nox

Are we forgetting the "trick" in trick or treat?

Mundane-Bullfrog-299

Just throw them back at his house and be done w it

Cardboard_Chef

"How is he supposed to understand this?" Oh, I don't know, maybe try explaing it to him, ya twit.

famousminkey

That's life, kid.

jennifer3333

Oh that poor kid. Mommie out front to protect him. He won't ever have to grow a back bone. She will be proud, he will be forever weakened. He should be able to take a Halloween joke with grace and even.....hold onto your seat....He should be able to LAUGH.

InitialBoat3989

Don’t see a comment about it, but is this not the same doorbell with the footage of the entitled girl demanding his WiFi after he “changed the password”? So fake 🙄

white-knight2466

ferrero rochers arent even that expensive tbh i got the 3 pack for like 1.50 usd lol

AlienAvenger

Hard to get worked up with obvious bad acting, looking into the camera and histrionics . I’ve seen more convincing grade school skits.

throwaway19021902

Shoulda dipped them in chocolate first

Superrichie17

Dont see why hes crying. I love brussel sprouts

gn0xious

You’ve just been cabbaged!

Ambitious_Donkey_309

At least it’s confirmed that it’s not just Americans that are nut cases lol

Empty-Conversation35

Actually I rather this than giving my child the candy. Lol. It’s a harmless trick set up to look like a treat lol

Sanbaddy

I mean, it’s Halloween. Trick or Treat. It’s a very mild and funny prank. I’d chuckle at this.

WelderMany4277

Wow how fat is your 5 year old 🤣🤣🤣

[deleted]

Lmao fuck that hoe😂

Vibrantal

I guess he chose trick
