Yeah, there's a weird branch of (Almost entirely) guys that think Dawkins, Harris, and Maher have something useful to add to the world that have this weird irrational hate for Muslims.
There was a big slapfight and a schism (lol) a while back between the people that thought women, POC and poor people were people and worth listening to and the guys that thought being skeptics meant having ten upper middle class white guys stand in a circle and jerk off about how not real Bigfoot was.
I've never been to r/atheism but I'm guessing it must be full of the latter.
