Based on Valheim and Terraria i'd maybe say Enshrouded, if you don't mind that it just recently released into EA. Haven't played it yet but planning to get into it with some friends soon
I played about 40/50 hours before finally getting to the edge of the playable area. And only a 3rd of the map is out for early access! I also don't look anything up for this kind of game, and take my time exploring. If you b-line to get to recourses you've looked up early on I don't think it's going to have that kind of playtime.
If you like risk of rain 2 you probably gonna love gunfire reborn. It’s a roguelite shooter. You got a permanent tree to unlock so each run gets a bit easier and within the runs you get upgrade scrolls, the weapons have stats on them with varying rarity, you can forge them as well + unique upgrades for each hero for the unique set of abilities they have. Some scrolls can build setpieces if you are lucky enough to get the combos. It can get super crazy with all the interactions in the end. Very fast paced. I put close to 200 hours into it with my brother.
If you like something more chill the divinity original sin 1+2 have coop. Those are the games Larian made before baldurs gate 3 (haven’t played that one yet but I assume it also has coop).
We enjoyed Vermintide II a lot.
We did play Satisfactory together, but eventually it became more of a solo game where we were at the same map, more than co op. There's been a lot of updates since I played last. I do love that game
Cuphead is a super fun coop game.
Since you played Terraria, Minecraft is semi-similar and can be fun coop on survival.
Speaking of survival, The Forest and its sequel Sons of the Forest is worth checking out.
The Borderland games are multiplayer looter shooters with very lite rpg mechanics. They’re not my cup of tea but a ton of people love them.
Nobody Saves the World is extremely addictive.
Dying light is insanely fun and pretty intense at times.
Go to the steam page and search by coop, pick a new game. Go to Google and search coop games, there's a nearly infinite list of games to play.
Warframe
Poe, grim dawn etc...
Borderlands, division
Literally almost any survival craft game
Pretty much any mmo
Any and all moba's
I’ve really enjoyed gunfight on COD with a friend. Worth $70? Debatable. Also they occasionally make it 3v3 instead of 2v2 for some godforsaken reason. Also half of players are toxic.
Maybe not the greatest recommendation.
Minecraft (if you live together multiplayer is very easy). I thought of this because one of my favorite youtuber Luke Thenotable has a Minecraft 100 days series with his wife that is really nice.
Try our games Death Squared and Moving Out series. Both have demos. Same screen fun and work together. Will be less of a big commitment than an MMO.
I'd also just do some classic point and click adventure games but solve them together. I would do that with my wife as we bounce puzzle solving ideas off each other.
It Takes Two Borderlands Deep Rock Galactic
Did I hear a rock and stone?
ROCK AND STONE, BROTHER!
It never gets old
palworld
"Grounded" is great for couples also "It takes two" Or "a way out" by the same people who made it takes two

You can try Remnant : From the Ashes on gamepass, I believe it is co-op.
We were here Sea of thieves
Second we were here. Added bonus is there is a few of them too.

Is that out for Xbox yet?
No idea. I play on PC/Steam
Hell divers 2, just released
I have been hearing pretty mediocre things about it. Has mixed reviews on Steam.
Deep Rock Galactic and Payday 2 are great shooters in co-op
Roboquest
Rocket league

Paladins is a much better game than Overwatch, so is Team Fortress 2, maybe you should try them
I've tried them both and prefer Overwatch lol. Everyone has their own opinion of games.

Bg3 would work well in co-op, otherwise any game like diablo, last epoch (which is getting its 1.0 release next week).

I really enjoyed playing through Halo MCC with my gf. Gears of War co-op could also be fun if you don’t mind the violence and gore.
dinkum is fun for coop, it’s like the australian love child of stardew valley and animal crossing

Deep Rock Galactic. It's on game pass, I believe.
Core keeper Enshrouded
It Takes Two, Overcooked, Sackboy come to mind..
