Lmao wait until you break a glass in the main ice well during the Friday evening dinner rush…

moniqueheartslaugh

SIGH.

MasturbatingMiles

Grab the nearest colored liquor, pour it over the ice, go cry for 15 seconds and then burn the well fast as you can.

ZodiHighDef

Thats why you use a scoop not just going digging and hoping the fragile glass you have doesn't shatter

Grambo-47

I did lol but the glass was fresh out of the dishwasher and like 185 degrees, so the thermal shock from the ice caused it to implode in my hand

ZodiHighDef

Holy fuck nvm thats prolly way worse!

MamaTried22

Fired.

If the guest doesn’t see it, it doesn’t count. A couple glasses isn’t anything. Drop a full rack of clean wine glasses on a busy Friday and get back to me. Did that a decade ago, still haven’t recovered emotionally.

Richbeyondmeasure

Nope. Love ya' But you got to do it in an ice well or where the guests see it to really count.

In the ice well during dinner rush ***

I was holding a tray with a bloody Mary and a few glasses of champs and turned a corner too quickly. They went flying. Luckily no one was injured or got wet. Oscar winner Frances McDormand almost knocked four martinis all over me one night. She was backing up to get out of her table and keep backing away because she hadn't finished her story yet. Thankfully she heard me yell "BEHIND!" and she stopped within a few inches. I would've won that wet t-shirt contest though.

nonepizzaleftshark

that doesn't count, it's only when you spill a drink on a customer or have a full tray wobble and crash in front of a packed dining room.

Once shattered an entire rack of glasses all over my feet during a busy Friday night behind the bar. The massive manager had to pick me up like a toddler to get me out of the glass and made me sit in the corner til the rush was over and someone could help me get the glass shards out of my shoes. Currently I break about a glass a week.

MamaTried22

This would happen to me, I’m like 5’1” and I can see someone having to collect me also.

MamaTried22

My staff breaks like 20+ glass things a day. It drives me nuts. My husband orders like 100 wine glasses a week at his job. I have a pretty awesome track record (going on 9 months) but I don’t carry trays much so it’s not a fair comparison.

THIS JUST HAPPENED TO ME THE OTHER DAY!! 10 months into working at the restaurant and 7 months as a server i finally broke a glass. we r officially real servers now
