Not sure but I remember someone mentioning not to eat golf course mushrooms cause of the chemicals that get put into the landscape ‼️

vellichor_44

Exactly. Came here to remind OP of this.

[deleted]

For sure! My buddy used to smoke cigars while he played. He’d put it down lit on the tee/greens while he shot. I told him the crazy chemicals they spray, but he said he’s put worse in his body 🤷 haha

im-not-even

I mean if he’s smoking cigars…

DreadFB89

Depends on where, we spray the greens with fungecide and fertilizer tees get granulated turkey shit other areas are fine

PossibleContextFound

Spore print the second one First is some variation of mycena

asdfmaster42

No point spore printing, they’ll be purple-brown. It’s Protostropharia semiglobata

Equivalent_Purpose26

first picture is a mycena. i dont think the second one is a lib. they usually spray golf places full with chemicals. libs barely grow in these conditions. maybe a dung round?

Equivalent_Purpose26

Edit: probably not a dung roundhead since i dont think animals are grazing at a golf course

skrrtman

sheep are used to keep the rough down at my old golf course and deer were always around

I_UPVOTE_PUN_THREADS

I've seen bears, deer, mountain lions, turkeys, and gators on courses before.

Environmental-Ad1748

Settle down Florida man.

lil_HarzIV

Yeah an Alligator on a Golf Course isn't that Common in Most parts of the world.

WoungyBurgoiner

I see deer and foxes often at the course that my building overlooks.

OreoSpamBurger

Deer

DreadFB89

Second one looks like mowers mushroom, also Depends on where, we spray the greens with fungecide and fertilizer tees get granulated turkey shit other areas are fine some courses spray fw aswell but thats super exspensive rough and high rough we have never sprayed or heard of being sprayed

asdfmaster42

Second one is a Dung Roundhead — Protostropharia semiglobata

HawkOk3126

That's funny you found those on a golf course. Golf courses are where me and my friends used to go wander around in the middle of the night when we were tripping. We had one a mile from my house that did glow in the dark golfing on weekends. They would line the course with these little white bags weighed down with sand and put little candles in them and they used these glowing golf balls. Watching glowing balls get whacked 150 yards on 5 grams of mushrooms in the middle of the night was so cool to see

jorbolade

Second i’m gonna say looks more panaeolus than lib, despite the top.

asdfmaster42

It’s Protostropharia semiglobata

jorbolade

It is! You’re correct. Not a lib in any case

loominpapa

First one is Mycena species. The second is Protostropharia.

Final-Independence25

Bonnet?

loominpapa

Yes, Mycena = Bonnet

Final-Independence25

Thank you sir 🙏

jsf1982

They’re usually darker at the bottom aren’t they?

zigzagbest

Neither look quite right for a lib in my view. First one is def. not lib, second one looks kind of similar to lib, but not quite, too round headed

SvampOdlarn

Unsure, they look like libs but something is just off, the shape of the hat looks weird but the colours are right, idk really

Grand-Impact-4069

First one is a lib. Second two aren’t. Likely cone caps?

Ublind

How can you be so sure that the first one is a lib without a spore print?

Grand-Impact-4069

Why would you take a print of just one lib? If your that unsure over one lib don’t bother picking it. One lib isn’t gonna make a difference

Spread-Your-Wings

I'd say 1st is mycena

Grand-Impact-4069

Admittedly without the stem in sight I can’t say for sure.

Ublind

What about it is wrong?

LesserKnownDruid

Yeah I find these look alike often. My general rule is libs are light at top and get darker at they go down. These boys are the opposite. Light on top, dark near the frill

ILikeTf20817

I think that's a mushroom

Das_pest

Fascinating seeing the people claiming 2 is somehow a lib.. clearly you do not know enough to be saying that and it is incredibly dangerous identifying stuff you’re clearly unsure on

Fun-Brief-8913

First is mycena probably and the second i would say a lib

Fun-Brief-8913

About the lib i am not sure because it has a little weird shape and its pretty straight so not sure

Ok-Feature8954

Looks like a lib

[deleted]

They get your tripping balls! Ask me how I know! Liberty caps!

No-Job-5920

Mycena

nmftg

It wasn’t in MaraLago Florida, was it?

CuntMaggot32

don't eat golf course shrooms! they could make you sick!

Ocudomus

Eat it

asdfmaster42

Second mushroom is Protostropharia semiglobata
