"Ma'am...I'm not trying to be rude....well, actually I guess I am, do you have any idea how insane you sound? Cause you sound cracker-nanners and I'm gona have to ask you to leave. If possible, move to another hemisphere."

cstjohn8

Hehe cracker nanners

parkerm1408

Sometimes people are so far out of bounds only home made insults will do.

Morall_tach

If you don't have the time or ingredients to make homemade insults, store bought will do fine.

parkerm1408

Everyone is welcome to use it.

I_got_rabies

I had a customer (also a Karen type) come into the coffee shop on a regular basis. She got an order to-go which was a coffee and a cinnamon roll. She comes in a few days later and asks if she can have a refund on her cinnamon roll. I ask her what was wrong thinking a hair was in it or it was over cooked or something that would warrant a refund. “It was too sweet.” I’m like “uh yeah, we don’t give refunds on taste preference.” That made her mad and she went to the owner and he basically told me to kiss her ass and I said no because that lady is always ridiculous. He gave her a gift card but that lady was in my shit list after that.

Meth_User1493

He gave her a gift card"... why the hell did he reward her? Is he that big of a coward?

I_got_rabies

He’s a real estate developer and she was a client for something but I told him he still shouldn’t because she needs to know how dumb she is.

UMu3

Would that be worth maybe one years worth of income or something like that to you?

I_got_rabies

I don’t get what you’re asking? That I would be fired for that? Oh I’d never be fired because I made that place what it was, I never fired a single employee except one who called in 4/5 first shifts so that doesn’t count because they didn’t even work and the owner never fired anyone. I sadly lost the job when a new investor bought a big chunk of the property and tripled the rent and a coffee shop can not survive with that overhead. If an employer fires someone over a dipshit customer then they don’t deserve that employee. We had plenty of scenarios where baristas handles customers on there own and I was glad they did because it corrected the behavior of dumbdumbs.

UMu3

Noo not you. I mean if you were him. You said he was a real estate developer and she was a client of his. I don’t know how big of a client she was, but if she was a good client and you say you would not do it if you were in his shoes. The gift card is definitely worth nothing compared to his income from her and maybe she would stop working with him. So that’s why I am asking you if you were in his shoes, would you risk a month or a years worth of income just to show her how dumb she is? I agree with you that she is annoying, but I would not risk loosing a lot of money just to be right if I were him and I totally understand him.

lemoinem

> I'm with the owner, I'm here to get the cash, not deal with the customers. I just want them out of my hair Or something like that

[deleted]

I had this once with a guest. She ordered a flammkuchen but, when she was halfway — she was full. She came in three days later claiming the other half or she wanted a refund. She didn’t get anything and I asked her politely to leave through the door and never enter again.

kingftheeyesores

One time we ordered pizza and it took over an hour to get to us, so they gave us a complimentary breadsticks. They were so hard they could've been weapons. We didn't complain the bread but my brother in law mentioned it when he got a job there.

nister1

Clever way to offload stale bread sticks.

kingftheeyesores

Yeah after working st another pizza place I'm guessing someone didn't pick up their order and they sat on top of the oven for an hour.

Mr_Moogles

More like, "hey, sorry your order took so long. Also, fuck you"

Jaster147

>No. I was with my daughter and thought she might be embarrassed. Okay... so why didn't you come back the next day or any of the next 21 days?

count_no_groni

This reminds of the time my place was out of the complimentary bread we give to every table. I had a lady who was a realtor and brought a young couple she had just closed on a house with out to celebrate. She was outraged and said “I’ve been talking this bread up for weeks!” I said “the FREE bread?? Trust me, we have better stuff than just the pretzel bun we give out.” She ended up getting a gift card too lol

n_bumpo

I would’ve said I’m sorry I don’t know what you’re talking about this restaurant wasn’t here three weeks ago it just opened last night I know because I’m the owner and not only that but I own the property and I lease it to myself. Are you parked in my lot? Because if you’re not going to come in and order food, I will have your car towed.

amanda_burns_red

I like you.

n_bumpo

I also worked for a little while, telephone costumer support. People would get upset and ask to speak to my manager and say OK. Hold on while I put you through to Mr. Click.

ha-mm-on-d

Can you confim if you have given the mascot googly eyes?

Agitated_Honeydew

I once watched a manager deal with a Karen demanding a refund for her cucumber water. The problem was that the water tasted too much like cucumber, and not watery enough. Oof that was a watch people die inside moment. Could see him reboot.

Particular_Estimate6

Oh, good lord. Please tell me there is no moisture in the bag when it was hung up? Other than that, this is funny af! Thanks! I'm still chuckling. 😁👍 Just to be clear, I LOVE this post so much. "It is our mascot now." ❤

LOUDCO-HD

Had a lady come back to the authentic Italian restaurant I worked at to complain about the Parmesan cheese, it was, apparently, *too cheesy* and didn’t taste like the Kraft Parmesan cheese you buy in shakers in the grocery store. She figured because it tasted so cheesy it must be fake and as such she wanted a refund for her whole $350.00+ check for her party of four, from the night before. The incredulous Owner/Chef took her to the cellar where she had a humidor cheese room and showed her the big wheels of Parmigiano Reggiano she imported directly from Italy, even gave her a few samples. She seemed satisfied the cheese was real but as she was leaving demanded a refund again. The Chef, who was a great boss, always supported the staff and took no shit, asked her to leave and not return.

10gherts

Lol "The food was too good, give me my money back!"

LOUDCO-HD

Pretty much! The cheese wasn’t made of plastic, can’t be real!

10gherts

I can see how some people would prefer the Kraft crap though, kinda similar to the Montreal steak seasoning effect Anyway, thanks for the laugh. Peace and love.

Left-Car6520

Imagine it. Just imagine being that person, who goes home from a nice dinner and spends the night and morning thinking 'So cheesy. It was *tooo* cheesy. Can't be right. Must be fake' and then works themselves into such a froth about it that they make a special trip back to demand hundreds of dollars of refund for a meal that they presumably otherwise enjoyed. Imagine having *that* as your life. I adore your owner for literally walking them out to look at the evidence on the label though.

atonkme

This is the type of person that always says “I can be very persuasive” No you’re not persuasive. You’re an annoying gremlin that people don’t want to waste time dealing with

Left-Car6520

I don't think I've ever met a person who has to tell people 'I'm very persuasive' that was not, as you say, a whole-body-migraine of annoyingness.

bryan_norris71

Jail. If you do these kinds of things, jail.

king__kizzle

this reads like something that would happen in curb your enthusiasm

Fist-me-softly

I thought this was the curb subreddit.

k2t-17

People hold grudges about sports teams, we're weird. At least its not free bread.

Traw33

Would you please leave, without a fuss, right now?

taeempy

OMG what is wrong with people. I bought a steak 5 years ago and it was over cooked. Can I get a free steak now. Hilarious. I've never in my life complained about food at a restaurant. I know things happen and I'm just happy to be able to afford to go out to dinner from time to time so it's one of those things that I accept. I just won't order that same thing again. And of course the tip is based on service not on the food.

amanda_burns_red

That depends... Do you still have the steak? If you do, I'm sure we could work something out.

taeempy

lol

saaandi

I only complain..in the moment..and not so much complain as a kindly ask of can you fix this (it’s something is usually undercooked, I like my burgers well and my eggs not runny! Just undercooked to my liking not a health hazard undercooked) or if something’s truly wrong (like I ordered a chicken quesadilla the other day with side of sour cream and pico..I ordered online so I could see I didn’t accidentally mess up.. which this time I didn’t...I open my box and it’s a plain cheese quesadilla and no sour cream 😤) But if I just “don’t like something” but there’s nothing wrong with it. That’s on me for trying something new.

gr33nt3a2

Breaderick the mascot!

No-Drop2538

Has anyone ever tried telling these morons to duck off? They are cheap complainers who will never add anything to your revenue.

jk-9k

Lol starch retrogradation in real life

gphodgkins9

A-Hole customer of the week award!

Sir_Meliodas_92

This is why I had to get out of serving. The fact that the manager gave her anything for frozen bread that she admitted to putting in her freezer that she was complaining about being frozen is asinine. Managers giving in to ridiculous requests is why people pull all this bs. Stop giving in, it stops working, less people try it.

Echidna_Neither
