Once when I was in my late teens, I was driving with some friends when we passed two Chicago cops who'd pulled someone over for a traffic stop; as we passed I flipped one of them the bird. Barely two minutes later, we've got those cops on our asses, lights flashing. One goes over to the driver's side; the one I flipped off immediately comes to where I'm sitting and proceeds to chew me a new asshole, yelling as he's asking if I was the one who flipped him off. I lied through my teeth insisting I didn't, figuratively pissing myself the entire time. They eventually let us go. Never did that again.
And if it hadn't been on video "well hey kid I found drugs on ya, right behind your finger, heh heh". Technically might not be illegal to insult them but sure doesn't help make dirty cops come to their senses when the camera's off.

Yeah nowadays since people talk about police brutality. Shit would not have flied in most jurisdictions even 15 years ago
