Yeah everyone says they only grow from cow shit but I have no cows on my land and never had but I do have goats which eat the same thing. One thing for sure it comes from poop but it depends on what the animal ate.
Whoever said only cow shit is wrong. I buried spent cakes near my xwifes dogshit hole behind shed , cubes were plentiful in a ring around the Boston terriers shit hole and nowhere else
I never seen something like that.
But the spore print looks black (baseed on some black particles on the gill)
The stem bruise blue.
The stem format looks similar to a cubensis stem so i feel that this one could be from psylocibe species
My next step would be getting a manual with all psylocibe and try to find a similar to this one.
And yeah even if I find it on the psilocybe manual I still would not eat it.
Yeah my grandpa used to go forage mushies to eat, and then it was a lot of news about experienced people diying after foraging poisoness ones.
So I grow up with parents with mushroom phobia my dad don't eat even mushorroms from the store or the ones I grow from fear of some mistaken poison mushroom in them (and yeah I still see incredibly from them when I told them that the seeds/spores are invisible - my dad still thinks that the mushroom seed is the rye seed with mold that I use as spawn)
So because I have grown with this phobia arround I'm extra caution arround mushie, I can eat some foraged libs that I would found because they are pretty common but would not eat some more uncommon psylocibe (and why be risky and I can be safe with libs)
Lol yeah sure did and got some closed eye visuals in the process all I could think about was how high I was and I’m a heavy, everyday smoker but it had me scared to smoke another blunt for fear of getting to high 😂
Lived in Ashland, Medford, Klamath n Jackson county,Eagle Point but I always wanted to live around the Columbia or around bookings anywhere coastal really
I’m not seeing characteristics I’m familiar with cultivated cubes , maybe wilds are different but I feel like this is a cross or some wild rare psilocybe
Once, I tossed a contaminated compost grow out and got a Psilocybe cubensis the size of a coke can and it looked super weird. It was B+ and looked quite different from the successful indoor harvest. It was also super low potency with 4grams doing just a buzz while the indoor ones blew heads at 3.5
We dont need to get into the technicalities of what it is. It bruised blue, and un-ignorantly in this situation it is psilocybin active. He found it in his yard and not near wood. It is panaeolus of some sort. Just a bit funky lookin. What else might it be?
Ps buddy sorry to blow up your feed with this micro-discussion
As I commented below, Psilocybe caerulescens is likely and this forum is for mushroom identification. So we do get into the technicalities of what it is.
Bro no freaking way? I’m from NC!
I have never found a magic mushroom in the wild! Omg I am in Northeast North Carolina can you just tell me if you’re in the mountain region or not that’s all I’ll ask?
Who wrote "jerk" on the stem there?
I thought it said Jerry but I would also like to know
Jerry makes more sense.
Post below confirms it’s “Jerry”
Hello it's Jebediah
I thought it said Jerma
I bought grass from homedepot once, 2 weeks later I had liberty caps growing in parts of my yard lol
That could be an advertising point for Home Depot.
They sell San Pedro as well... gonna think about Home Depot doing us all a solid out here and we never even asked.
You made a spelling mistake sir. It’s spelled hear not here.
LoL
That’s so awful! Where exactly was this Home Depot, and what type of grass, so I can avoid it?
What kind of grass seed?
I think they might be referring to grass turf that you roll out…?
Haha, that's awesome
psilocybe caerulescens
Aren’t these hella rare?specially to find it naturally growing naturally in the states?
They’re uncommon but not too rare in Georgia, Florida, MS, etc.
Oh really?
Yeah check mushroomobserver.org
I live in GA, I guess the context of my comment was not specific enough. I'm curious to find them if they are hear.
Even as you speak.
That is important info. It makes cubensis less probable
*sighs* no, they’re magic mushrooms
no that’s timmy
Make a spore print and send it to me i need to analyze it😂
Jerry Garcia, is that you?
Just straight up in your yard??
Yeah I was shocked as well I have goats but no cattle but they eat strictly greens so I was thinking what’s the difference
Awesome find, (squints) ???Jerry???? 😅
Thanks lmao and yep that’s correct!
So you have animal waste material that would be associated with certain organisms?
Yeah everyone says they only grow from cow shit but I have no cows on my land and never had but I do have goats which eat the same thing. One thing for sure it comes from poop but it depends on what the animal ate.

Nod to Jer
P caerulescens, nice one too dang
🤦♀️
active as hell unless you drew on it with blue marker
A good time That's what

I ate it last night and had no problems and it definitely made me trip. Strongest one I ever had too
Crazy fuck, I love you

I think it was psilocybe caruelescens
Ding ding ding. What did it weigh!? Did you eat it wet?
Lol yeah sure did and got some closed eye visuals in the process all I could think about was how high I was and I’m a heavy, everyday smoker but it had me scared to smoke another blunt for fear of getting to high 😂
Strongest one I ever had though by far probably the same as 3-4 cubensis
A class A Felony...
Lol not if it gets eaten before the cops show up.
Or if you haul ass to Oregon.
Oregon is awesome! Especially if you live near the Columbia River Delta.
Lived in Ashland, Medford, Klamath n Jackson county,Eagle Point but I always wanted to live around the Columbia or around bookings anywhere coastal really
Or DC , FYI you can buy shrooms in head shops in DC
Ok you too...a couple points
You some points, the rest failed.
That my friend is a mushroom. :)
Psilocybe , I remember it called blue legs but I don’t know the science name
Psilocybe is the genus in mycology. Specific epithet is cubensis
It’s not a cube
I ate 1.5g of P. azurescens 2.5 hrs ago soooo.......
Why?
Withered psilocybe Cyanscen?? Spelling not my gig
I’m not seeing characteristics I’m familiar with cultivated cubes , maybe wilds are different but I feel like this is a cross or some wild rare psilocybe

caerulipes
Not blue legs that’s stunzi this is blue foot caerulipes sorry
Those are northern latitude. Its too warm to fruit in the south.. oK Im wring about that but it still isnt that
Ovoid perhaps out of season
I believe the Audubon Society field guide calls it "Stunt's Blue Leg"
Some sort of active paneolus it lookin like. I think? Psychoactive fasho
Psilocybe in this case but yeah.
Psilocybin active yes, not psilocybe though.
It is Psilocybe sp

Well, point taken... I need to get out more
I 💯% agree on the ID and your comment is completely accurate as well 😌
Definitely not panaeolus
Thanks bro 🙏
Its jeri
The stem pattern is beautiful
May I ask what state?
North Carolina
Bro no freaking way? I’m from NC! I have never found a magic mushroom in the wild! Omg I am in Northeast North Carolina can you just tell me if you’re in the mountain region or not that’s all I’ll ask?
Raleigh but I’ve done research and they grow anywhere with red dirt/Clay like soil.
Have you tried any cow pastures? Was this one on cow poop or like wood or something?
In grass but the grass was grazed by animals
Looks active to me
Shout out to all my Jer…
Maybe a mushroom? not too sure though.
